Casino Heist The Big Con Top Tips and Guide - Elite Challenge and Most Money

Having been grinding these heists since they come out I've since completed all Elite Challenges and worked out the best ways to complete them all so far. Below is my guide and Top Tips for The Big Con.

 

Elite Challenge

 

First of all, when you do your scoping out of the vault contents, make sure it is Artwork. Having artwork is much quicker to bag, and will also make you able to run at full speed. You are unable to do this with Cash or Gold. If you do not get Artwork, simply quit the scoping out job from your phone and try again until you do.

Heist Crew

Gunman - Abolaji
Driver - Karim Denz
Hacker - Paige Harris - Gives you plenty of time to collect everything you need and means you only have to hack one fingerprint for each vault cage door (unless on Hard mode, then it's 2 hacks per gate)

 

Preps

Mandatory:

Unmarked Weapons - SMG Loadout - Guns are not important here
Getaway Vehicles - Sentinel Classic. Denz also has good locations for the getaway cars spawning.

Hacking Device

Gruppe Sechs 1
Gruppe Sechs 2

 

General Prep Work:

Vault Keycards - to save hacking each lock

Patrol Routes - so you can see where everyone is
 

Security Pass:
Level 1 & 2

 

Planning:

Disguise  - Gruppe Sechs
Entrance - Security Tunnel
Exit - Staff Lobby

Exit Disguise - High Roller (you can only get this if you've collected all 52 cards from the Casino DLC. If you've not done this then do the NOOSE or Firefighter Prep).
Buyer: Any

DO NOT WASTE MONEY on Clean Car and Decoy.

 

Tactics:

This is by far the easiest heist to complete. After a while you should be able to get the Elite Challenge to High Buyer every single time.

 

- All yo have to do is walk (or jump when the game allows you) to the vault then raid it.

- After you've raided the vault, jump all the way out and head up the stairs. 

- Watch for the first guard who usually patrols around the elevator and stairs. Once he's out of your way head right and wait for the next guard to walk past the door heading right. Creep up behind and knock him out. Head towards the laundry area and change into your disguise.
- Once disguised you can simply run out through the Staff Lobby exit without any problems.

- Change camera to first person. This will make you run faster.

- When outside, jump over the fence in front, and run as fast as you can to the corner of the racetrack to your right where your getaway vehicles will be. Again, change to first person camera to run faster.

- The next part relies on RnG. Sometimes your cars will be closer than others. Just get in whatever car comes to you first, be it a car off the street or your own.

If you selected the High Buyer then head towards the Mesa Police Station and climb the building to get in the helicopter. If you didn't, then just drive to your checkpoint and lose the cops around that area. Going deep into the sewers will generally just lose you time.

 

Timing:

The Elite Challenge timer starts when you get the small cutscene to enter the casino after swiping your keycards (then 35 seconds of black loading screen).

02:30 - Vault cutscene

06:20 - Swiped keypads to exit the vault
08:50 - Exit casino

15:00 - Complete

 

Below is a video of my 2-player team completing this with maximum payout and delivering to the High Buyer.

 

Big Money Guide

 

Gold, Gold, Gold, Gold, Gold. Scope out Gold as the vault contents. Hard Mode.

 

Heist Crew

Gunman - Aboloji
Driver - Karim Denz

Tactics:

- I recommend only having a  2-player team. This will maximise your payout. You're looking at around $1.3m for each player this way.

- Complete this on hard mode (when it has the skull on it) for a collective gain of $200k. If you can complete this in 15 mins for the Elite Challenge you'll also get another $100k bonus each.

- Choose High Buyer in heist setup.

- Same as Elite Challenge

- You can raid the smaller vault in the room upstairs but the guards are difficult to take out together.

 

As a team of two, we've pocketed $1.3m each doing it this way.

From my experience, when you go outside the casino, the firefighter and noose outfits are better than high roller. But while you are inside they behave all the same

If you follow the guide then neither disguise makes a difference as you'll not encounter any NOOSE or police until you're in a vehicle and driving. However, I believe that the Firefighters get ignored a little more than the others, just don't get too close.

Regarding the High Roller exit, when you change your disguise to that in the laundry room, do you still have to sneak by the guards/unable to go through metal detectors? In case the High Roller exit is not that worse off, it checks off a prep mission which is always nice.

High Roller acts exactly the same as the others. You can run around with your guns out and nobody cares. Just don't bump into any guards -  they don't like it.

 

Regardless of your disguise, even if you didn't get one, going through the metal detectors seems to make no difference.

Excellent. Sourcing those noose outfits was a bit of a hassle at times (firefighter less so, though) and not having to do anything is even better. Already have the cards. Always nice to be able to skip some preps.

 

EDIT: One time the High Roller outfits didn't spawn int he laundry room. Was this a glitch or do they have a chance to spawn elsewhere? I couldn't find them on the map.

I have the high roller outfit. It’s not showing as an option for exit disguise? Is there a requirement to unlock it as a disguise?

It won't show up as an exit disguise until you started the heist and are at the screen with the crew cuts.

You need to collect all 52 cards from the Casino DLC first, then select it as an exit disguise in the setup menu.

