I did a bootleg (took note of the time) and went to a spawn site exactly 30 mins later, still appeared and I killed the two moonshiners, opened the box and it said poppy recipe, now the clever bit, I turned and looted the two bodies, turned back and the chest had gone I’ve tried again and no still spawn, so moral of the story is grab it quick Winonas, Hyperlith and Xtf 3 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I think you have the right idea to get it to spawn. Just wait in the area after doing moonshine mission and keep a close look at the time and hope no other event spawns nearby. Hopefully, it doesnt glitch out permanently like a couple of pamphlets. Otherwise, you probably will have to wait until the next update. I would be pretty mad if this had happened. Point blank, after 3 days of trying to get this AFTER the supposed update, I'm convinced that a majority of servers simply are not spawning either the event or random events in general. I dont know if this has to do with how many players are in it or not, but it is something Rockstar needs to address. Its not really cool of them to be like "wink, wink, you'll have to just find it somewhere" and then have the whole thing be busted for a lot of people. At this point they need to just give it to everybody, because while it seems like a cool idea, the developers poorly executed it. I passed out over 400 times trying to get the Epsilon t-shirt, when I finally got the tee my game crashed. I contacted support and after some back and forth they said it was showing I had it on my account, I sent a video showing that it wasn't in my inventory, but there was nothing they could do. I guess, in the end there is no special trigger for it. It really is just that: random. Pray to the RNG gods. I've been suggesting the Wait 30 minutes After a Delivery strategy for 3 reasons: To reset the glitched cool-down from before the red-dot bootlegger events started spawning around the map. To reset the cool-down again in case there's another glitch in a different event. (An act of frustration that shouldn't hurt.) FFF_Silencer Posted January 13, 2020 Share Posted January 13, 2020 Ok this makes zero sense, I have been looking for poison poppys moonshine recipe since it was added with nmo luck what so ever with the spawns infact no random events are spawning for me at all but i was just looking through my satchel at different things and in the moonshine recipe section there it was. Once i read it i can now make the moonshine, But i never looted it, how can i when there are no random events. Well at least i can call off the search now. Plugpearson Posted January 13, 2020 Share Posted January 13, 2020 Managed to get a solo lobby after a bar punch up mission. Spend 3 your riding the circuit of locations and still nothing. I am getting road blocks and poison still missions popping up as well as other white dot events. But no recipe event. On the plus side Cripps is fully stocked and so is my wagon. This would be great if it wasn't for my moonshine shack and most of my playtime being focused in New Austin where they didn't put any spawns, for whatever reason. The recipe is super useful though, because unlike Agarita flowers absinthe can be found while the sun is still shining, and poison poppy is on almost every buyer list. My friend got it second time last night, and I just got it second time. Funnily enough it was at the same place as first in the border between Marsh and Roanoke. I was getting some bird feathers and whatnot hunting in a solo lobby when hideout spawned, then escort/ambush lady that was an ambush and then as I was riding away saw the camp again. I did a moonshine sell mission, then roamed around Cumberland Forest for about an hour. Finally got bored and decided to go over to Bluewater Marsh to check those spawns, and finally said F it and tried jumping sessions(since doing that around an animal spawn point momentarily resets it when you spawn in and it spawns(most times)), and sure enough the white dot appeared a few seconds after I spawned in. Could have been dumb luck, but maybe there's more to it.. Maybe wait 30 minutes after moonshine activity, then go to a spawn point and switch sessions to get it to appear? I SPAWN BACK IN FROM THE LOAD SCREEN AT 2:10 I'm mostly glad I found it because I could finally finish up the award for drinking 10 types of moonshine lol, but nevertheless, I hope this may be the answer for some still looking.
