Tut98
I'll try making a guide convering maps in general, but for the meantime keeping your interest, ive a short tip. Prerequisites: 3ds Max, access to game files (txd, dff) Get on prineside dev website (gta sa site) and use object search by position function. Pinpoint mt chiliad on the map making sure you have the radius covering approximately the mountain, now open every page in new tab that contains a mountain model. On the bottom of their page you can get full screen/map positions in x,y,z. Now find all the dff models from the pages and extract them into a project folder. On their page contains which txd is used, you need to extract thise TXD's contents (as png or tga) into the same project folder. Else you won't get textures. Now in 3ds Max set your user path to your project folder where you have the textures. Google it if you don't know how. Now import all of your dff's into your 3ds max project scene and then with the positions from the page in hand, paste those into 3ds max. 3ds max uses commas, not dote, as decimals. You need to correct thst yourself. As I said I'll be making a guide on all this crap and have a way better method for it. Currently making a guide for animations so gotta wait a bit.
