asadog2 Posted January 17, 2020 Share Posted January 17, 2020 So in the setup I drove it And I must say that it’s a pretty good recreation of the X3 But Perhaps GTA WIKI is missing information but it has absolutely no mods except for the boring old regular ones Just the lame military liveries for it....come on?! THATS ALL? Where are the light bars, the bumpers, the custom rims and tires for it (the lame LSC ones) Where are the exhausts? The roofs and the audio systems?! The add on mirrors, doors, the custom graphics, the windshields, the list goes on Come on R* you added a vehicle with nearly infinite customization and this one has none whatsoever But anyway apart from that ISSUE and the fact that the doors don’t open the right way I love it I mean it’s hard to compare video game to real life but It’s scaled properlyish still need to double check that one It handles like a dream, like in real life It has a great top speed for what it is, good realistic enough engine sound Anyway here’s my temporary break down of it For GTA, this is about the closest interior that you can get to an actual X3 Gauges are in the right spot and look close enough but are set into and attached to the dash rather than the steering column All the switches remind me of the highly customized X3s guys got that race them or serious desert/dune folks, all outfitted with lots of aftermarket equipment. Gear select is in its place. Rugged style radio in its slot plus what looks to me to be a two way radio control to communicate with others to the left of the steering wheel that you plug your helmet that would have a built in headset in. More of a racing type steering wheel. Plus the engine stop start button is in its place. Next the rear This is where things get a bit off (in one strong area) in usual R* fashion of course as no GTA vehicle is an exact replica Squared taillights(the whole rear in fact), built in turn signals and reverse lights. Yoshimura triangle triple exhaust (check spoiler) It also seems to have what seems to be the attempt to recreate the rear tow hook on the plate where the A arms meet up The one thing (and that strong area) that got me WAY off is well the stupidest thing I’ve ever seen They put fire extinguishers on instead of the shock reservoirs. Now I don’t know about you but fire extinguishers definitely ARE NOT shock reservoirs but whatever...dumb dumbs. As well it having these reservoirs means it’s based on an X3 X RS Turbo RR And from here we can see it has regular desert/rock tires on it Spoiler Next the front Spoiler Now from the front the X3 inspiration is most apparent The headlights are quite similar in design and similarly shaped The grille near exact. Practically the whole thing is near exact roll cage and all The rear intrusion bars are similar to the lonestar racing rear intrusion bar (see spoiler) We can see that it has a custom guard on the front consisting of two tubes of steel nothing special really. The doors also have lower inserts already. The rims are really just typical R* oversized dull looking versions of the ones on the maverick x3 X RS Turbo RR already minus all the beadlock n stuff Seats are closely modelled too Nagasaki logo in place of the maverick logo Spoiler Spoiler Good example here above of what tires the outlaw has in game The desert/rock style tires Will also do an engine bay comparison later either when it comes out or if I do the heist again Pretty sure its the usual 900cc Turbo three cylinder that pushes near 200 hp With a CVT belt transmission El Penguin Bobo, kovaandr, R3CON and 4 others 2 5 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

asadog2 Posted January 19, 2020 Share Posted January 19, 2020 (edited) Made a little video with the outlaw Also I looked at the engine and sadly saw that it has an air cooled naturally aspirated twin cylinder boxer engine and not a liquid cooled turbo inline 3 No fan or nothing just the engine, an oil cooler on the front, transmission and the driveshaft to the front The can for the exhaust can be seen at the back But it does look to be a 900cc-1 litre engine. Shame about the lack of mods, but I'm just glad it's not weaponized in some dumb way and there for barred from races. The new off road tires look excellent on them, especially the knobbies on the liveried tire. " Ik its not the best of vehicles, but i personally see this thing as a huge opportunity for rock* to expand on unique vehicles in their games. They could add one of these with a turret or make a snow mobile or a whole dunebuggy class on its own. This ccould bring cool and unique races to the game. what if they remodel the stadium again and turned it into an indoor motocross just for the dune buggies and offroads class it would cool seeing a diffrent variety of these vehicles in the game equally competing with each other. So personally i see this thing as something potential for the future of gta. If we ever get a new dirt bike it will take this things garage slot, but until then I'm sure I'll use this in the occasional off road race or when I have to sneak up on the Altruists. asadog2 Posted January 24, 2020 Share Posted January 24, 2020 (edited) I don’t really understand why everyone is complaining about this, honestly in terms of this being the first Side by Side in GTAO this is an excellent start and a way to go forward with others to possibly come. The top speed of 90 mph is all it really needs, does it really need to go any faster? The speed is realistic for it and you really don’t need to go any faster honestly. Also excellent acceleration really shows the power of it. Near 200 hp. The suspension is where this thing shines. It’s got some extreme travel on it and soaks everything up pretty well. Handling is excellent for what it is and you’ll only loose control when you’re going too fast and start to get into some big whoops and don’t control it, which is fine, that’s what happens in real life anyway. Excellent vehicle for climbing too, can negotiate even the steepest climbs from a stop. Love the engine sound, hate the engine model. Other than that the lack of customization is this SxSs only downfall. No roofs, no light bars, nothing. All in all apart from the lack of customization, no complaints from me. I honestly love it great top speed, great suspension, good looks etc. May I say it’s one of the best vehicles in the off road class and overcomes the other buggies in its class along with some of the larger vehicles. Just some other little things that don’t really bother me much is first off the engine model, the geared transmission and the fact that the doors open the wrong way and the player doesn’t reach for the strap on the inside of the door to unlock the latch.
