In the ideal world of GTA the penetrator had the v12 ocelot has promised and customers were really happy

Because in real life, the xj220 represented the highest technical achievement jaguar could muster. Carbon fiber body panels, scissor doors, an AWD system, run flat 200 mile an hour tires, and advanced wind tunnel body sculpting. So this idea of them stuffing an ancient v12 with top mounted, damn well near American style Holly's is laughable at best.

I mean from what i know jaguar used the v6 in the xj220 to cut costs and emission regulations, and the v12 they would put in the car originally had a similar design to the one we had in the game. I would say the penetrator is the concept version not the production one.

Thing is, that engine is still fuel injected, it just has intake pipes. I haven't looked at the penetrator in awhile but I'm pretty sure that low res engine has straight up carburators. Either way, I still think the penetrator should've been based off the production xj because it would've been more different than the other AWD v12 piwerred supercars that we already have in game.

The Lampadati Novak.

latest?cb=20190723230516

First things first, I'll reduce the length & height of the Novak 15%, but make it 5% wider.

The front end.

I'll replace the Ford Mustang headlights & the grille with the ones from the Lampadati Felon.

latest?cb=20180331162740

The side profile.

I'll replace the side vent & wheels with ones from the Lampadati Felon.

latest?cb=20180331162741

The rear end.

I'll get rid of the god awful Ford taillights and replace them with the Felon's ones as well.

latest?cb=20180331162740

The interior.

The colorable Benefactor Schafter V12 interior.

Misc..

1) fix the damn brake calipers.

2) give it a panoramic roof.

The Novak could've been much better, if only R* paid a bit more attention to exterior like they did the engine. what a waste.

Pegassi Toros.

latest?cb=20181214174204

- For starters, I'll reduce the overall size of the Toros by 5%

- I'll reduce the diameter of the wheels/tires by 15% & make the front wheels 5% narrower.

- I'll remove remove the silver trim in side and rear.

- I'll make the truck open.

- I'll add a giant panoramic roof, like the one in the Übermacht Rebla GTS.

- I'll replace the FMJ with a proper colorable Nero interior. I know I know, I use the Nero interior all the time, but if any car deserves it, its the Toros.

Canis Seminole

latest?cb=20160211192105

* Dont know if the Pillar B was added, if not, i would add it.

* I would put the option to add the Everon´s tires on it.

* Add mostly all of the offroad options that are in the game, like the ones of the Comet Safari, the Kamacho, Brawler

If were possible take the Seminole to the image below, surely I would have more than one.

Not necessarily updating the design, but I'd make the Bobcat four wheel drive like the badge on its fender says. Such a let down when you only see the rear tires spin.

Actually, all planes and jets from Smugglers Run should have Barrage Missiles.

For example, the aforementioned P-45 Nokota has M10 rocket pods:

latest?cb=20190625104232

The Molotok has UB-32 rocket pods:

latest?cb=20190625183531

And the Rogue uses Hydra 70 rocket pods, just like the FH-1 Hunter, B-11 Strikeforce and the Savage of all things :

latest?cb=20190626200410

While I'm not sure of what rocket systems both the Starling and Pyrp use, it's quite obvious that those aren't missiles with homing missiles that they're carrying around:

latest?cb=20190705195111

latest?cb=20190626104437

Not only it would be more realistic for these planes to carry Barrage Missiles instead of Homing ones, it also would make them more useful and versatile for both PvE and PvP too.

While I really appreciate Coquette Classic's "concept Corvette" -like looks, those squarish headlights are a bit too much.

Here's my take on the Albany Alpha.

I actually think that with a bit of tweaking to keep it modern and updated, and a slight boost in performance, the Alpha might just be a lot more popular.

In the Ugliest Cars in GTA5/O thread, I specifically mentioned the Alpha as, yes, ugly.

and thank God for the V-STR

but with these changes, the Alpha can be a lot better.

Here is the Alpha in its current form. It is based on the lovely Cadillac Elmiraj Concept, but the execution is very poor.

Image result for albany alpha

And here are my changes:

1. Swap the headlights for the ones in the V-STR, make them a bit thicker so that it's still a bit original. Give it some cues from the Police Stinger headlights as well. Oh, and make them higher-quality.

Image result for albany vstr front

Image result for albany police stinger

2. Give it the Police Stinger's grille (up there), but make it darker and rounder, and put the emblem in a circle just like in the V-STR. Give it the new Albany badge too.

