Do you leave your car open to all players? Why or why not?

I just had my Entity XXR taken by not one but two low-levels who each tried to store it in their garages while I was playing arcade games.

 

It's funny to me.

No, only to friends and even then I had sometimes problems that newer (mostly younger 14-16) "friends" drove my car mid-fight away or blocked it with staying in it..

 

With randoms..I got too often kicked out of my own car or driven over to be "that" friendly anymore.

Just today I had someone take my Komoda from the front of the casino and take it joyriding; no biggie I called my CEO Buzzard to fly to Chumash for some bunker work and about 20 minutes later the same person destroyed it and got slapped with an eyewatering insurance charge [it was $19,380 or something].  Ouch.  One call to Mors and it was back in my garage spic and span

Nope, never. I don't even leave my cars parked out in the open with the doors locked either. I'd love to, to have people look at it or even go for a joyride. But the community these days is more like "haHa I can blow up this car look it!!1! How funniez!" It gets old. So no, if I have to park my car anywhere it is far out of public (gtaonline player) view, otherwise I use valet or storage as much as possible. If it's a discreet car often times I can get away with parking like an NPC but other times it'll often be parked off to the side of locations like the Ponsonby's or any other popular spot without storage. Also, only friends and crew members can hop in while I'm on the move because often time I'll be minding my business then some random comes out of nowhere and tries to get in my car and I'm just like who's mans is this? I don't know you.

I think I have it set to Everyone, or quite possibly Friends, because I almost exclusively play with people I know nowadays.

 

I don’t care if randoms blow up my rides though, and I’m actually a little amused when some random takes a car or a heli for a joyride. I mean, I can throw them out at any time if I feel like it. And they can’t do any lasting damage to any of it.

 

If they blow it up? I get it back in 30 seconds, mint condition, joke’s on them.

 

They’re basically setting fire of 20k of their own cash in front of me, thinking that it’ll make me upset.

use to back in the day but folks would then use mod menu to tune up the cars and remove my settings for cars. Became really annoying so had to turn that sh*t off.
