How to make Poison Poppy's Moonshine? (SOLVED)

I've done the beaver hollow gang hideout twice so far and looted every body and searched the whole area and didn't find it...

Perhaps it' a random drop or needs to activated by Rockstar at a later date. As I am assuming it would have been discovered by now if it is currently active in the game.

Yeah that's what I'm starting to think. I've been on so much trying to find it.

Pretty sure the developers are having a holiday break, I doubt we will get more info.

I'm sure the answer is the moonshiner camp random event, I spent some time a few days ago looking for the event but with no luck.

When you say random event, do you mean something like a camp defend type event for the trader but instead something for the moonshiner?  I had a "rescue the buyer" pop up the other day and I had to rescue a moonshine buyer who had been kidnapped.  It was bugged though and I ended up failing.

Tez, is there anyway to maybe pinpoint the spawns of the moonshine camps at least? That way we can focus on those areas

No, that has nothing to do with the Moonshiner camp, the blip for this event says "Stranger Camp".

I'm yet to see any reports of people encountering this event, most people are saying they encountered a "recuse the buyer" mission which is the moonshine camp raid.

I registered to start dumping some info here..

There is another rare type of Bootlegger mission where you need to search an area to destroy moonshiner camps as well..it might be the 'Moonshiner Camp' event for all I know, but I did one <failed it on purpose to explore more> and saw some thing interesting...in the back of a wagon was a large chest that popped in eagle eye as lootable..except the wagon was in a spot I couldn't climb on very well. So I went to spawn my hunting wagon and try to use it to climb on etc etc and every thing despawned as some one else pulled a mission in the same area sadly.

But has any one -ever- gotten a moonshiner recipe via the treasure maps? If so...I'm all for burning through every darned map I got in hopes of it dropping that way..

On the other hand, and this might be my brain not fully working yet...I think the name it self could be the way to discover the moonshine recipe. So far, every one of the buyers for Poison Poppy's Moonshine have been female. Notice too it is 'Poison Poppy's Moonshine'. Perhaps we need to find these clients and actually speak to them and ..make a moonshine to kill an abusive parent for them? I admit that might be a stretch but darn it...it could be some thing like that perhaps? Some sort of high/low honor recipe deal?

That's a good lead bro. As far as I know, its not in a treasure chest. I've done 10 and nothing.

Unfortunately the RNG of getting recipes from chests is so low I suspect it's under 1% of the time. I've cracked well over a hundred, gotten a single pamphlet..

And if you consider how few people are reporting their chest pamphlet drops learning about the chances of RNG giving us a moonshiner one is worse..

What I do know is some one claimed to have gotten Berry Crumb I believe from a Moonshiner NPC. Which you can learn via just doing the role, so they looted it early.

I just wanted to chime in. I had a complete perfect stealth run on the story mission on the first try, and can confirm I did not receive the recipe. My second guess is doing stealth bootlegger missions xx amount of times. But support said find*, this is significantly different wording than earn*. Was there a new hideout? Anyone try that? IF the recipe is in game, I think odds would be better if the damn server would load random events, but nearly impossible given the game attempts to keep servers full. I hope someone could look into the code to confirm the existence...

Camps (of any type) will always show chest as lootable but really are not. I've seen chest in wagons, under wagons, you name it, never been able to get into one. Not all Poppy buyers are female, the one I have currently is Edwin Martel, almost looks like an agent man, bowlers cap? I think. Definitely not the look of a hillbilly.

I had this happen once just before I was about to sell. I was instantly removed from cabin to rescue a buyer. I noted that is was not MY buyer for the flavor I had at the time. I was successful at this mission. However I can't recall any specific rewards. I have 9 recipes but honestly don't recall earning them lol.

Huh...alright I guess I never paid to close attention about the type of buyer...there goes my theory..!

To be fair; I think the rescue the buyer thing is essentially the same as a 'camp raid'...some thing random to make sure people don't just idle all the time to build up supplies etc with out concern. You can fail it and ..still have buyers I suspect.

A friend looked into it, can confirm that you'll be able to make Poison Poppy moonshine once you find that random moonshine camp.

For me the buyer got killed and then the sell option was locked for around 30 minutes, I lost no product.

Just checked, it's not in my satchel either. The game probably glitched when I finished the mission. Condor egg immediately popped up.
