Just to clear this up, you've ripped TV shows to avi (or mpg, mkv, whatever) and you've named them like this:

The TV Show - Season 1 Episode Title 1.avi

for example, and you've listed them in your Media Library in Windows Media Player 12 and you want it to display the Episode Title etc in Media Player.

If you've done this then it probably wouldn't detect all the information you want as it won't be saved in the metadata and won't find the information 'online' as it's a custom file. The best thing to do is to not do this in Windows Media Player 12 (which by the way is the worst one they've done so far as it's more unstable than previous versions in my onion).

Find the files in Explorer and the select all the files that have common data (Same season, TV Titles etc) then right click -> Properties -> Details tab, and then edit the info that is the same. Unfortunately you would still need to name each episode individually.

After I replied I noticed your edit, so ignore.

This could go in the iThread, but I didn't want to double-post to bump it and felt like it could be poste din here as well.

Should I use Safari as a browser on a Mac or continue to just using Safari on it?

What's the equivalent to the Delete key on a Mac. I know there is infact the delete key that is backspace/delete... but when I try to erase a letter that is ahead of my cursor position, what key do I use?

Example:

Interest|ping
Say the "|" is my cursor and I want to erase "p". Do I have to move the cursor ahead of the "p" and press Delete or can I erase it like the Del key in Windows?

1. You can continue usings Safari as it is considered best for Mac.

2. Not sure about this but either one of the below may help.

If you're using an extended keyboard look for a delete key with an X inside a box on it. You can use that or

Press and hold the fn key and hit the delete button.

Hope this helps. smile.gif

Windows 7 build 7600 x86.

I though that ram fixed the problem, now I got another blue screen but with unknown following module.

On Sun 02.09.2012 17:07:41 GMT your computer crashedcrash dump file: C:\Windows\memory.dmpThis was probably caused by the following module: Unknown () Bugcheck code: 0x50 (0xFFFFFFFF81C030C0, 0x0, 0xFFFFFFFF84164795, 0x0)Error: PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREABug check description: This indicates that invalid system memory has been referenced. This appears to be a typical software driver bug and is not likely to be caused by a hardware problem. A third party driver was identified as the probable root cause of this system error. It is suggested you look for an update for the following driver: Unknown . Google query: Unknown PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA

edit: f*ck this sh*t, I am re-installing windows and lose all 800gb worth of data, great job microsoft with your 32 bit version.

As sivispacem said that exe is not part of Microsoft's install of 7 but it is needed for the 32-bit version of 7 to see more RAM. The problem is that it's no longer supported by the author and can be come corrupt over time.

This is exclusive to the 32-bit version of Win7.

My suggestion is if your CPU is 64-bit then just install that. Seeing as how you do a lot of work with Photoshop and who knows what other programs like it you'll want a ton of RAM anyway and Win7 64-bit is what you really need in that case.

@fgcarva1

That depends on the keyboard. If you're talking about a laptop then Fn+Delete. If you're talking about a full size keyboard then there is a separate DEL key over with the PageUp/Down and so on like what you might be use to on a PC.

My friend has D LINK DIR 615 router and 70% of the time, his Xbox 360 Slim won't connect first time (wirelessly). He has to test connection on the Xbox and then it'll work. All other wireless devices work fine. Any ideas?

I reinstalled Windows on my laptop about a month and a half ago. Ever since then, I've been having problems with watching videos on the internet. Without changing any quality settings, my CPU usage automatically goes up to 100% and then the video begins to lag hardcore for no apparent reason. I'm not running any other programs at the time either, so I don't understand why this is happening. I've updated all my drivers but no luck. Anyone have any idea?

This also happens on my laptop. Never happened at all until one day when I decided to watch a 720p video on YouTube (I always watch videos at 720p) and it was lagging like hell. Also noticed my CPU usage was near 100% as well. I use Google Chrome which has Flash integrated and I've updated that. Strangely enough this happened about a month and a half ago but I did not reinstall Windows tounge.gif

Tried disabling (or perhaps enabling) hardware acceleration? Right click on the flash video -> settings -> display.

Holy hell it fixed it, I can watch 720p again! However I still can't view YouTube videos in fullscreen without my laptop sh*tting itself and lagging even worse.

Though you said, you've updated your drivers, I'd suggest you to update your Graphic Driver once again. This is just my suggestion since the problem is usually caused due to lack of integrated graphics driver.

Was about to post this in the Gen Chat then remember there's one here and probably more suited here.

