The chopper spawns just fine, but since they took diamonds away, we aren't getting npc vehicles in the parking lot anymore. Either going to need to bump to 7% cars, or run it out the long way. Luckily the gold has been glitchy lately and letting us fast run and jump.

Yeah some really dicky rockstar decisions, as usual. No running in Agatha's office any more, because....?

Probably so she can properly ID the weirdos who post in the appreciation thread.

It really depends. Drilling still pays more than Headhunter (my threshold for good payment), but of course there are situations where getting the drills makes barely any difference. If you're going for artwork though with 4 players and stay undetected... you better bring drills.

Yeah I think drills should be looked at as insurance. Specifically insurance for getting in undetected and also which hacker to use.

If you're not sure you're team can get in undetected (Silent & Sneaky or a Big Con that isn't Gruppe Sechs) then maybe pick them up. Art definitely, cash or gold are iffier. I did a run Gruppe Sechs and Ari run where I emptied two cash carts and drilled two sets of boxes, but one cart was in the middle so I only hacked one door. If I remember right from the layouts, some people will have to hack two and others only one.

I don't think drills are worth it on Aggressive, but possibly. I just did a run where I thermal-ed two doors and emptied two carts but I was out of time by that point. I think there's always a player or two who only has to hack (or thermal) one door, so maybe it's worth it but probably not.

Then again, if you scope artwork and have a great team to play with, it might be worth paying for a cheaper hacker. I think art might be doable with a 5% cut but I'm not sure. I just play with randoms.

I recently did a run with someone who hasn't played the heist before, and we cleared out all the artwork with about 40 seconds left, so I went to drilling one set of boxes. After seeing me he decided to do so, too, only with 20 seconds left and we end up getting detected inside the vault. It was fine by me as I enjoy shooting my way out even if we lost like $100k, but in this case getting the power drills actually ended up costing me money.

Art is definitely doable with 2 players and Yohan, the 5% hacker, but you need a competent team. In the case above I had Paige so I knew there would be time to drill in the end when I did the preps.

They've really sucked the fun out of these heists with the recent additions.

Blocking the door when you turn right out of the stairwell on the way back up with a cleaner's cart

Extra NOOSE van and 4 guards on the racetrack

Getaway vehicles placed so far away you actually have time to go from 5 stars to 4 before even reaching them

None of which is really an issue for experienced players, but the noobs get killed all the time on the racetrack now.

Most annoying thing to me is the cleaner's cart, I used to turn right out of the stairwell on the Big Con, just pistol whip one guard then straight into the laundy to change clothes. Now it's more of a pain going the other way around.

While it's annoying, it's not really the end of the world. It's only one extra guard to pistol whip.

Race track is still just as easy as long as you keep right. Move along the track as normal, but stay as far to the right as possible, running tight to the railing. The new guards won't see you (even though you will pass through their cones of vision). However, Rockstar will probably patch this, unless they already have.

if you are experienced you should be able to shoot the cops on the racetrack before they can kill the noobs.

The fun is gone because you have to shoot 4 more people and on half of the heists you gotta walk 5 meters extra because you go left instead of right?

You guys....

Didn't know this until today:

When sourcing the guns, if you get the NOOSE mission, you can blow up the van and two bags will fall out.

Anyone having problems with a body being found in SnS? It seems to only happen if I do kill the guard behind the counter on the lower floor on the way out and don t rush to the exit.

Now I know it s possible to avoid that guard but when playing with randoms I prefer to remove all possible failure conditions). Would appreciate if anyone has the answer for that cause once I tryed waiting on the lower floor and nothing gets around that guard to spot him

Yeah, it´s a BS move from R*, you should use the EMP and forget about him, you can also dodge him by sticking to the right wall but it´s quite hard.

I had same problem, the solution is to also kill the other two guards who patrol that floor before going up.

Now there's a catch, if you fail and restart, these other two guards will be static in front of the elevator. If you haven't done Duggan Shipment, they will have helmets.

Yesterday I had this problem, so I had to melee kill both of them in quick succession. Still got shot by the second, but only lost a bit of health (and money) and the alarm wasn't triggered.

It would probably take too much time to collect it all.

Apparently there's also a way to not have guards on the vault level on the way out... I think it's linked to killing the guard in the control room,  maybe? Or maybe you always get the extra guards on Hard.

thanks, this needs further testing. Do you mean the little room next to the vault entrance at lower floor?

Yes. But I just watched this video by @oleg_aka_djmeg, and they didn't kill the guard in that room but some others on the vault level, who were also missing on the way out. So I have no idea what this is linked to. Maybe it's a glitch that the guards respawn sometimes.

Or some camera sees the body, idk I killed every guards and still got a "found body" thing. But guard respawning or latency seem more likely.

That video is from december, they changed the "dead body found" thing for the stealthy approach in the patch, where they added the trolleys, the rock and the additional noose on the the race track.

But I always wonder how ppl manage to walk in cones of vision without beeing detected or even just run and jump in stealth approach. Whenever I accidentally run a few steps I instantly alert some guard.
i.e. When reaching the bottom of the stairs without starting to sneak on the last stair (see Video 4:04-4:07) I often alert the guards at the elevator. Or just running through the cam in 4:35-4:36.
Or whenever I start grabbing the money in the daily earnings vault before the door completely closed I'll pulse an alarming sound all over the map.

Is it really so much easier on consoles?

In the patch a couple of weeks ago, they changed for the stealthy approach, that you no longer can kill guards in the basement without beeing detected (except you kill ALL guards in the basement ... not tested yet). If you kill a guard, and you reach the 1st floor, the guards in the staff lobby are not only alarmed, but they know who you are and where you are and actively come after you. Before that patch, you could kill as many as you want ... not sure if they even respawned on your way out after you killed them on your way in.
For BigCon there only are the blocked doors (which randomly are blocked on any approach), you still can kill as many guards in stealth as you want as long as no roaming guards spot the bodies.

I personally did not test it, we exited without killing anyone in the basement. I only read about the alarm not going off, if you kill all guards in the basement in the Bugs-Thread.
Currently there seems to be a bit confusion, since which patch level the alarm is triggered, I believe it was added in the patch from Feb 27th. Maybe JLG tested before that patch, so I cannot tell if it really is working.

Ah, I see. I always kill everyone at the basement level during S&S so I didn't notice the change.

I always do Duggans even if I know it's technically not necessary. I like to fly airplanes and blow up stuff. (Not other players.)
