What does Avi actually do for you?

Before hosting my 2nd finale I destroyed the 50 signal blockers and selected Avi as the hacker, but I couldn't see any benefit to this. We still had to hack elevators and staircases. I couldn't see any difference from the previous time. So how do I make use of having him?

 

Also, how do I get the security van as an option? I scouted the entrance under the bridge, but can't see any way to make use of this entrance.

He gives you more time in the vault than any other hacker I believe, ~ 15 sec more than Paige?

Ah yes I forgot about that. The extra time is useful, but it's a pity he doesn't help out with the blue dots and the finger prints.

 

I've done this twice as host and about 3 times as a crew member and I can't work out why sometimes you can open  doors with the smartcard and sometimes a hack is required. I seems a bit random.

Because whether a door is a level 1, 2 , 3 door is randomized. Levels 1 and 2 , you can get the keys for, Level 3 doors will always require a hack because you physically cant get the card for it. The only level 4 door is the man trap down on  the vault level, which of course you always get the key for.

Can anyone confirm that you get detected with Paige as the hacker at around 0:15 left?

 

Because with Avi you don't get detected until 0:00.
