Patrick Mccready gunman glitched

I found this guy in the police van on 4 different occasions and each time I am unable to enter the van. I killed the police in the van but I am still unable to enter. Is there some other prerequisite to this that I missing? The difference between what I experience and seen on videos is the police exit the van usually for me. I never killed them while both were inside. Is that the trick to it?

What are you doing when you kill them? Maybe just kill the driver.. Or wait to hear Packies dialogue before attacking

I saw the van a day ago and the game didn't any notification or anything. I killed the drivers, but I also killed the two guys in suits. They walked out of the van from the back.

Next time follow the van from a little distance, it should ignore you (provided you didnt already had cops on you) then just wait for it to stop at a stoplight, run up, pull out the driver, other cop exits, drive away, packie tells you where to go, profit.

Finally found McReary. Called Lester to lose the cops and there were about 2 miles to go and 2 minutes left on the counter. Started driving and McReary stopped talking and the destination disappeared from the map. Awards randomly popped that I "unlocked all guys" and "found an old friend" or whatever. I climbed out of the Police Van and couldn't get back in as it was locked. Guess it unlocked? I dunno.

 

EDIT: Did unlock. Guess this event is glitchy. Just glad to not find a lobby where he (or the cops) were laying on the road dead.

I had that the first time, I suspected it might be because I panicked and opened fire immediately which resulted in the blue dot vanishing and the van being unusable.

Second time I followed  the van on the road for quite some time just chilling and then only after that I opened fire and made sure to one tap the guards accurately, and it worked fine.

Just speculation, but laying it out here.

Apparently the Packie bug has now been fixed. I can't verify it as I already have him but maybe someone else can?

Well in the last 48 real life hours, I've had the van spawn 3 times at the gun store by zancudo. Two with packie telling, once without. Both times he yelled, the van stopped, cops got out, and van couldn't be entered.those were in glitches public lobbies.

 

What just happened now was I heard a siren and saw the van drive by, gave chase, 2 cops and 2 purple in the back all climbed out and walked away. Turn around the the van is gone.this was in a regular public lobby with a dozen people in it. 

 

My buddy got it by accident last week and has seen the van spawn in several more times even in the session I'm with him in, but I haven't been able to rescue packie yet, and I'm usually on the other side of the map when it happens
