Hello, i recently lost some contacts in my phone after some maintenance error, does anyone knows how to recover our lost contact after we reset our phone to the factory settings?

only way is probably if you had the numbers saved to the sim card or to google account if android phone like DEALUX said.

Did you check if the numbers are on the sim?

Is Fast Startup mode good or bad?

The BIOS setting? If it actually speeds up the booting up process, yes. I think in the past I've had some issues where some USB devices (like keyboard) would fail to initialize but I haven't had that issue at all on Windows 11 interestingly enough.

It's a pain if you need to boot into safe mode or switch boot devices.

This depends on the game you want to modify, most likely you need to search for game-specific tools.

Vulkan is a competitor to DirectX. It's cross platform and open source, whereas DX12 isn't. Whether or not you'll be using it is application dependent. Most apps just use DX12, some will give you the option of using either, and some are Vulkan only.

For the most part, you'll get marginally better performance on low-end hardware with Vulkan, but better fidelity and more features with DX12.

Is there really a big difference in fidelity

The APIs for things like temporal antialiasing are by and large much better in DX12, as are those underpinning things like volumetric lighting IME.

There's a clear difference in titles that use both like RDR2 on the same settings for me.

I've also found that DX12 has more stable framerates, even if the averages are lower.

Strange. RDR 2 was more stable on Vulkan for me. DX 12 was stuttering a lot and also had lots of graphic glitches

It's somewhat hardware dependant too.

External harddrives going into standby after a short time. It's annoying. So, I couldn't fix it. It seemed to happen only with this one Seagate drive I have which is mains powered. I use Keep Alive HD to basically keep it from going into standby. Is there anyway to change it through CMD prompt to stop it from going into standby. It kind of seems ridiculous that I'm using a 3rd party app to keep my HD functioning the way I want. As far as I'm aware it wasn't like this at the start, it just happened after a  Windows update. I could be wrong though.

Control Panel>Power Options>etc. im not sure how it's all called in the english version. Maybe the pics help somehow, even tho it's german.

You can enter minutes after wich harddrives go into standby, i guess entering something like 9999999 makes them run forever, or maybe entering 0 works too. Just try it out, maybe it works but maybe not. I don't mind if my HDD's go into standby. But i didn't see an option for specific HDD's, i guess that is meant for all drives then.

Which wireless mouse would you recommend? Currently I'm leaning toward the Razer Viper Ultimate. The Logitech stuff looks too bulky to me and they don't have as many features as I would like for the price.

For Razer you have the Viper Ultimate, Deathadder v2 Pro and Basilisk Ultimate. Those are the ones with the optical switches (stops double clicking issues) and their top tier wireless tech.

For Logitech you have their "Lightspeed" branded mice, if you're looking at the RVU then stuff like the G305, G303 and the G Pro Wireless might be worth looking at, if you haven't already.

There's some other stuff from a few brands like Corsair, Glorious, Kone and more but nothing that's really gonna top the Razer and Logitech mice for wireless performance and build quality.

I've got the G Pro Superlight, it's a decent mouse and has a "safe" shape if you will, had it for around three months now and no problems or double clicking or connectivity issues which i had with the previous G pro wireless. It's just expensive.

Razers mice are usually on sale and i think the Glorious mice are reasonably cheap and come with kailh switches which i prefer over omrons. I think they've had QC issues in the past, though. Newer batches should be fine.

I have the Pro and it's a good shape. Have not had any issues in the 2+ years I've been using it so the wireless would be a good upgrade path but the Razer is so much cheaper (on sale) that it's impossible to overlook.

Not sure about prices where you are but I got the Ultra with 65% off RRP.  Think it came in comfortably under £50.

$127 Amazon price. The Viper Ultimate is $86. Both lowest prices I could find. I guess the Razer mouse would work with the color scheme of my keyboard better as well.

Anyone have an idea why a PC is suddenly slow after a Windows update? It's on Windows 10. The PC is only used to run my CNC mill, and has nothing on it apart from Firefox and the CNC controller software.

It's a micro ATX form factor, with an i5-4690K, 8GB ram. HDD (not SSD). Temperatures are fine, the PC is isolated from the workshop dust/dirt. The CNC software requirements are far below the specs of the PC.

It was working fine a few days ago. Now, it takes longer to boot up. When it finally enters the desktop screen, the background remains black, so does the task bar (time/date and Windows icon remains visible however). The black remains for a few minutes, during which everything seems to move slower. For example, opening Firefox would take 30 seconds or so, even clicking the Windows logo to open the Start Menu takes a few seconds before it finally opens. Typing on the keyboard works, but the input doesn't show on the screen until after a few seconds.

The only thing that has changed on it was a Windows update that it automatically downloaded/installed when I went to run the CNC machine. It seemed to get faster the longer I left it on, but I got annoyed about 15 minutes in, so I don't know if it gets back to normal eventually. I tried restarting it, same problem. It wasn't like this before the update.

Thanks man, going to try that out. I think that's what I was originally trying to do but some drives weren't showing up due to some known bug with Windows. A guy has made some CMD line to fix it and it at least showed the drives but after an update it went back to the old way.

Yeah, I don't have an option to change the sleep settings for external hard disks.. as you can see the option below.

ngcb184

I'm using Windows 10. Haven't the option yet to get Windows 11, even though I'm sure I'm compatible.

I'll keep using Keep Alive HD for the moment.