3. Swap the stock wheels for the ones used on the Enus Windsor.

Image result for enus windsor wheels

4. Swap the ugly side vents for the ones on the Revolter. (but move them a bit closer to the front fender)

latest?cb=20190127155622

5. Give it the Revolter's rear end, but mix them with the V-STR's tailights, although slightly tweaked a bit.

latest?cb=20190127155515

latest?cb=20191214103057

6. And since this is a luxurious concept-ish coupe, let's give it the Raiden's interior. Remove the back seats, of course.

latest?cb=20180627103034

7. Move it to the Coupes class. Seriously, that class is so neglected.

And that's it, basically. The Alpha still has potential to be cool, or at least more well-rounded, with these tweaks.

Pegassi Osiris.

R* did an excellent job mimicking the Huayra, but being a last-gen model it shows it age pretty quickly when parked next to the Nero or GP1 & it deserves some TLC.

latest?cb=20190814130944

First things first, I'll move the Osiris to a new brand called Panerai.

Then, I'll create 3 models from it. The Osiris, Osiris Roadster & Osiris Proto. All 3 will share most of the body, the interior and engine, but each one will have unique touches to set it apart.

Shared elements across all 3 cars:

- I'll disable the illuminated badge.

- The front bumper, sideskirts, rear bumper & mirrors will be in primary color by default, but can be switched to secondary or carbon fiber like the Bravado Gauntlet Hellfire.

- The canopy will be secondary paint by default, but can be switched to primary or carbon fiber like the Progen Emerus.

- They'll have the X80's active aero flaps, but positioned up top like the real Huayra.

pagani-huayra-15_0.jpg?itok=iV_3C9B7

- They'll have the Lampadati Viseris engine, but the engine block will be 25% longer to accommodate 4 more ITBs like the Bravado Verlierer.

I know the Huayra's engine doesn't look like this at all, but nothing in the game comes close to that masterpiece, so might as well go Hot Wheels.

AvnNqmz.jpg

latest?cb=20180422095800

The valve covers will be carbon fiber, the engine block will be gold and the headers will remain chrome.

latest?cb=20180527103500

The crossbars and the radiators from the original Osiris engine bay will remain, but remodeled to fit the quality of the engine.

- They'll have the colorable Dewbauchee Specter Custom interior.

latest?cb=20170309191615

- All 3 will share the liveries.

- I'll swap the locations of the license plate and the exhaust, and give it standard size plates instead of the small one.

latest?cb=20180527103459

- I'll remove the towhook from the custom splitters and reduce the size of the sideskirt's fin by 80%.

Model specific elements:

Osiris.

- It'll have a glass roof like the real Huayra.

2012_pagani_huayra_34_1024x768.jpg

- It'll have the colorable version of the Dewbauchee Specter stock wheels.

latest?cb=20170309191624

- It'll have the Progen Emerus roof scoop as a LSC option to mimick the Huayra Pearl.

latest?cb=20190724213139

pagani-huayra-pearl-c689817072016214530_

(I couldn't find a close up shot of the Zonda scoop, this will have to do.)

- It'll have the Grotti Visione exhaust tips & F1 brake light.

latest?cb=20190331065826

Osiris Roadster.

- It'll have traditional doors since there's no roof.

- I'll redesign the rear section of the canopy to look more like the Huayra Roadster.

pagani-huayra-roadster-c6565010920172339

- It'll have the Benefactor Schlagen GT stock wheels.

- It'll have the Grotti Visione exhaust tips & F1 brake light.

latest?cb=20190331065826

Osiris Proto

- It'll have traditional doors so the roof can accommodate the large Zonda R inspired scoop ... Taken from the Benefactor Krieger.

- It'll have the Benefactor Krieger front bumper (minus the badge), S-duct hood vent and mirrors.

latest?cb=20190724222046

- It'll have the Grotti Visione splitter.

latest?cb=20190331070041

- It'll have the Grotti Visione wheels and tires.

latest?cb=20190331070043

- It'll have the Truffade Nero Custom rear diffuser and F1 brake light.

latest?cb=20170108141432

- It'll have the Ocelot XA-21 exhaust tip.

latest?cb=20170625153431

Phew, that was mouthful.

^^ Beautiful work..

We'll need a Zonda added to this "Panerai" brand aswell👊

How did you come up with that name @IceDree? (Luxury watch)?

I like the thought of a mixture of Horacio and Pagani for the brand name, so... Horani.. or .. Pagacio. (The second one is much better). Or even Pagaccio..

And a cheeky name for the Zonda could be the.. Zonads.

@Scottiedog123 thank you! 😁

I named it after Panerai, the Italian watch brand (Jason Statham's favorite brand, he wore it in the transporter). 😎

I tried mixing the names, but I didn't like any of the combinations. Then I started thinking about Mayan gods (like the Huayra) & then Roman gods, but none of them felt right.

