It's not a requirement for anything (to my knowledge), but this forum's elite penetrators should give the old lady a good backspace slap, and see if they can make it to 40k with a glitched cabinet.

 

(I had a single life long test and got to mere 3680, but I suck by design.)

About The Wizard's Ruin, is there some trick to get spiderbros to drop some loot? Cause when I've tried to grind some, but only like one in eight drops something. And yes, I've checked from the hidden side areas as well, at least as far as I can go, but nothing there either.

do you mean the small spider mobs? or the main spider boss?  if you kill the small spiders without letting them move into the middle a bit the loot drops off screen.

Penetrator seems impossibru until you just ace it without deaths.

 

 

My tips:

1) Don't panic.

2) Keep your eyes on the inner square.

3) Single shots worked better for me than double/variating rhythmwise.

4) When you have to go across/around, shoot any new spawns that are on the way. You can even stop and go back a tic or two if one spawns there. It'll still take less time than going to the first spawn and then coming back.

I was trying to make extra sure I had enough points the last time and they must have run out of treasure, cause they stopped dropping anything at all, even offscreen. xD

I tried to get the minibros to drop something in the middle of the screen as well, but they poor.

Took me ages to get from around 600k to 750k-ish which is where I was one bite away from death and chose to move to the final level.

Luckily I managed to get like a few k's over a mil

A friend of mine found this insane mode for space monkey 3. Its just even harder than normal, though I cant imagine why anyone would want that sh*t to be any harder. But its not a glitch. You can activate it with buttons, idk if I would call it a cheat code exactly but still interesting.

Congratulations! I must have been up to about 800-870k aiming for 900k when they started to have suspiciously empty pockets regularly and I kept at it for a while longer and realized there might even be a farming cap, so I decided to cash out before I got killed stupidly again and pressed on. xD

Another thing that I do is use an older controller so I can beat up on it a bit.

Yes, but I kept getting hit by the green beams at the last boss no matter how I moved or jumped, so there was one time I even ran out of lives there.

I had seen a few posts and perhaps one video talking about 800k being the number to reach before moving onto the final level, so I expected to come short with my 750k + change.

On the other hand it was like my third time to get past spidey boss on hard, so at least I could look forward to dying doing something else than looting the lootless.

There's only one situation in which you should panic, in Penetrator

That is when they start spawning on all sides at the same time. And even then you must repeat to yourself Be calm, think fast, see which one's coming first, take out any that are on your way to the top one, and move on

 

I once thought that using both the D pad and the joystick at the same time would make it faster but it actually makes things confusing. You gotta really build up some thumb muscle to go very fast with the D-Pad only
That's how I got to 32k on glitched mode, might do 40k glitched one day just for the lols

So if we already did this 7 Lives challenge in the Casino update we have to do it again? I am almost positive I did this challenge once already. Im pretty sure I completed it on the Chinese level on a 100% lucky run after I had failed trying it on level 2. Anyway if anyone else is trying to get this done I decided to make a little cheat sheet on where the objects are. For me I have trouble with the Bears. Theres a few challenging spots with Bears and objects...Some of the spots I may be off a bit...but the important ones I know I got right.

 

Pro tip : timeout the shots for the land animals. Once your landing shots you can shoot a volley of rounds and then you can aim at something else. You dont have to aim at it the entire time until it blows up...you can switch it at the perfect time. That one thing made my runs way better.

Well, this is great. So apparently R* decided to roll back data, just now. For example the no deaths Penetrator run to 40k I posted a screenshot from is nowhere to be found now, and plat is reversed back to gold, shirts gone too. Same goes for Wizard's Ruin as well. And I even know the point from where this data is from cause I got Friendzoned but not Nemesis that soon followed. And no, this is not just data not having been saved, cause I went offline in between and when I came back trophies and everything were still there. They rolled back data.

 

If anyone from R* is reading this, you done f*cked up now.

Yes, that and it's not 3 million but 1 million points for the Platinum Sword and just 950k in treasure for the Coin Purse, luckily. So around 800k of spider farming should be enough.
