ilovefreebird Posted January 6, 2020 Share Posted January 6, 2020 This thing performs the way its real-life counterpart does; it's not supposed to climb up walls, but traverse rough terrain that a typical off-road vehicle might have trouble with. It's perfect and I love it. Everyone is complaining about it, and the snow, but the two mixed have been an absolute blast. I was very happy to find out it could float like in real life, but very unhappy to find out that you can't get back into the driver's seat if it's floating (I took that selfie near the Raton Canyon bridge and then had to call a Dinghy to push my Zhaba back to shore). One last thing - that 2nd photo I posted almost looks like a guy playing with his big RC car. I just pressed the y button like normal however for me i can't get to the back by holding y on land or water. Pedinhuh Posted January 9, 2020 Share Posted January 9, 2020 (edited) You can get back in the Zhaba just fine if its floating, there's even a exclusive animation to our characters opening the door while swimming, but you have to be swimming near it, you won't get in it if you're on the roof of the thing(another missed opportunity to use that roof hatch). And yeah, I bought this thing..And yes it was disappointing as I imagine it to be, but at least I knew what I was getting myself into. Whatever, my unarmed military garage floor had a vacant spot and this fit in like a glove, its sitting nicely besides my Insurgent, Rumpo Custom and MW Mesa. Drive up ashore, kill all the mercs, get the scuba gear, snipe the enemies in the boats near the search area and drive your Zhaba to there, dive in the water to collect the explosive, the bullet resistant windows will keep you safe until you get back on land to shoot the helicopters down. But again it's pointless doing all of that when the Stromberg does a much job better at it. Casino heist setup isn't included since it takes place in freeroam and any pv can be used. I was expecting to to be smaller, like around APC size, but a bit shorter, but the thing is practically a monster truck. I always test my new offroaders by trying to get it to the top of mt. Chiliad and I'll say it wasn't the EASIEST run up the mountin I had but it did manage to make it. There was a few times it started sliding backwards and I hit the handbrake, then gave it some throttle and released the handbreak and continued the climb. In the end it made it all the way up the mountain so I can't REALLY complain. Again not my favorite vehicle I own (wish it was faster and wish the turn wasn't quite so crazy to work with when you're driving full speed but I get why it is based on how the vehicle works), but I think i'll end up keeping it. Maybe try out some missions that require some aquatic capabilities. Was messing with it more and yeah.. I can't get back in when it's in the water either... Here's a few pictures, don't mind the shift from day to night I stopped along the trail to take a bunch of pictures and only saved my favorites! (Assuming the car has any of these in the first place of course. Most of the DLC cars don't.) So you could only add these or remove these with glitches EXCEPT when the particular "extra" is also affected by a purchasable modification. Then the stock part is added with any purchase modifying this category. That's the case for the fenders, but the podium Zhaba is also missing the step plates and part of the lightbar on the roof, with no way to get these back outside of glitching.