I eventually picked Fangio, but it felt too forced, so I moved to Cesario when I got desperate, as in San Cesario sul Panaro. The town Pagani is based in. But Panaro felt more Italian than Cesario.

After I kept repeating the name for a week and not feeling it, it dawned on me that its close to Panerai! Its an Italian name and somewhat close to Pagani ... And that was it lol. 🤪

I had the Osiris trio's concept in mind for a month or so, but picking up name for the brand is what kept me from posting it.

I completely agree. 👊

We need a Zonda pronto, preferably with enough parts to build a Cinque, a 760, an R or simply keep it an F.

If they deliver such a thing, I would buy a bunch of them.

Ah, the Dewbauchee Exemplar. There are so many things wrong with the Dewbauchee brand these days... (rant-alert) :rol:

exemplar.jpg

The Dewbauchee brand debuted in GTA IV, of course, with the Super GT. A great car, it looked great for the most part, it drove great, it sounded decent. As a knock-off DB9 from a company that knew how to parody everything in great detail, it was everything what you'd expect... so what the hell happened here?

The Exemplar is based on what is possibly one of the most bespoke looking, coupe-like sedans this of century; the Aston Martin Rapide (S).

2018-AstonMartin-RapideS-1.jpg

It is basically a stretched DB9 with several unique design characteristics and two more doors with, you guessed it, two more seats. It's what happens when you've got a rich clientele who want the most ridiculous cars you can dream of and Aston Martin did it quite well.

In theory, Rockstar should've taken a GTA IV Super GT, given it four doors, changed it up a bit and called it a day:

2c0410-271590_2015-08-20_00007s2.jpg

But instead they used a Rapid GT. Now... that isn't really a bad thing. I would've preferred a four-door Super GT as that would've easily looked classier and bigger but they did make the overall shape of the Exemplar very good. They made it work. Besides, a four-door Vantage in real life would've been cool, I'm not going to lie.

Things I'd change about the front and side of the Exemplar:

  • I'd give it a proper grill. More like the Super GT's but kind of in the shape of the Exemplar's. I would also make the design curve up a bit as that is what makes it look more Aston-like.
  • I'd add a carbon fiber front splitter option.
  • I'd make the hood vents more detailed and aluminum.
  • I'd make the side profile just a tad bit longer.
  • I'd give it better stock wheels.

Overall, I think the front and side are what makes the Exemplar. It is a very good design by itself, but could be better.

Now let's get onto the things that are not so great, as that is pretty much what the rest of this car is. Abysmal.

b057a78257fc647567ffa49a79e9e2da.jpg

Aston Martin changed their design language in the early 00's with the DB9. And with it came probably one of the most gorgeous interiors of its time. It's so good, in fact, that it still looked timeless into the last of its production cars in 2015-2016 with barely any changes. The Rapide emphasized on quality and design with the addition of 2 more seats. I mean just look at it. It's like sitting in a private jet or a modern house made of fine woods, furnished with only the finest aniline leathers.

So naturally, you would expect the Exemplar to deliver something at least to half that level. I mean, you have multiple cars in this game with real-life inspired interiors, most of them impeccably done for a game of this type.

But instead... we got this:

latest?cb=20180331162038

An ugly, dreary, basic, uninspiring, forgettable, lazy cut-and-paste interior straight out of an Obey 9F. This interior has ruined just about every single good Aston-based car in this game that it has been hastily slapped into. The Rapid GT, the Rapid GT convertible, this car [the Exemplar], the Massacro, the Seven-70. It is so diabolically ugly and unfitting and so un-Aston-like that it literally ruins all of them for me as the interior is a big part of what makes an Aston an Aston (and what should make a Dewbauchee and Dewbauchee). I mean... who looks at an Aston-based car, then looks at the 9F's interior (which quite frankly doesn't even fit an R8 either, it looks like an early 00's Audi A3 interior, which was one of the cheapest, crappiest Audis (which was basically a badge-engineered VW Golf) that you could buy then, hardly a symbol of the brand's quality) and thinks 🤔 "hmm, perfect fit!" ???

Especially when all they had to do was take the interior out of a Super GT from GTA IV, make it high-poly (just like they did with all of those other GTA IV car interiors) and slap it in? I mean look at it:

Dewbauchee%20Super%20GT%20GTA%20IV%206.j

Now that looks more like the private jet, high-end living room cabin pictured above doesn't it? At least somewhat right? Now imagine it in high-poly.

