The majority of new players are convinced that this is a western spinoff of GTAO...

Maybe they think twice, next time before they "spend all ingame money and gold on weapons for the griefings sake"...

And the sheep's wool jacket cost only RDO$ 74 or 3 Gold...

They maybe should focused on the sometimes harsh Environment, instead of the best weapon around...

So I don't feel sorry for them at all...
The unwanted playerbase is freezing to death...🤣

Keep chasing off the 'Unwanted' player base and you won't have a Online mode to enjoy for much longer when they shut the servers down due to low population and lack of profit. But thanks for exposing your short sightedness.

Well what issue do you have with it then?

I thought it was obvious. I'll use explosive ammo as an example. I had to reach rank 90 something and fork out like $900, but here you go you rank 10 player, have a sh*tload of for free.

Great idea R* with the snow everywhere.. now all the new players are stuck in cold temps with no cold weather gear and no money to afford cold weather gear. But yeah.. its not like you to think about things like that is it? Maybe it will reveal how stupid it was of you to start players off with nothing to handle the cold in the first place.

Are you for real? It only takes one piece of clothing to make a cold weather outfit, a coat. You can get a sheep's wool jacket for $74.00 (rank 11).

And realistically, other than looking the part, the cold has little effect. If you see the little red frosty icon on your health core, just eat something.

Anyone know if there is a large Christmas tree in St Denis? I see Christmas lights lining the main street but I thought there was supposed to be a tree or maybe I'm confusing GTA. Snow is incredible by the way. I'm glad it's actually snowing too and not just snow on the ground. The world looks amazing with this light dusting of snow. Looking forward to the winter storm they speak of too

I'm a masterful fiddler it seems.

Just fiddlin up a storm in my speakeasy while it snows outside.

So new player starts a character today, and has to wait until rank 11 before they can do away with the 900 percent core drain loss. *Slow claps* But just keep being dismissive please.

Yeah that band is addicting! I always find myself dancing in front of the band too it's so funny and the music is relaxing I enjoy it way more than I should. They did some cool things with that speakeasy

Am I wrong? Is that not the position someone joining today would be in? Or are you to much of an idiot to get this basic concept I am trying to lay out for you?

Bro, here's a tip to those new starters from a seasoned beta vet: big game meat + mint. Say good bye to your cold woes. Farm 'gators in the bayou. Mint is everywhere.

I have an infinite supply, they don't. I'm cool with that but I get why some people aren't.

IDK about Winter Weather warning.  But it was 81 degrees with snow on the ground in Saint Denis. That was interesting. And temps in the 20's in New Austin.

It's easy and even fresh players can tackle this problem without spending a cent. Shoot yourself a few deers, skin them, cook their meat at the campfire in Valentine (or any other usable firepit out there), stow it in your bag and eat it when you are effected by cold. All free, all good. Cold weather gear is overrated. Probably can't blame a new player for not knowing, but one can be blamed for not trying out how things work.

They're going to complain no matter what.

They don't want methods of dealing with this, they simply want a whinge.

But that is amusing I guess. Making a suggestion of any kind is considered bitching? Hmmm that explains a great deal why Red Dead Online has such trash reviews across the net yeah? Also explains why nothing ever gets improved on this game.

We have dedicated sections for suggestions and bitching.

Neither is really wanted on this thread, so please go to those places instead.

Time to move back on subject please, any more diversionary posts will be hidden.

That guy may be a humbug, but the defensiveness of somebody criticizing the game is equally annoying.

Snow at my camp in the Great Plains. Time to bring out the buffalo coats and, to my surprise, the hair clipping seems fixed!

The way I read the newswire...it sounds like the snow might stay through New Year’s, rather than snowing, then normal, then snowing, then normal.

Anyone else reading it that way or am I being too hopeful? I’d love for the snow to remain for the next two weeks. My in-game camera is about to get filled up.

I logged on this morning in St Denis...it was night in game and snowfall was heavy! And I love the Christmas lights in the streets too. Then the snowfall stopped a bit later as I traveled. Anyway it makes those fireplaces look appealing! You can almost feel the cold outside lol.

Happy Holidays all!

At this point they seriously should introduce seasons, each one lasting one or two week(s).

Would make the game much more replayable

Anyways, I love the snow!!! Feels great to finally have some winter scenery in usable areas xD

Canadian here! Lots of experience with snow lol.

If they're trying to make it realistic, the first snow almost always melts within a day of hitting the ground, then as you get closer to christmas, you will get a couple more snows, then eventually by new years the snow banks are 5 feet high. I would be ecstatic if they did something like this.

I wasn't expecting it either though, thought it was just gonna snow right through the next couple weeks. Was in the desert and saw it get down in the 20s fahrenheit, ran to the tailor and spent all my money on jackets and thick vests, came outside and...sweated my balls off in 84 degrees lmao. I guess I had been in there a while 😅.

To me it sounds like the snow/blizzards will get heavier, perhaps the patchier places will also get more coverage on the ground too.

Right now the south of the map is still hot even with snow on the ground but blizzards (I had one in Van Horn) make the temps plummet. So my guess is in a few days they'll dial it up and it'll be freezing across the entire map with more frequent blizzards.

Can't wait to play this once I finish work. Only 2 hours to go..

As someone who hasn't started the Moonshiner role as of yet, it will be interesting to see whether the snow exists in the cutscenes also.. now that would be awesome 😁

I normally do not hang around in Lemoyne but been doing so lately because of how beautiful Saint Denis looks in snow, especially during the night.
