There were still 2 bad guys frozen in place on their horses, so I shot them and looted them, and then went off to see more stupid crap... My horse! She is invisible, eh? That's a floating bear pelt. To fix it I fast traveled. Then, after finding a couple of gulls to skin, i figured it was time to do the Takeover daily, and as I'm waiting for the load in, all the players in the session start falling in my location, which means there is a cheater-tard amongst us. Hiply Posted April 17, 2020 Share Posted April 17, 2020 I have no screenshots, more's the pity, but yesterday I was gifted with two back to back WTF moments, one of which repeated today: 1. Yesterday, as I picked up a deer carcass, a steel cage appeared around me. 4 walls and a top, solid, could not get out of it and had to instance-swap back to Camp. This happened again today, to me and another player who was about 10 feet away from me. 2. Bearnado: Here I am riding down from snow country when suddenly I am teleported into Rhodes by the hotel where I - and others - am immediately turned into dead meat by a swarm of 6-8 pissed off and almost unkillable grizzlies...who kill me multiple times and have my mount for dinner. I was not surprised, to see Cripps, leaning on the butcher's table, scratching his own, mangy ass. Springfield, comes out and six pronghorn go down. STNeish Posted May 16, 2020 Share Posted May 16, 2020 Mine just happened tonight. Wanted to make some moonshine, so I went to do Maggie's Bootlegger mission to reduce the mash cost. Of course, it wouldn't let me in the shack, forcing an exit and reload. Finally get in the shack, and get a mission to wipe out some Revenuers. They're in a good spot, a nice big rock to take cover behind. I line them up in deadeye with my bolt action rifle, and fire all five rounds, taking out five revenuers. However, while it's shooting, a cougar wanders out from the other side of my rock, with no warning at all. Of course, I've just finished firing, so I'm in the reload cycle with the cougar RIGHT THERE, so I try to dodge around the rock. Meanwhile the Revenuers are shooting at me (laser accurate, of course). Cougar jumps on me, but I throw it off and deadeye fire five rounds into its head and upper body... and it completely ignores it. It circles as I try to reload again, but the Revenuers laser headshot me to death. So, I respawn, finish off the Revenuers, and head back to the cabin. On the way there, a hacker explodes me into the air and catches me on fire. Ordinarily, I'd leave the session, but that would invalidate the bootlegger mission, so I put up with it and carry on. Finally, I get to the Shack, but again it won't let me in. This means I need to exit the game... which invalidates the mission. What else could I do? So, I reload the game, get in the shack and get another bootlegger mission. It's the same one, to go kill the Revenuers, and even in the same spot. I get behind my rock and... can you guess? Yep, another cougar. However, this time I didn't use deadeye to attack the Revenuers, so I was able to use it on the cougar. However, it AGAIN ignored 4 shots to the head and jumped on me. I tossed it off, and was able to finish it with my revolver (yay, Schofield). I then finished off the Revenuers and headed back to the cabin. AGAIN, a hacker did his magic on me as I was on the way back, teleporting me away from where I was so he could shoot me more easily. When I respawned, I was near Blackwater (my Shack in just north of Emerald Ranch). So, I rode back to the cabin as fast as I could and it finally let me in to turn in the mission. I normally would do a second one, but with all the trouble I was having I decided just to pay the $30 for mash and go with it. I then spend half an hour in my bar waiting for the shine to finish. When it's ready (it's a flavoured batch, worth $83 dollars), I go out to drive it to its destination. The trip is strangely uneventful. There's a roadblock, but it's unmanned, so I drive through. When I get to the destination, the zoom effect happens, and then stays that way. After a few seconds, the wagon disappears, and the zoom effect goes away... and there's nothing to tell me how much xp and money I made on the mission. I press alt, and discover I got NOTHING for it. It glitched out. So, I go back to the shack, it lets me in and I go to the still to find... NO SHINE is ready. Not only did it glitch out, it consumed the shipment. All that time wasted. My character was standing in his camp (white flag was up), waiting for the Butcher's Table to complete a phase so I could go do the resupply. It was due to come up in a couple of minutes, so I went off to the kitchen. While I was there, I heard gunfire. I thought it might have been Cripps shooting at something, or perhaps a player had passed through the camp while trying to kill a deer or something, but I was also hearing the "Argh!" noises as if someone was being damaged. I came back to the computer to see my character in the process of being killed by... MYSELF. Someone had spawned a hostile duplicate of ME in my camp. Adding insult to injury, Cripps wouldn't even try to kill him. I guess he didn't know which one was the real me. Annoying, but kind of amusing. So, knowing there was a hacker in the session, I left the session. I was reluctant to do it, my camp was in a fantastic spot, and changing sessions moved it somewhere more inaccessible. I had thought that maybe something had been done to thwart them somewhat...yeah, stupid thought I know, but they're right on top of solo session methods. Carlin_Stanhope Posted June 28, 2020 Share Posted June 28, 2020 Hopped on early this morning to try to tackle some dailys. One, get 3 pistol kills in a showdown. Sounds simple enough. Tried quick joining some takeover series/ shoot out series, but alll were fixed weapon ones. Some could only use what's available. Finally get into one where I can bring my pistols in. Switched ammo to high velocity before killing commences. Doesn't go well. Was hitting people, but their health wouldn't go down at all. Got fed up and went the cheap route. Switched to explosive ammo. Found one of the other team that was ripping people up. Point blank range, 8-9 rounds to the dome. He laughed at that sh*t. So said f*ck that daily and just started throwing dynamite into bodies of water to get the multiple Kills hunting award maxed out. Magic cards and magic potions in a cowboy game? Turns out he's the thrill seeker wanting me to take yet another picture of him. "Well, Mr. Thrill seeker I just got this new camera and will take the best shot of you and the landscape that you have ever seen" I think to myself as I ready the camera for the most epic shot. And he starts walking away. Turns out another player shows up and takes my glory from me.