That alone would turn what's essentially a 5/10 car into a 7 or 8 at the least! A 9 if it was also colorable. (Rant incoming) People, especially non-car people (which I feel Rockstar for some reason, god forbid, has employed deep into their car department) just don't understand how big of a role a car's interior plays in its design, its price, its- everything. And this is a game that went on to have first person view. So it matters even more, even though it certainly mattered back then as well. I mean... the thing that really gets me though is, it would not have been a hard thing to do at the slightest. In fact, the Rapid GT convertible on last-gen consoles did have the old Super GT's interior. I have no idea why. The coupe and the Exemplar had that dreary Audi crap above. But the convertible had the proper interior, so someone was at least thinking straight when they made it. But not even that convinced them when they updated the vehicles for current-gen platforms because they simply went on and replaced the Rapid GT convertible's proper interior with the Obey 9F's too. It is bonkers how they let that happen. Who is/was working on these cars??

Things I'd change about the interior of the Exemplar:

  • I'd give it a high-poly version of GTA IV's Super GT interior, with the addition of two sport seats in the back.
  • I'd make it colorable.
  • That's it, it really was that simple...

dfeb6d9154a947e924700c413703245b.png

I can't say the rear is terrible. But I can say that they didn't even try. I have no idea what those exhausts beneath that unnecessarily bulky rear bumper are doing, but they sure look like an afterthought. The red and orange taillights look terrible and are straight up copy-and-pastes from the Rapid GT. And if this car were real, you would not be able to fit anything into that trunk. It is so short and out or proportion it makes the car look stupid. And did I mention that ugly ass bumper? If you're going to cut-and-paste most of the Rapid GT, why not include its rear bumper too? Why go out of your way to make one that looks uglier?

Look at the Rapide's rear bumper. It is almost exactly like the pre-facelift DB9's. They did not make it ugly just because it's a sedan:

2016_Aston_Martin_Rapide_S_V12_Automatic

Notice how good the proportions are. It is long enough, the rear window is low and sleek unlike the Exemplar's ugly, tall, goofy looking rear window. And look at that trunk? You could stuff a person in there. And look! :O It's also a hatch!

Things I'd change about the rear of the Exemplar:

  • I'd rip off that rear bumper, burn it, and either install a Rapid GT's or make a new one that looks like someone put some actual thought into it.
  • Those taillights would have to go. They barely work on the Rapid GT (nor the Massacro... don't even get me started). They wouldn't necessarily need to be clear but they'd need to be thinner and sleeker.
  • I'd make the trunk a hatch, flatten the rear window a bit and stretch the proportions of the rear overhang of the car by at least 1 in-game inch.

The design flaws are really what holds this car back. Because surprisingly, it really is very fun to drive, it sounds very good to listen to and it was an extremely cool concept. There are other things I'd change, but they're a lot more menial.

Other things I'd change about the Exemplar:

  • I'd make the whole car wider/fatter.
  • I'd of course make the exterior model, as a whole, more high-poly to match the quality of the most recent vehicular additions.
  • I'd change that god awful engine model underneath to a proper-looking V12.

This is one of those cars Rockstar should've waited to do until at least 2017. Then it would've likely been a much more high quality product. I really still can't believe how horribly put together/designed most vanilla cars are, that's why most of my personal cars are add-ons.

What we have here is what's essentially a throw away car. It has cheaply made good looks, does enough to wow you for like a few minutes until you realize how mediocre it is, and then you either store it in your garage and forget about it or wreck it for something else. It's sad because properly done, I'd love this car more than my Paragon R. Instead, when I see these cars in AI traffic, they're no more exciting than an FQ2. A great concept, poorly done, so bad that it is barely redeemable, even with a few really good redeeming qualities. It is a 5/10.

I feel the only way this car or concept could be saved is through PC-mods. Someone from VanillaWorks needs to get to work on it. Hell, maybe even start from scrap and use a Super GT body. May as well. 🤷‍♂️

Bump

Been a while since I posted here, so I figured I bump this thread with a vehicle that's always ground my gears: the Bobcat XL

latest?cb=20161019154520

Game developers seldom seem to get old American trucks right. There are exceptions like the Eckhart Pioneer from Mafia III and the Pygmalion Hillside from Far Cry 5, but for the most part old trucks in video games are hit or miss. The Bobat XL is definitely a miss. It looks the part at first glance, but upon further inspection you can spot the problems in its design; it looks like what someone thinks a late 70's to late 80's American pickup looks like. Don't get me wrong, it's one of the better designs I've seen. It's just there's ways to improve it to make it look more realistic and historically accurate.

First thing off the list of improvements: Get rid of those fake dually fender flares! It doesn't even have dually rear wheels! I'd smooth out the bed sides and thin out the rear wheels to the same width as the front. Now it at least looks like a normal truck, but there's still more.