They are there but sometimes the game doesn't have them show up. It's good practice to memorise where they are. I've had it where others have been able to see them on the map but not me. Just another one of the countless bugs in these heists.

Since figuring out the heli spawns at the police station i just dont even bother with the cars anymore, i get the most crappy/cheap ones i can get and then just run straight across the highway on foot, theres hardly any traffic anyway.

I dont have any high roller outfit option either btw, and i have the cards suit you get for the 52 cards, better yet i have all different colored versions of it too. (plus i also have bscly any other rare outfit in the game besides cop & swat) so could you elaborate on this a bit? what platform do you play on? did the crew members also have the cards suit unlocked? any other things you can think of why you have this option but we dont?

I get the cheapest Getaway 'driver' (5%) on all the heists as I only ever use them when I have to, and that's just to drive to the helicopter.

I don;t know why you don't have the High Roller outfit option. As far as I knew it was just an option once you had unlocked it. The only person who needs the outfit should be the leader of the heist.

Have you started the heist? The option to use High Roller outfit as an exit disguise won't show up until you're at the heist screen where you also set the crew cuts.

Ah, I see. I'll keep that in mind in the future.

 

It still baffles me how dressing up as a High Roller works as a disguise. What, the texan guards are like "Aw yeah, it's completely fine with a high roller strutting around in the staff room".

 

Or is there a second meaning to High Roller as in an employed player who wins rigged games to get regular visitors to hop in on the "hot table"?

It's just another Rockstar Logic

You can even run around with your gun out, because that's totally normal in a high security casino.

I haven't touched GTA since the 1st Casino Update.  Is the enemy A.I, when in a gunfight, like Doomsday Terminators, or more on par like in the OG Heists?

In the casino itself it's fine, but some Prep enemies are like The Terminator.

Rich people can commit murder and get away with it, so I don't see a high roller running around in a casino staff room as unrealistic.

If you haven't done the Duggan Shipments prep then the guards will be super tough.

Well, yeah it does. The game just doesn't show that you have the option to use the Higher Roller exit disguise until you start the heist and get to the final screen with the player cuts.

No.

When you're in the setup menu where you actually change the entrance, exit, etc, change the Exit Disguise to High Roller. You'll only have this option if you have collected all 52 playing cards and received the outfit. This way you won't need to do the exit disguise preps.

There's a way for two players to both get 85% in the payouts. You could earn up to $2.4m each for each heist.

Exit the casino, and call Lester to cancel the heist when you're far away enough for the prep to be over. Costs 25K every time and you need to have done all approaches at least once.

 

I'd say it's worth it, but I have quite a lot of money to toss away and I seldom need more than 2 scopings.

As above, but if you do quit the session you'll just have the same contents in the vault each time, so you must call Lester to cancel the Diamond Casino Heist. Usually, I've got gold within the first 3 or 4 attempts, however, I have had it where It's been around 11 attempts, and a friend of mine has spent $300k in one go trying to get gold again.

Alternative escape route - get in a car, head for the sewer entrance, (edit: go south in the waterway thing past the next bridge, then turn left to get to the train tunnel) go in to the train tunnel on the other side of the waterway thing, lose the wanted stars in here, drive to the buyer via the train tracks and later, roads. No need to swap cars and you won't get stars again.

 

If using a rear exit of the casino (waste disposal or staff entrance) we've found that if you get on the track and head south to the hedge you don't get shot, in fact we've very nearly lost the wanted stars by just standing there, sometimes the getaway cars are just down a little ramp at the end of the hedge, but if not you can jump the fence and get to the road to grab a car, this is right by the train tunnel mentioned above.

 

If you choose to drive off the track, when exiting the track in to the car park there is a big sloped wall to your right, send the car up this, it'll jump pretty much right on to the highway and avoid a bunch of cops. Quite useful if doing the aggressive approach. From here you can go to the train tunnel or the highway tunnel near maze bank, lose the stars and off you go. We've found if you go near the casino you get stars again, so often go up the west coast to get to the buyer. Could also cut through vinewood hills, past stab city and through the tunnel to the sawmill.

I got a question for yeah 

How do u get the secondary entry disguise outfit box unlocked? 

I did a hiest with this guys and  that option was there. 

Went in as maintenance changed in the High Roller disguise in laundry room went down to the vault came back up alarm went off changed into noose disguise then walked out the casino

We take 5% hacker, do 50% each, usually get all paintings/ do gold glitch for 4 trays and get out with minimim 1m each everytime.

 

Your 1.3m each how did you get it? Gold/art?

First off: Very good explanation and very good video!

 

Just few mentions:

Do you receive the elite reward 100k? Me and my partner never get it so we actually don't care about it

Never cancel art or gold, no matter if easy or elite challenge. So for both your challenges (Elite/Most Money) Art and Gold are fine. Cancelling the heist costs Money and Time.

Art/Gold is the way to go.

 

My partner and keep doing hard mode (Silent/Big Con/Silent/Big Con) and art/gold with 5% hacker (we use the gold glitch tho). It is a bit more challenging because you need some good tactics but it works out pretty well.
