Someone here mentioned the Arcade is essentially your 2nd Nightclub. Is this true?

Recommended Posts

So I saw in a thread yesterday that your arcade is brilliant as it essentially acts as a second nightclub in terms of passive income. Is this true? My nightclub makes me loads of cash for literally doing nothing by linking all my other businesses, so if true, I'd LOVE my arcade!

Somewhat skeptical though...  😕

Can anyone verify this, (and elaborate as to how to do it) or is that a hoax?

Many thanks in advance.

not at all. the arcade itself is pretty horrible for making money because the passive income is like the nightclub safe, not the nightclub warehouse. you get it for the casino heist, master control terminal & maybe the extra garage space if you're into cars.

Cheers mate. Kind of figured as much. Glad I didn't get my hopes up too much. A second nightclub warehouse'esque business would be phenomenal!

Anyway, thanks again.

Sidenote: I WISH we could do the casino heist solo. Just finally tried it earlier and was forced to play with randoms who immediately died, then bailed lol....

Unlike the nightclub, the arcade makes money without doing anything.  No popularity missions, no supplies, it sits and money comes in.

Just not very much.

It tops out at $5,000 per game-day and the safe holds up to $50,000.

You don’t need every game and maxed-out decor to get a few thousand per day.  With no interior upgrades and only 3 games I was getting >$1,900 per day.

Apparently you can own multiple arcades, not sure if you do (or if that was a factual statement) but if so could that increase income and make it a better source of income?

Nope--just like all other CEO/Bunker/NC/MC clubhouse businesses you get one location.  And the arcade is an absolute nonstarter as a source of income beyond prepping for heists

I wish this were true, I'd buy them all for the garage space.

I wish it was true because i'd buy them all to

1) Do something with my damn earnings piling up in this stale game and

2) Have objectives and experiences that don't involve being pressured into ridiculously OTT linear missions with balance issues and minimum player entry requirements that hold no entertainment value for me whatsoever

I don't even care about the lack of income. They all look awesome and I'd rather live a power fantasy about becoming the Queen of Clubs & Coin-Ops in LS instead of an always-on-board mute lackey jumping through arbitrary hoops while experiencing piss-poor mission planning resulting in yet another "surprise" ambush, all for this season's Irritating Forgettable NPC and their pathetic payouts. After years of this predictable BS whenever the next Insufferable Mission Dispenser swags their way up to me in a one-time-only cutscene I should have enough money and status to at least do this:

Yeah rockstar, give us something to spend our money on.

Yes ma'am. For a game that for a long time boasted about being able to essentially do whatever in its "living breathing world", they've certainly chipped away at that in these last few years. These heists were a step in the right direction though, at least we can choose different approaches and getaway vehicles. But they burn predominantly solo players with their minimum player requirements.

The arcade interiors are actually very well done, and I find myself playing those Outrun parody games, Race n chase I think it's called and the Space Invaders-like one most often.

Like you, I would own all of them if I could as well, regardless of the profit made. I think it would be cool to see all the arcades fixed up rather than just my own.

Agreed. I have more money than those all those shlupps combined that tell me "Buy this new business or property or else I'm going to call you so much your ears fall off! And make sure you resupply it! Reee!" I should be able to tell them back "Do it yourself you little turd." At least I don't have to worry about arcade popularity, so there's at least that.

Just some advice for those that do want to make money from it, you can place more machines (only the big machines can be placed once, the small machines can be placed multiple times) and i assume that gives you more income (only just figured this out few mins ago so i havent been able to check if it does pay more, but would make sense)

Well, it is purely passive income and I'm gonna buy all the arcade machines anyway.

I have stopped grinding except for selling the nightclub when it's full and Rockstar just doesn't want me to run out of money apparently.

Oh, please say it's called Race n Chase!

That was the working title for the original GTA

Yes that is indeed what it is called. I wasn't completely sure when I replied earlier despite the fact that play it every time I log in, trying to beat my high score. :p

And yes I'm aware that "Race n Chase" was the original working title for GTA. I think it was actually going to be a racing game but something happened with the police AI that they couldn't correct or something like that happened. Either way, here we are more than 20 years later with a game more than six years old that still holds its own against new offerings from other publishers. All thanks to a bug in ancient coding.

Full disclosure: that second paragraph was written entirely based on my memory. If I'm wrong, blame my memory which forgets things even written down on a shopping list. Nothing like coming home and wondering how i managed to forget bread, despite it being on my list and crossed out.

Aren't the daily fees/utilities more costly than the 5k per day?

Not for the arcade alone.

I also tend to avoid paying the daily fees, and the arcade income is received regardless.

Even when I stay in a session and need to do something as MC or CEO, I choose the latter because I have my bunker shut down so I don't have to pay its fees. At the nightclub I produce cargo, cocaine, meth, cash, weed. So I only get hefty fees when I remain in a session too long as MC.

So you can just buy the cheapest arcade machine, put it everywhere and get an easy $5000k daily income.

Not bad.

Sure, but your arcade will look totally crap and you'll never want to spend any time in it, which would be a shame.

The fact is, because of the amount of daily fees incurred, spending an hour trying to beat high scores is a total indulgence if you decide to get all the games. You can only make GTA$5,000 per day from your safe, but you could be paying in excess of GTA$20,000 in fees. Go figure. However, if you have a bunker, nightclub and some other smart money-making ideas, this can easily be offset and you will still make a profit.

In general, the arcade front is nothing more than indulgent fun, while providing access to other GTA online goodies, especially for us older types who remember the days of 10 pence pieces (quarters?) and how much fun and exciting the atmosphere was back then, instead of being at home in front of a TV with nothing more than a headset.

I agree. That's why I've been subtracting arcade machines to see what the minimum number is to get the $5000. 😉

But still, for someone low on money buying a $100k machine and putting it everywhere is actually a good investment. It would take 960 minutes = 16 hours to start making a profit.

As I mentioned above, the arcade income is not tied to the daily fees. You'll get it every 48 minutes even when leaving sessions early.

No, the arcade is pmuch just a 'nice to have', max daily income is 5k, the only real value to the place is the basement. You can host the casino heist from there and you can buy a 'master control' terminal that let's you run all your companies from there, but you don't really need either of those things, and the 'master control' thing is not as useful as it sounds.

If you're swimming in cash you should get an arcade with all machines though, because the games are pretty neat from a gta-fan perspective (bscly every game ever seen or mentioned in any gta is there, well except 'cubed' or what it's called)
