Spadge 2,736
Hello modders, I was planning to install a mod menu in single-player to remove some weapons which have been cluttering my weapon wheel, because to my knowledge, there is no way of getting rid of a weapon permanently without the help of mods. That would require me to save however, and I'm unsure if that might corrupt the integrity of the savefile. I did use mods on GTA V back then to delete weapons from my inventory and didn't encounter any issues, even after saving, but since RDR2 might be a whole different animal, I'd rather inquire before I do anything that could mess with my game, and since it's my first time modding RDR and I don't know much, I would need the help of some more knowledgeble people on this here forum. I've checked Alex Blade's forum post, and heard people had issues with mission icons disappearing, this being caused by simply having the native trainer installed (not necessarily tied to saving), so at the moment I'm hesitant as you can understand. I hope you guys have the answer to my inquiry and could oblige by posting it in this here thread. Thanks very much, Spadge. PS: I'm also interested to fly in the hot air balloon which was featured in one of the story missions, is there a trainer which offers this possibility?
Psychotic Bison 22
AB's scripthook and trainer is safe as long as your don't mess with the player model. I have been running it for ages (to keep the honor up and for Longer Days mod) and no issues so far. AB fixed the disappearing mission icon problem in the most recent release. If you are going to be messing with the player model though remember not to save and turn off autosave.

I love spending nights in the swamp and see what's going on there, but I always regret the fact that nights pass too quickly, with that it seems more interesting. But couldn't that mess with the appearance of dynamic/random events?
Psychotic Bison 22
Not to my knowledge. I certainly haven't had any issues with those.
UpTheDowngrade 212
I didn't know you couldn't mess with the player model if you want to save. I bet that is what caused the bounty missions disappearing everytime I got close to them, and other hitches i've never encountered before. I went back to an older save, before I even had scripthook, and things are back to normal. Edited January 16, 2020 by UpTheDowngrade
