I'm hoping we'll be able to use the shack as a spawning point when getting online

It would seem like a no-brainer... but then we can’t spawn at our camps, and that would seem like a no-brainer too.

The prices of the new stuff will be interesting. Collector broke the cash economy completely so I wouldn't be shocked if we see $2000-$3000 items if not higher. Or, a lot of the stuff will be locked behind gold.

On top of that, I wonder what the rank thresholds and gold buy-in are going to be for the Outlaw Pass - hopefully the same again, but I suspect they'll have beefed up everything, considering how quickly most people got through the last one...

The first outlaw pass was advertised as 'severely discounted', so I imagine the next one will cost double.

That wouldn't surprise me, or that the next one after that will be double that and so on and so forth.

I kinda would be, because Rockstar would rather cater to new players who aren’t depending on an online map to cash in collections, after starting Online just a few weeks ago, their new PC player base. Rockstar wouldn’t want to scare them

off with high prices this early in their game.

Maybe not spawning at our camps isn't such a bad thing since we would never know where or for that matter if we would spawn at all.

Another delivery business... didn't we have enough of this in GTA Online? I think I'm done with this game for now. Online team is lacking creativity.

Honestly, considering horses can come close to 1000, and some clothing surpasses 200, I wouldn't be surprised if the distillery shack is 2000 and the speakeasy near 10000.

They could also have the base model of each a gift/unlock as part of the story missions coming with this dlc. The customizing the two buildings could be the expensive part.

Gating the new novelties/toys behind expensive pricing would be in line with what Rockstar has been doing with GTA:O so that wouldn't surprise me neither.

However, with only the collector having a steady source of income, the grind could turn people off from the new content.

They could expand the map, improve existing gameplay, maybe add something creative like base building for your gang and ranch building. Ranch management gameplay could be really fun. Make it like all those restaurant management simulator games where you see your ranch from top down view and make it run. For something like moonshiner role they could add new plants and stuff, so you can craft batches of unique moonshine and sell it, but we all know it's going to be trader 2.0 with moonshine skin and slightly more money. I just wish there was more interactivity in this game. Everything feels so shallow in GTAO and RDO. Like you can own a house in GTAO, but who cares if it looks exactly the same for all players? There's a big map in RDO, but who cares if the only difference between regions is the background you've seen millions times before and animals with pelts that cost the same everywhere, so it doesn't matter. Why not make certain rare animals from one region cost more in certain places? This would create interesting economy. They could actually make Armadillo more dangerous with snowstorms, so you have to make a fireplace when one happens, or find a shelter, but balance it by making animals there spawn with 3 stars way more often, or add a trader there that buys pelts and meat for much more money (would make sense, because people in a region like that would be more desperate to survive). Cougar pelts are probably useless for people in Valentine, but perhaps collectors in Saint Denis would pay much more for them. They could add an actual MMO like marketplace and add different tiers of items, but of course they are afraid of exploits. There's a lot of ideas, but Rockstar is always going the safest route.

Not hatin just sayin, aside from the larkin gloves and the nosalida shirt the unlocked clothing from the 1st outlaw pass was rather underwhelming. Hope to see MORE cool stuff.

Generally the businesses in GTAO have been fairly cheap to buy, but expensive to upgrade, with interior customizations and equipment/staff/security upgrades that really add up. The moonshining business will presumably follow this model. I'm going to hold off until I see what the daily utility bill for this thing is.

There will certainly be gating, but it will be with gold rather than dollars.  Just like the first 3 roles.

Gating with dollars is useless to Rockstar from a business point of view because it forces people to engage in activity that isn’t monetised.   Gating with gold encourages at least some people to shell out actual money.  The shack will almost certainly be a gold only buy in.

With the first three professions, the grind wasn’t really to do with money, it was the ranking up within the profession.

I started frontier pursuits with a few hundred dollars, but I was able to buy pretty much everything I wanted as soon as or very shortly after I unlocked it.  The outlaw pass probably helped a bit.

I didn’t (and haven’t) bought everything, but I never really had to save up for any of the essentials.  I expect I’ll be able to buy a speakeasy as soon as I’ve reached the rank requirement.

I wager future supply missions are gonna have us robbing the Braithwaites for supplies to make our own moonshine. We possibly rob them blind so badly that we leave Dutch's gang with nothing to take themselves. Funny when you think about.

Oh yes for sure, gold will be used for the role, but I was more talking in the sense of purchasing the property and customizing it. Thousands of RDO$ could easily stack there, unless they lock certain cosmetic features (themes, furnitures, etc) behind gold too.

I agree. The Frontiersman neckerchief is the only item I've used.

The trouble with battle pass cosmetic unlocks is that even if there are a few cool items, everyone ends up using them, which kills the cool factor for me.

Bandit/Robber:

+Missions involve holding up a train and robbing NPC passengers, or cracking a safe on the train

+Robbing stagecoaches

+Robbing stores

+Finding wealthy industrialist NPC's in a crowded area who will only remain for x amount of time and robbing them

+Robbing banks

Rancher:

+Herd cattle

+Fend off rustlers

+Break in wild horses

+Bull riding

+Scout the wilderness for breeds of horses and bring them back for breeding

That's just what came to me right now.You can do a lot with RDRO that you can't do in GTAO.

The whole Go A, then Go B gameplay loop has been done to DEATH in SP (GTA series and RDR) and GTAO is mostly running other peoples errands, endlessly. RDRO was actually fresh when you look at collecting involving a little more sleuthing and Bounty Hunter being more involved with capturing, rather than killing your target, as well as tracking them down. We have non-lethal means and tools in RDRO, in GTAO everything revolves around shooting something.

RDRO can be so much more than ride from A to B, collect the Y, ride to A. Repeat.

Doubt it will be as much as that, all the other roles had a buy in of 15 gold and as its an extension of the trader role I would be surprised if it's much more that 15 again, 25 max i would imagine. Might not even need any gb but have to lay out a few grand for the building and it's customisation's.

Or, you won’t be getting your gold back in the next one. The first pass was actually free if you leveled up to 70. Pay 35gb, get 35gb rewarded.
Maybe this time there won’t be gold bar rewards. Pay 35gb, lose 35gb.