Why is when I try to load a video on Youtube in HD it won't load all the way? For instance I want to watch a video but I'll wait and browse and do other stuff for it to buffer so it won't happen when watching it. However after a like loading 30% it just stops and won't load anymore until I'm near that point in the video. I've been observing my computer monitors (CPU/RAM .etc) and on my network monitor I see it downloading then just stops. What is the cause of this? Cookies I'm guessing? I'm using Chrome on Mac OS. Seems to be a HD problem, the video will load all the way on 480p and lower.

Oh man, I'm so indecisive sad.gif .

What do I buy? SAPPHIRE 7770 1GB GDDR5 GHz Edition Overclocked at $249 or SAPPHIRE 6850 at $229, or SAPPHIRE 6870 at $265?

Yes, you will cry when you see the prices, but: this is Argentina, this is the government here.

btw, I'll be using a Cooler Master 500W PSU with the following system:

ECS AT780GM-A

AMD Athlon II X2 250 3.0GHz (Upgrading soon to a Phenom II X4)

3GB RAM DDR2 800MHz

HDD Western Digital 160GB

IMHO either HD6870 or HD6850. Both are better value for money than HD7770.

Los Santos Pedestrian

I want to squeeze out some more performance out of my weak processor by overclocking it, before I'm able to replace it, which might be around Christmas. I have two questions:

1. Is it safe to overclock my processor? It's an AMD Athlon 64 X2 4000+ with its original fan, and is currently running at its default 2.1 GHz.

2. I don't even know how to overclock a CPU. I don't want it to be extremely overclocked to like 3 GHz, just to make my gaming experience a little better. Anyway, could I have help with that?

Overclocking has a lot of risks, man. I'm not much knowledged in this but you better ask some experts around here before you proceed.

Read around google "overclocking AMD Athlon 64x2 4000+.

Do that to make sure you can OC it, I believe you can.

Then make sure your mobo has OC capabilities, then come back and you might be able to learn.

I know this question is over asked, but I need to know if my computer can play GTA IV, before I spend money on the PC version and find out it's unplayable.

Here are my Specs:

OS: Windows 7 64-bit

Processor: Intel 2.2GHz

Memory: 4GB

GC: Intel HD 3000 (1696 MB Approx.)

Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask. But, any help would be appreciated.

Nope, it can't. It will run poorly even on low details.

My mic input doesn't work after not restarting my computer for about 2 days. I've re installed sound drivers, nothing works except restarting the computer. Then it works. How can I make it work right now without restarting?

What am I testing on another computer?

Your patience perhaps wink.gif

It could that you've had you computer on two days straight so to me it could that the power management settings are switching the thing off, but not allowing it to turn on again.

Right Click My Computer -> Properties -> Device Manager (depending on your Windows version it's in there somewhere) then locate your mic in the list -> Right Click -> Properties -> (should hopefully be) Power Management settings -> Untick Power Saving Mode and Untick Let this device wake the computer.

Hopefully that should be it, if not let us know

Once I get into the device list, there's nothing for my audio input, there's only Conexant Smart Audio, and Intel Display Audio, and when I right click them and go to properties there's no power management options! I already reset the computer so the input works right now, but next time it stops working I'll try putting the computer in High Performance mode.

Do you guys think this laptop will handle Guild Wars? The minimum spec on the website is:

Intel® Core™ 2 Duo 2.0 GHz, Core i3, AMD Athlon™ 64 X2 or better

2 GB RAM

NVIDIA® GeForce® 7800, ATI Radeon™ X1800, Intel HD 3000 or better (256MB of video RAM and shader model 3.0 or better)

25 GB available HDD space

Broadband Internet connection

Keyboard and mouse

He has a laptop from 2007 which has 2GB ram, Windows Vista 32-bit, some 2.2Ghz Core2Duo and onboard graphics. The onboard graphics chipset is Intel Express 965 which has Shader Model 3 but I'm guessing it'll be a very laggy if he got the game. It's not going to run very well is it?

Why don't you just check yourself? You can just go onto http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri/ and look for GW2 in the drop down menu, let it install the needed stuff and let it do its thing and after it will tell you how the system will fair. Just checked the site itself, and it seems to be giving me an error code every time I try to go to the site...odd. Hopefully its just down for a little while.

Best thing is to try and replicate it again, but this time set your computer to High Performance mode first.

@Topic:

I've just re-lived my misspent childhood and managed to get Tie Fighter working on my computer via Dosbox, unfortunately it's useless without a joystick so can anyone recommend any good joysticks that you've had experience with not just cause randompleb123 from some shopping site says yay. I've spotted this one which looks good, but if you've got any recommendations I'm all ears.

I know I've said about randompleb123 and really I wouldn't know any of you if I walked past you in the street, but the interactivity of this place will make a better opinion, nahmsayn.
