Well, if you want to be technical it is still a Cosworth, just not the one I thought it would be. Either way, this appears to be a facelifted Retinue based on the Group 4 Rally MKII Escort. 

 

Price: $1,620,000-1,215,000 (trade)

 

Description:

Some sequels try to reinvent what's come before, brasher rehashes of the originals. Vapid knew exactly what they were aiming for with the Retinue MKII - its predecessor's soft curves were replaced with hard angles and the overpowered engine and rally ready suspension came back with a vengeance. This is an American car for the European boy racer market that feels all too familiar, and there's no shame in that.

Mk2 Retinue is literally a Mk2 Escort.

 

It is Cossie but sadly it seems to be stuck with some racing seats.

 

I'll buy because f*ck it, why not?

Sounds exactly like the original Retinue, then - really good resemblance, let down slightly by not being able to have period-authentic stock seats. :sigh:

 

Rear lights look more like the Mk1, too - so it's almost the equal and opposite to the original Retinue (which blended a bit of Mk2 into the Mk1 look). Might get this - depends how much garage space I have left after the Asbo and Kanjo (and I really ought to get a Nebula Turbo eventually)...

This could have been a Uranus or Comet Classic but no, let's just add a slight variation of the Retinue. They make the absolute strangest choices sometimes I swear... at least we got an F1 car and a Sultan Classic.

This thing feels so much faster than the og retinue. It feels almost sports car quick. The tires have really nice grip, and really compliments the jolty suspension.

All of the liveries (there are also a couple of generic white/black stripes. Weirdly, there aren't many rally inspired modifications in terms of rally lights, mudflaps, etc.

Getting mixed feelings on this one.

I'm not a fan of the stock from bumper so I put this one but I'm still not feeling it, too generic and those airvents on top of it annoys me, the unremovable fender flares ruins stock builds of any kind.

Interior is lifted from the Retinue Mk1, I really see nothing new here but honestly I shouldn't expect any different anyway.

Doesn't look so bad paired with it's older brother, but the lack of mudflaps is criminal.

Not a fan of the rear bumper cut-outs either, but it's not so bad.

 

Still, in terms of performance this is blazingly fast, no doubt it's raceworthy, only question is how far it stacks up in the class.

I'm actually liking this more than the OG Retinue, but why are there no exhaust options? Also, those fenders are quite irritating.

 

Nonetheless, very fun car and looks great.

not much love for this one ? the Rebla GTS´s thread got more pics and pages than this beauty !

well , here is mine , I changed a few things after taking the pictures ( got rid of the pearlescent and changed the hood)

that oil filter in the front disturbs me a bit , but that came with the best front bumper option ... take it as a registration plate ( or plate holder) ... 

it performs well IMO , reminds me more of the Savestra than a OG Retinue while driving !

1.2 mil . is a bit expensive though ( it´s even the trade price )

Actually I dont think the Retinue mk2 is the worse... What about the Yosemite dude?? I was pissed when I saw it, like where is my freakin ZR350 R*? lol

I’d like to see one done up like a Group 4 car, if possible.

white primary and secondary, stock bumpers, plastic grille, dash dodger cage, first ducktail spoiler, standard suspension, and bronze fujiwara wheels

I agree tbh. I dunno..there is just something missing. I love the Retinue, but this really hasn't grabbed my attention.

Well I mean, it's a cool car, a vintage car, so Imma buy it. Its just not very different from the Retinue Mk1. I dont really understand the point of them adding it in the first place.

It feels faster than the original Retinue and I like this one's boxier appearance a little more than the original as well. It could do with more options to better resemble a bog stock MKII Escort though, something that was also a gripe about the MKI Retinue. The racing seats should've been optional, just like the lack of a front bumper and the fender flares. But for what it is, it does decently convey the aura of a 70's Group A Rally car but I'll have to see how it fairs on my "Budget Rally Racer" series of tracks later on. 

 

Exterior: 7.5/10 Too much of its stock body work is too racey to make it a regular civilian version, leaving you to go either the full blown rally route (which you still can't really do since it lacks fog lamps) or make it a homologation special. 

 

Interior: 6/10 It fits the car, but is way overused.
