I love having pets follow me around in games. Like with Fallout 4 I have the dog mod so I have different breeds to follow me depending on what I am doing when I go out and explore, and I won't even go into the types of creatures I have following me around in Skyrim. I had to let my Hag Raven companion Miley go though, those things just keep making obnoxious noises that are so irritating.

 

As for RDR, why couldn't we take our dogs out to hunt the legendary animals? They could help with tracking and as a great distraction when needed. 

i too seem to be grizzlie bait, last week when i tried to help a random npc who was hog tied (before the lobby fix), the grizzlie ran past the npc and mauled me (i died).

when i respawned and went back to where i died, the random npc was fine (i was so tempted to pull out my pump action blow away the npc) but i let him live.

and last night i encountered another grizzlie who came after me while i was on horse back, i used my varmint rifle on it with the ammo you can get from herriet.

and i put it to sleep and took samples of it (and let it live).

just an hour ago or so a single sonoran pronghorn doe was standing on the roof of "the scratching post", watching me dig up some jewelry. It just stood there alone on the roof, in the foggy dark. lightning struck aswell and the scenery became kind of scary. that thing made no sound, just bobbed its head left and right a few times. wtf!?

I've had two WTF moments today in separate sessions, both due to people with mod consoles, I'm sure.

 

This morning soon after logging on, I was just standing next to my camp when all of the sudden, a gatling gun-equipped wagon spawned underneath me. I couldn't interact with it and I hopped sessions, hoping for no modders so I could sell moonshine in peace.

 

Just a little bit ago, I was standing idle in my camp when this goofy-looking gigantic guy twice the size of a normal character spawned on top of me. His name was "Wetpussy". He started waving at me and following me around my camp so I finally acknowledged him in voice chat, "Yeah, hi, I see you, dude. You doing some hacks?". He didn't say anything but sat down in front of me and started to play "Oh My Darling Clementine" on an acoustic guitar. Then he pissed in my campfire and when he was done with that, he played a song on a trumpet. Then he smoked a cigarette for awhile. (It's too bad playing legit we just take one puff then toss it away, what a waste.) Then he spawned a hot air balloon. I got in and he took me high up into the sky. It was actually pretty neat.

 

Except now the dude is following me. I logged for a few minutes to grab dinner. I logged back in, and the dude is in my camp again, playing the guitar except now his name is "Askmeboutmyweiner". Ugh. I mean, he hasn't tried to hurt me. Yet. But still. Creepy. I don't even know what to do.

Definitely report him via social club if he's following you, that could be very bad sh*te.

Just search for his account and the option to report is there.

 

And it's too bad we can't legit buy and play instruments.

You gotta be careful with players like that. I am super vigilant when I play with my daughter, she has a very feminine name and there have been times when I've had to come in and play brute against players who were being inappropriate. Since my ID is very masculine I think I get away from the real creeps, which is why I chose that tag. Lol, they think I'm her boyfriend or something.

If only they knew that "dude" they were fighting with was a momma bear they would probably get a complex.

I play a female character in both GTAO and RDO and my screen name is pretty gender neutral; in GTAO I would get unsolicited f*ckboi txts fairly often while in RDO I've posse'd up with people on the regular for days before they realized Bernadette is a woman so I can only assume the average passing interaction with a rando doesn't register for those who're prone to creeper behaviour... I guess my clothes aren't especially feminine but I use vocal emotes all the time which I figure should be a dead giveaway, but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯  I'm not complaining.

He's dropped in on me a few times tonight. Sometimes his character looks different but it's always the same level, and always with a different (obscene) name. He hasn't actually done anything to mess with my gameplay. Not sure how to report him if he becomes nefarious but my husband works in IT and has some ideas if the guy starts causing trouble.

 

It doesn't help that I currently have a bit of a silly/obscene ID: LadyTessTickles. It's very immature, I know. I had a shortened version of "Menstrual Deranged" for a long time but didn't like the way it looked, so I switched names with one of my horses because I thought it was hilarious. Didn't really think it through at the time. The dude probably thinks we're being silly together. Probably a younger dude who thinks I'm young and then of course I had to speak in voice chat and I do sound younger than my age. Maybe if I tell him I'm 42 he'd leave me alone (it's worked for me before).

If you go to the shop you can buy a free Emote to smoke a Cigarette or Cigar. If you hold the Emote you can smoke for as long as you want, it also removes one from your inventory and you get the Dead Eye benefits as well.

No but I do want to know why NPC's can take an Express/High Velocity Round to the chest, get knocked flat on their back and then jump up and keep running around like nothing happened.

As I've been told, fires in player camps were deliberately deactivated so as to prevent abuse by other players.

Today I had to do a quick trader sale and rushed back to camp to donate the last 5 carcasses of 20, since I ran out of room for materials before the sale.

Upon nearing my shine shack I realize that my camp is not in the same location that I left from.....

When I get to the camp I still have a few minutes left out of the 10 to donate, but there is another player's camp symbol on the map right beside mine.

Then I find that I can't access any of my camp except for my dog because of the other camp laid out on top of mine and all the props belong to the other camp.

So now I have to start the 20 carcasses in 10 minutes AGAIN because of this stupid new glitch.

Another fine job R*.     I'm sooo glad they test this game and fix the things that need it...

After a long time, suddenly the "strange man" was sitting at my campfire, begging for stringy meat again.
Hasn't seen this felloow for a year now...

Last week i rescued the gator woman again. I really like saving that woman.
That rescue produced the aggressive gator that sometimes arrives after shooting the 5 regular gators.
That gator will follow after me and this time i led it towards Harriet near Lagras.

The gator followed me and when near Harriet he approached her tent and tried to enter from the front and side.
After attempting the side the gator went to the rear where somehow it got inside Harriet's tent.
That gator was in the tent between the rear wall and a seated Harriet.
The gator was alive but did not move other than a very slight wiggle.

It was wtf, but disappointed that Harriet did not comment about the gator.
Seriously disappointed not to see that gator snatch Harriet and go into a death roll.

Lately he's been showing up for me every few days, but he won't take any meat (can't be interacted with at all in fact) and I can't access half the stuff in my camp because his presence counts as "active content." Even if I kill him or scare him off, it seems the only way around it is to switch sessions.

Yesterday a posse started a shootout in Valentine and the Lawmans came after them, not my problem, but one of those lawman were so fast that he had hit me and my horse, i fell and got wanted, the lawmans which were behind him made me a history or a swiss cheese. (In this situation, usually the lawman after hiting me they usually get up get after the other player but i don't know why they came after me, i was pretty much WTF for 2 mins after that).

 

I was hunting the pelicans for the daily challenge in Quaker's Cove and saw a posse in FR which were also hunting and they did trigger the spawn of the Iguga Cougar, 3 fellas, all low level armed with single cattleman and carbine repeaters and they were mow down like 3 times each, since i was in defensive, i got close used my rifle and made some shoots on the cougar and killed him, the fellas were so lost ran away from the area and i had to sent a message to the leader to say i was helping them. (The situation was not a full WTF situation, but those guys stood so close to the other all the time and like a good team, they went together). Also .... i think they didn't had enough money on them since they were in level 09-13 and the catalog have some good options as guns for the level.
