Mister Pink Posted October 2, 2020 Author Share Posted October 2, 2020 This being console-less these last two weeks is a getting to me. I wasn't gaming much anyway, so I thought it would be easy. But now that I don't have the choice to game makes me want to game even more! Well, I kind of new this would happen and force me to be more careful with saving money for a Series X. So far, I have nothing saved as another thing came up. But 3 weeks before release I should be able to save and scrape by. It's going to be a challenge as I'm a mature student. I used to think like that but China electronics are killing it in the last 5-10 years. DJI, Xaomi, Lenovo, Huawei. I've been getting most of my photography and phone gear from China the last 5 years, camera flashes, and hardware. It's a 2 thirds of the price and even half the price of other, more established brands but it really good stuff. But yeah a 1000+ is a different story altogether. No doubt Samsung and LG score highest and come first in comparisons. But Hisense as some say could be like the new LG. They were once called GoldStar until they rebranded in the 90's they had a hard time breaking into the US market. But now they could well be on their way to be a more respected brand like LG became. I can get this for €399 in a bricks and mortar shop. I'm seriously considering it. I'm also looking at LG and Samsung but HiSense has caught my attention. It will be my first foray into 4K so, there's that to consider too. Of course, I'll be happy with the first upgrade in about 10 years. My previous TV was an LG and the downgraded a bit to my bro's Sony. It's got some damage on it. I think it's 43" so, I want to go bigger as well. 50/55" would be nice. My phone, old lap top, countless consoles etc all feel warm/hot after extended amounts of use. All that energy has to go somewhere. The "ceiling" is the only exit for the heat. But just a refresher on how the console is designed to dissipate heat gives me full confidence. Cooling and airflow informed the design decisions for this console probably more than any other console Microsoft has produced. Time-stamped for air-flow/cooling segment... I imagine the cooling on One X or PS5 is that it's air is taken in and dissipated from almost all sides. Or in the PS5's case it's spread by either side of the tower but the whole length of the tower. But with a Series X, it's more condensed and linear. From bottom to top if vertical or left to right if horizontal. And it works after you turn off the console and turn it on. Kinda new the second part but it's just so impressive to see. Honest, it will change how I use my gaming time. Being able to keep a persistent pause state with something like the Trials games while jumping between big AAA story games means I will clock in more time with the Trials game since I dont have to load and/or sacrifice the AAA and then having to reload that after a few minutes in Trials. *talk about a run on. It's the true definition of "lacking convenience and efficiency to look cool and unique". And it does not even look cool if you ask me. I have no idea why some people like it but different tastes I guess. The original PS4 was absolutely slick in terms of style. It looked unique and convenient at the same time. Though overall I always prefer black to white when it comes to consoles so maybe a black PS5 could look better to me. I don't understand why Xbox removed the tweet. I mean breaking balls is always fun from both sides. People can't even make a joke these days without people getting triggered. Compare this to back in 2013. Basically Xbox is enhancing the performance and visuals of games without the need of developers. Fallout 4 is now running at 60fps on Series X!
