Up2NoGood45
I’m hoping against hope we can grind the money we need to be successful and get what we need in GTA 6 but the way things are going I have my doubts.
MrBreak16
Shark cards were for gta online, so i am sure they will not be in the story mode kobeni, Eternal Moonshine, CarltonDanks69 and 1 other
SanDefendor
I believe the game is set up to where we have to buy shark cards to get what we want and need in the game if we're not exceptional player's. I realized this while looking at the ridiculous prices of everything ingame. It's a monetary set up if you ask me. Right now, Rockstar refuses to give me the 2 Shark Card's I purchased 6 day's ago; they say they can't find the purchase's in my account. Pissed among other emotion's. Eternal Moonshine
Quote Do you think it will be possible to progress in GTA 6 without shark cards it would be the beginning of the end of this franchise
MojoGamer
No, RDR2 required you to buy the Collector's Edition so you could win in RDR2 horse races. RDR2 story didn't let you do bank heists with the Special edition. Pain Killers wont liking be available in-game without mircotransactions and ammo refills in option menu wont be possible with in-game money anymore. All the friend special from GTA 4 will cost mircotransactions too. Edited February 12, 2020 by MojoGamer
universetwisters
It’d be great but unlikely. It’s not like rockstar is gonna willingly stop printing money for themselves unless the government cracks down on what is literally pay-to-win sh*t
PUTKA
I hope they introduce shark cards for story mode too. In Online they should lock the best stuff behind a paywall. It will make the game a lot more true to real life. It makes me angry seeing everyone driving the same car as me and having the same property that I do while irl I drive better cars than most people and live in expensive houses. I'd also like to see businesses locked behind a paywall and the option to choose what my employees get per job done.
Len Lfc
For GTA 6? Yes For GTA Online? Yes, but actually no. Reminder, GTA V & GTA Online are considered separate things. So will be the case for GTA VI. The Grand Theft Auto VI Leak Archive GTA VI Timeline of Events

I don't play GTAO, but I have friends that do. A lot. As with ALL of the better Freemium games, you can get everything you want in GTAO, at least according to my friends, by simply playing the game. Yes, you have to grind a good deal to really get a lot of money and purchase all the in-game widgets you might want. But to say that one has to buy Shark Cards to progress your acquisitions and purchases is not true. Shark Cards, like all Freemium IAP/microtransactions, are targeted toward people who have to have what they want faster than the game will dole it out with grinding toward your objective. DarkRula
Yeah, Shark Cards for story mode content would go down reeeal well with people who are already going to be paying for the full game at full retail price. As has been said by others, you can progress in GTA5's Online perfectly fine without needing to buy a single Card. With GTA6's Online, things might be slow at first depending on what is within it, but in time there'll be ways to get millions within hours once new stuff is added.
