A meter to discriminate VRAM usage from RDR2 and other Windows apps has been added to the settings menu, to explain why the VRAM meter was missing a few megabytes to a gigabyte. The total now represents your full VRAM but usable by the game it is still not everything because of other Windows apps, as initially speculated... It's a Windows thing as Shadow of the Tomb Raider does the same. My launcher is stuck in offline mode for over half an hour.
Hanzema
They broke my game with this update. Game now runs super choppy on vsync even though it says that its constantly 60 fps. Wth is this?
Spider-Vice
It started doing that for me suddenly in the previous patch, vsync seems to be buggy. If you hit 60 FPS (actual 60 steady, not like 59.9 etc) it won't stutter, anything below will. extremeL
Game no longer tells me to restart after changing the graphic settings that affect this. And also, when using the arrow down keys to scroll in graphic settings the selection jumps 2-4 steps upwards (backwards). Anyone else having this issue? Did you have a method to fix this. Its unplayable. They broke vsync for me. Havent had one issue until now. Spider-Vice
I've heard of gains (haven't tried it myself) so YMMV. If you're using the benchmark, attention because they fixed the minimum and maximum figures, they no longer include transitions, which WILL lower your average FPS as before it was influenced by transition stutters and peaks. I had similar issues on the previous patch but could stop it by turning Vsync off and on again, got to go ingame with it turned off then back to menu. With this patch I get choppy frames as above even though the MSI afterburner OSD shows a solid 60fps, the OSD has some minor flicker as it always has with Vulkan, turning the OSD off eliminates the choppy frames for me, seems to sync with the OSD flicker. BS_BlackScout
Rockstar is asleep. Post post-it notes. Pls don't. _ The unofficial patch notes so far (pulled from my ass): - Fixed User Interface glitches when starting the benchmark after having the game loaded. - Fixed an issue where VRAM was being detected incorrectly, limiting the ability to utilise all of the VRAM and increase certain graphical settings. - Added extra information regarding VRAM Usage, as to report usage for both RDR2 and Other Apps. seldo
wanted to play for a short time, but RGL decided it was time to update so I cannot play this evening also, I am worried about the stutter y'all mentioning above... I am in that grey zone between 40 and 60 regularly, I hope I am not impacted, or that they will fix it but almost 8 GB, what an update!

Spider-Vice
Updated OP with PC specific changes. For the pipeline cache workaround Rockstar posted, I still suggest deleting the shader cache from Documents instead as that might speed up your game (due to precompiling shaders) as long as it doesn't crash again. If it still crashes then use it. Make sure you have the latest version of RTSS. I'm having no problems with it using Vulcan api. Pretty sure there were some Vulcan fixes in the patch notes for the newest release but I don't remember them exactly. 7.2.3 build 20686. Pretty sure there were some Vulcan fixes in the patch notes for the newest release but I don't remember them exactly. 7.2.3 build 20686. I have Afterburner and RTSS upto date already, not sure whether it's the latest Nvidia driver issue or the latest RDR2 update, but I'm getting seriously bad Vsync issues, very choppy frame timing despite fps showing a solid 60fps, with the OSD on or off, it's really bad, the only issues I had before this update with the 444.41 driver was occasional gfx err state crashes after around 90mins of gameplay, the game was rock solid 60fps in all areas including Saint Denis. the problems I was originally having before the last patch turned out to be my mobo going into limp home mode due to my Expensive Seasonic Platinum 1 1kw PSU failing on the 3.3v line which was tripping the thermal throttling feature in the cpu and clocking down to base speedstep state, after replacing that the game was running sweet AF. going to try rolling back Nvidia drivers to a known good one. Edit: Managed to fix the problem, and then immediately break it again Rolling back to 444.41 was a bad idea, introduced constant crashes loading the game after the landing screen if I went into settings, even doing a full safe mode DDU and updating to the latest Nvidia driver the game would crash, however after deleting the entire contents of the settings folder in users\etc the game was back to running completely smooth from launch straight into game, however, the moment I pause the game and simply go into the ingame settings and just look at them without changing anything, the moment I go back into the game I get the choppy frame rates back ........................ seems to me that R* broke something in there. socorrista22198
Hi, would be nice to downgrade to the previous version of the game, in my case, with version 1207.80 i had 50-60 fps and now with 1232.13 25-50fps. I have the latest nvidia drivers 441.66, win10 64bits, i76700k 16GB, gfc1080. Would be nice to decide ourselves if we want to patch the game or not, for people that hasn´t problems with the actual version.
Pointi1978
I have some serious stuttering issues as well with this patch. Its definitely a vsync issue, as I am even getting theese stutters when I use 720p graphics... with an RTX 2060... Please fix ASAP as it is weekend and I want to PLAY! Spider-Vice
This has been happening in some configurations as far back as the first release version so... Other than that which I started having once I changed my GPU to an AMD one (it's minor microstuttering but it's there, it's 100% playable), the game seems as smooth if not a bit smoother than before, raw framerate-wise.
