Wrong VRAM is a Windows thing and depends on what "counter" devs use to check for VRAM. Shadow of the Tomb Raider does the same. I have a 6 GB card and SOTTR shows the exact same value as RDR2.

I think Windows reserves 1 GB for itself, which is a ton. Maybe it caused issues using all the VRAM with Windows suggesting there's 1 less GB available, so they used Windows' VRAM counter instead of getting it from the video card profile. I dunno.

This is awful, GTA V had no such problems, I still menage settings I want in 1440p but only in DX12, Vulkan shows me 2.8 GB and DX12 3.4 GB.

Rip people with GTX 1060 3 GB though, no ultra textures for them.

Maybe they made the measurement differently with GTA V as that was mostly made with Windows 7 in mind and not 10 where Microsoft has changed a lot of their graphics infrastructure. The fact this happens in more games reveals it's not Rockstar cutting 1 GB for whatever reason though is more my point.

I see they fixed a crash resulting in corrupt saves. I've read posts about people complaining about that so let's hope it helps, a save corruption is really bad.

Has this reset the ini file? I still have mine read-only with the edits that preserve the mud textures etc.

Nope, this patch doesn't reset the settings.

Yep, some GTX 970 specific issues were fixed. In that case they may have elected to show 3.4 GB so it doesn't use the slowest 512 MB too much. Pretty clever if so tbh.

I have 1060 3GB and I force Ultra Textures through system.xml, going 300+mb over vram limit, works fine. Though, last night, it said I was using like 2809mb, and today after the patch, it says i'm using 2929, when no settings changed..

At least it wasn't an alpha on console for a year.
