I still think that less kids wouild play it if it was only on Xbox and PC, so R* wouldnt have to cencor it that much. That would make the game better . But yeah, I hope future GTA's take the Xbox route myself. The Xbox is the more powerful console, no doubt about it. In fact, the highly anticipated Doom III will only come out on PC and the Xbox. As of 2004, NO ONE has any exclusive rights to any gta games for any system, so don't be saying what systems owns what, all of them will be fair game. The PS3 isn't due out until sometime in 2005, and R* would lose alot of money if they waited that long to release another game after SA. Most people get the console for the game it has, not the features or power. So, if someone got ps2 it's probably for gta, and vice versa. Now, why would a company shoot itself in the foot and release a game on another platform where people will buy it, of course, but not as many. On ps2, they have a steady stream of people who would buy the next gta no matter what. Also, ps3 is coming out a year earlier then xbox2 and gc2 ( probably). In fact, GTA3 was originally planned to be on the DC, not the ps2. Its not $ony's decision what platform R* makes games for. The contract was signed in late 2000/early 2001, before we knew how powerful the other systems would be. And second of all, Rockstar never censored GTA 3 or Vice City for the PS2. It would look and play exactly the same on the XBOX just like it does on PS2 and PC. Do you really think they would make the XBOX version(if there will be one) different then the PC or PS2? That just wouldn't make no sense. I dunno if Rockstar plans to port them. I wouldn't oppose it though, more power to them. The more people playing GTA, the less likely people will want to ban it outright As long as GTA comes out on PC and eventually goes multiplayer (like GTA2 multiplayer, not like stupid multiplayer) I'll be happy. Look at all the money Microsoft and Rockstar would be making if they made GTA for Xbox. Im sure that besides the money Microsoft will pay Rockstar for making the game they will probably add a bonus if they do some Xbox Live addon or extra exclusive material. For now lets leave the PC out of the picture, if theres a GTA, it will very likely be on PC. A 4 year contract was signed in 2000, it is 2003, and in 2004, it expires. That contract stated that all GTA console games would be released exclusively on PS2 for the duration of the contract. When that contract expires, Rockstar can release any GTA on any system they want. Now for all the hatred of Systems. I own a Gamecube, I like it for the nice fantasy, RPG, and other exclusive games for it. It has very good graphics, and differences bet ween it and other systems is not noicable in most games. And no, Mario is no the base game for GC, it doesn't really have one. I have extensively played PS2. It has nice graphics as well, but not entirely noticable. It has a number of games other systems don't. Many sports, action, and adventure games are released for it. Xbox is also an exceptional system. The graphics are very noticable in many games. It also has all of the good games of PS2, others, but not some of those great GC Games. Overall, Xbox is the superior system, with good games, graphics and the overall package. I myself, will always get a Nintendo system, as they are my personal favorite. Playstation 2 and Xbox are both systems in the same league, and are a division of preference. Playstation will always be pretty much the most popular system, having the huge fanbase and developer base. Xbox will always be a hardcore favorite, or an intelligent favorite. Those wishing for REAL videogaming, or those who are looking for a great value in a system. Gamecube will always be the family favorite. It offers all of the games appropriate for each person in a family, and gives them a good mix. Therefore, there is no true winner in the war of consoles. The PC will forever be there to take a prize. But a PC is only superior to those willing to put into one. GTA will forever be a great game, wherever played. If it goes to GC and Xbox, I will be happy so I can play it, and so that those who lack a good computer can enjoy this wonderful series. GTA does not belong on any one system, It belongs to gamers, to gamers who love it. And wherever there is a gamer that loves GTA, there should be a GTA. Therefore, I would like to politely ask everyone to stop flaming consoles or PC's so often. Yes the PS2 is not as good, but it is cheaper and easier. Computers are better and more productive. I ask of no response to what I just said saying I am flaming people in particular, I am asking you to do something. Please do not reply to this, anyone, saying "PS2 wil j0wnt you all" or "PC rulez."
