so many hackers online now .....i killed 12 lions so far near hennings stead and armadillo

Maybe that's what happened to me last night.

One of the dailies was to take 3 dangerous predator carcasses or pelts to Cripps, and as I was looking around for Wild Feverfew to pick for another daily, 6 or 7 wolves came after me.

I killed 3, then 1 disappeared.

Then the rest of the live ones disappeared. There were two other players nearby.

 

I've also seen an obvious cheater during a live stream blowing up players and soaking up inordinate amounts of damage.

The streamer reported him, he left immediately, then he came on stream chat and whined that he got reported!

Like WTF do you expect?

like 15 min ago a guy with no name was teleporting around me,just like the internet disconnect cheat in for honor,  killing all the animals i was trying to hunt,i think he wanted me to attack him because i just ignored him every time he killed me  . that was so stupid and pointless .

Wasn't the lion in single player just a dog dressed as a lion?  Or is there another lion?  It's been a while, sorry.

you kill a real lion at some point,for the paw to get the talisman, in that stranger quest line

i`m currently playing the epilogue as the fat guy who likes to f*ck his sister and kills people ....they even added voice lines to respond to npcs and horses

in the great plains i also saw someone spawn like 15 cougars and kill them, drag them into their hunting cart and deliver to their camp for resources

Why didn't they just spawn them in their camp? Seems much faster.

animals have certain spawn points in single player , there are certain points if you use bait it will 100% spawn an animal there (i know this because i hunted a bull moose for 2 days ,not in game days) .....maybe they can only spawn certain animals at specific points

The guy had a fake lion as well as a real one. When Arthur goes after the real one he assumed it was also a dog but was in for quite the surprise. You also cut off its paw as a trophy thats required for some special trinket that gives you a bonus I cannot remember right now.

This is why I'll never play multi player games online on PC. Consoles lack the graphical fidelity but there's none of the cheating cunts there.

I get wanting to mod the game and goof around and have fun with, but why inflict it on others who don't?

 

I suspect the wolves that chased me weren't meant to interact with others. I thought I'd stumbled into on of those defend the traveller missions with all the red dots at first, and wouldn't have messed with the wolves if they hadn't chased and caught up to me.

My bolt action rifle needed 7 shots, he needed one. I am SO f*cking done with bullsh*t like this. 

 

Either play the game fairly, or die. Yes I am fed up and absolutely salty about it.

My experience says otherwise sadly. Mostly health and damage hacks tho

You have no idea what a hacker is huh?  They are just using Mods. Its against Term of service, but they probably couldnt hack their way out of a paper bag. They are just really dumb.

It depends what your definition is. If they are using a tool to exploit the system - doesn't matter whether they wrote the tool or are just using it - then technically they are hacking the game. Playing it down and saying they are "just using mods" comes across as trying to make it sound like some socially acceptable activity, when it is not.

cheating, exploits, hacking, modding. It is all the same when other players are influenced by it, especially unasked and even more so if they are affect negatively by it. Want to do that sh*t? Do it in singleplayer. But don't use it against other players who just want to play the game. 

I don't care what reason one has to use stuff like that, but when other players are affected by it, the person who does so is a f*cking *sshole.

When I heard about RD coming to PC I knew it wouldn't take long before it became a complete nightmare. I didn't expect it to happen this quickly though.

Yep. I do feel for those on PC though, it's unfortunate they can't fully enjoy the experience on their platform of choice. 

 

The inevitable PS5 port will give me sufficient visual upgrades and will have the benefits of being relatively cheater free.

Yes.  Well you cannot use "our own" definition of something lol. Their are official definitions. But I definitely wasnt downplaying it. If anything the opposite. Hacking isnt a huge problem because chances are you will never run into or be affected by that. But a Mod that any 12 year old can go download and use to take advantage of the game online is way worse. Either way, they will get banned, and they are probably using their own IP address since they arent actual hackers. So they will get what is coming to them.

It's not my definition. An aspect of hacking involves exploiting a system. Using a mod - yours or someone elses - to e.g. spawn items into Online therefore falls under that definition. 

 

It's not really an important distinction unless you're of the opinion that "using mods" is harmless because "I can" , "it is possible" or "the developers haven't stopped it yet". Which you're not by the sounds of it.

They're not hacking the game, they're not modding the game, but they are cheating.

 

But we all know what is meant regardless of terminology.

I've been assured by Rockstar personally that their team is hard at work to resolve this...
