How to make Poison Poppy's Moonshine? (SOLVED)

I did 24 treasure maps, just in case I got the same pamphlet twice, to go with the one I already had

Is there an opium den (or saloon) that maybe this Poison Poppy NPC possibly frequents? I'm stumped for ideas.

In strawberry, under the general store, there's a moonshine still in the basement.

The entrance in story mode is behind the store counter.

 

Is there a way to get in there in Online?

during a moonshine sale (Grizzlies shack to Hanging Dog Ranch) last night. Went back after completing the sale and it was gone.

 

It was during the in game night, if that helps.

I went to check the locations in lemoyne. if something there seems to be blank grassless spots to which I could figure a camp would spawn into.

When I get on later I'm going to pin all 12 locations and start hitting them all by loading into the furthest away region then fast travelling so hopefully other players aren't near the locations I'm checking.

 

Edit: I've been hitting locations for around an hour now with no success.

I've managed to get into a couple of solo lobbies but only had chance to check one spot each time before the lobby repopulated, the rest of the time I've been in 20+ player lobbies where nothing spawns.

Same. Although I was noticing more animal and some random events with 18-22 players in session

I've hardly seen anything in weeks, the world is completely empty apart from NPC's in towns.

 

I've got well above average internet connection too, 100mb download fiber with a wired connection.

Do you switch lobbies when you notice the world is empty?

 

Run a speedtest or test connection on ps4 to make sure you're getting that 100mb. If not you may need to reset router.

 

I get 150+mbps and once in a while I start game and disconnections happen often. I check speed and notice it's only getting 13mbps. Reset router and it's back up to 150mbps.

I've tried just about everything I can short of a full reinstall. Lobby hops (actually full app close and restart as changing lobby gives me infinite loading screens), clearing cache regularly, glitching solo lobbies (this does work, but the lobbies repopulate so quickly that you constantly have to break off from hunting to glitch another).

 

It's all down to lobby population, the game currently can't handle more than 15 or 16 players without animal/NPC/hideout/random encounter spawns taking a nose dive.

I'd take 50/50 in a heartbeat right now. I wonder if there is any appreciable difference between PS4, Xbox and PC?

I hear the PC version is worse. I'm on xbox

not at all. i am on pc and even with full lobbies i get plenty of animals including rare bisons and plenty of random events. i do get plenty of infinite loading bugs though, but the freemode stuff seems like a console issue

Are those spots on the map made by fun for just moonshiner events or other events because some of the spots in lemoyne ive had "help defend the settlers " event

Okay, I decided to dig more and find out some info.

It seems like Rockstar made hidden changes to the random events, they now have 15 minute cool down. I can't confirm but it would explain why random events no longer happen more frequently.

UPDATE: It appears to set 15 minute cool down on the type of the random event you have done, thus it won't trigger again letting you experience new ones.

One more thing, it seems like this moonshine camp event could be affected by the moonshine business, it has one hour cool down making it different from the other events.

So just wait one hour without doing any moonshine related activities and let it happen?

It is best you do it in a solo lobby or a lobby with less than 10 or 15 players.

So how does this work in practice? If one player triggers an event they get locked down for everyone else in the lobby for 15 minutes? And an hour for the Poison Poppy's Moonshine event? 

 

It'll be almost impossible to trigger.

Do you have an idea if the production of a moonshine batch were to affect the event? How about the location, do you find anything that would in indicate that some events would be appearing only if the camp is set on some certain area?

It appears I was wrong, it's meant to set 15 minute cooldown on the type of event you have done, so you won't end up with the same event over and over again.

Oh, ok. That kind of makes sense. No one wants to keep getting escort missions repeatedly.
