misterright1
How do I remove the Cutscene borders is there a certain txd file that contains them? I have an 18.5:9 aspect ratio device and the game stretches to that aspect ratio which makes alot of the content not so viewable because of the borders. It's almost the same aspect ratio as the game intended the cutscenes to be. If I have not posted this in the right category, tell me I'll repost it in the correct category or an admin move it if possible. jm-9
Are you sure that you're not seeing all of the intended content? Keep in mind that the cutscenes for meant for a 4:3 display. On PC, the GTA III widescreen fix can remove them, but it sounds like you're on mobile. If you can find a mod to remove the borders, it could have unintended consequences. At that time, many cutscenes were designed so that when a character left the screen, they would move just off-camera, where the character model would stay. Think of an actor in a play leaving a scene and moving just off-stage. Look at this video from 007: NightFire, a PS2/GameCube/XBOX game. The developers took a different approach in this game. When widescreen is enabled, you can see more in cutscenes. i.e. the video isn't stretched, you can see more on the left and right instead. Watch the woman wearing blue. In this cutscene, the developers forgot to move her out of the 16:9 viewing area. Instead she moves out of the 4:3 viewing area, but since the game removes borders in 16:9 mode, you can see her character model frozen as soon as she walks offscreen. The San Andreas XBOX 360/PS3/Windows Store remastered version also does this, and there are many cutscenes where character models freeze in place as soon as they walk outside of the original 4:3 viewing area where the developers thought people would never see. https://youtu.be/kVYUPGrr1-A?t=934 Edited December 23, 2019 by jm-9 UltraGizmo64

The content I see is 4:3 wide, but 18:9 tall. So basically I have borders creating an even larger aspect ratio than the one intended to be in the cutscenes(like 25:9 or whatever). I know I'm not seeing all of it because when I got to the scene where 8 ball blows up the ship, I can't even see the ship. Whilst in previous playthroughs I could. stef_92
If you are on PC - simply use ThirteenAG's widescreen fix. If you are on mobile I'm afraid that I can't help you