Second improvement: replace the bumpers with the ones off the Rancher XL.

Declasse-Rancher-XL-GTA-5-Front-View.jpg

06288502716cd6402ed02b558450f1ee.jpg

After the new safety regulations in the 70's, bumpers on cars got THICC. The Bobcat XL's stock bumpers are too thin to be realistic and don't stick out enough from the body. The ones on the Rancher XL are a perfect though. Big and bulky chrome blocks that look ready to annihilate some poor, plastic econobox.

Third improvement: shorten that extended cab to a single cab. I've only ever seen old Fords and Dodges with extended cabs, so seeing a squarebody Chevy with an extended cab is a little odd. Plus, Rockstar didn't even bother to model in a backseat, so might as well get rid of this pointless design.

Fourth improvement: make all the visual addons modifications at LS Customs. The brush guard, side step, roof sun visor, and bed canopy. I'd also remodel the canopy too. Make the side windows on it smaller and make the canopy come standard in white.

Fifth improvement: Rebadge it from Vapid too Declasse. This was a no brainer. And I'd also replace the Bobcat letters on the tailgate to white Declasse letters. Just to make it more true to old truck designs.

Sixth improvement: get rid of a few badges, like the ones that say '4X4'. I'd make it a 4X4, but most work trucks around that time came 2wd standard from the factory, so I feel leaving the Bobcat XL as a 2wd would make it more historically accurate.. I'd also get rid of those stupid badges that say it has a V10. No manufacturer was putting V10's into vehicles for mass production at that time, especially during a fuel crisis.

Last improvement: replace the default engine sound with the one from the ambulance. Not even joking, the ambulances in this game have a gorgeous sounding V8. Don't believe me? Find one next time you're on and find out for yourself. Genuinely surprised Rockstar hasn't used this engine sound on other vehicles.

That's what I'd do to the Bobcat XL to make it more realistic and appealing to me. As I've said before on this thread, I'd love for more old American trucks. Just please do them right, Rockstar. Don't give us another hooned out monstrocity like the Yosemite and don't give us another faker like the Bobcat XL.

Here's a really simple one, give the Blade normal, non-gasser suspension. Maybe also add a gasser variant with the suspension and all the newer high textured through-the-hood engine options for a much better gasser look.

I'd totally own a stock one and a gasser, but I can't stand the low texture "bug catcher" options, so I only have one that looks as stock as possible, but still doesn't quite look right because of the raised front suspension.

You know that little line down the quarter of rear passenger door windows? That's it. Add a quarter window to every car that needs it.

It's a tiny little niggly complaint for cars in a video game, but how do you roll down the windows on cars like the Cheburek and the Reba GTS? Or the Stanier? Or the Washington? It doesn't look physically possible.

R* will do old BMWs and Volvos justice, but they dropped the ball completely with the Glendale. Redo the front end completely to make it look more like a W123 but keep the Pagoda grille. And add a quarter window just past the Hoffmeister kink.

I think the novak is right sized the way it is, abit smaller than the big suvs but not too small. The jugular is a bit longer than the real thing but the width seems right as well.

Bizon and infernus i agree 100% , super diamond indifferent, now the revolter i don't think can get any bigger without looking like some armored presidential vehicle.

Some additions to the list

Reduce size of ETR1, 7B and Savestra

"Noodles, why are you even bothering to bump this thread?"

Well, it's because I remembered another car that always bothered me:

The Albany Virgo

1000?cb=20160302174203

Don't get me wrong, it's still a nice car, but there's a few things wrong with it.

First issue, rename the darn thing. Since we have the Dundreary Virgo in game, it makes no sense to have this exist in the same universe under the same name. I've seen the name Remington thrown around as a rename suggestion since the Remington was the name of a car from GTA San Andreas. The only issue is that the original Remington was based on a Lincoln and this is a Cadillac. I do have a few original rename suggestions; Albany Empress, Albany Capitano, Albany Rosarito.

Second off, there's a lot of empty space on this car which just makes it look like an unfinished model. I'd add blinkers on those front fender flares, a chrome strip lining the lower part of the car, and add a few more badges.

Lastly, I'd add the option for a vinyl top in LS Customs. Just something to take up that empty space. And while we're on customization, why not make this into a lowrider at Benny's? I think that would definitely bring this thing back into the spotlight since the Ill Gotten Gains DLC.

The Albany Virgo is a pretty forgotten car. Living in the shadow of the more popular and more customizable Dundreary Virgo, it seems everyone has ditched this old thing. It's a shame though. It has the potential to definitely become something better.
