AStiffBreeze Posted December 17, 2019 Share Posted December 17, 2019 I’m not sure if anyone else is experiencing this, but since the Moonshiners update I’ve been beset by a constant bug: whenever I enter a Free Roam Event (of any kind), I’m not able to dual wield my pistols any more: the weapon wheel shows only a single pistol, despite the fact that I have the off hand holster on every single outfit, and I can even see the two pistols in my character’s holsters inside the FRE. The dual wielding still works correctly in free roam, showdowns, etc., it’s just FREs that are affected AFAICS. What it might be related to: I have a long standing bug that’s affected me since the launch of RDO (Beta), where both of my pistols have the same card suit designation (they are both clubs). This makes selecting them in the Gunsmith quite annoying and haphazard, but otherwise that has never been a problem. Dark Spark Posted December 19, 2019 Share Posted December 19, 2019 Last time I went into a Condor Egg event, I gave up on looking for it after two or three minutes, resigned to the notion that someone who was working harder than me was going to nab it any second now. Instead I rode casually around Roanoke Ridge, shooting every bandit I saw for the XP. Even stumbled across a Rival Collector (the sort you see in Salvage events) and got a bottle off him. Must have been over five minutes of nobody finding the Condor Egg when I came across a golden plume in my Eagle Vision. I wasn't even looking for it, and there it was. Dark Spark Posted December 26, 2019 Share Posted December 26, 2019 The Free Roam Events are still saddling us with one sidearm. And weapons selecting in general seems to be a little broken. Every time I enter an Online Story mission, the game ignores my weapon selection from the startup menu and equips me with a Cattleman as one of the sidearms. This can be rectified most times soon as you get on your horse, but it's a hassle (not to mention you can never access your horse at any time on the Saint Denis bank job for Samson). Also, on my theory that it might be related to my long-standing bug of both of my pistols having the same card suit (clubs), I lockered both of them and switched to my dual LeMats (which correctly have different card suits) and still had one taken off me in every FRE, so that theory is disproven. Xtf Posted January 7, 2020 Share Posted January 7, 2020 I've had the same issue since moonshine released, I normally carry a sawn off as my second sidearm (for emergencies) but whenever I go into free roam events I only have my main revolver. Well, happened again today, in the morning I got the invite, in the afternoon I did NOT. Kinda annoying by now. Been in cinematic mode, stood in the wardrobe, just sat at the campfire, the event seems to fail randomly on me. We're entering these Free Roam Events with an offhand holster, with the second gun showing on our character during these events, but the game won't allow us to dual-wield. Very disconcerting, as I've been dual wielding since early beta & use Gunslinger's Choice as my main ability card. I feel off, & it's hard to enjoy them at all like this. Was about not getting the invite to the free roam event at all. Been fine these days! BTW: since the moonshiner update, after you get thrown back into freeroam when the FR event is done- collectibles won't spawn. Seen that too?! I just checked and it doesn’t say that for me, but I have others marked as glitched (there is one that is a 1800 gold dollar iirc that is glitched).
