I’ve only seen 2 and I’ve accepted the invite and nothing I shot a guy and took his dead body to the sheriff, it was pure luck. He appeared to have no idea what was going on or its possible his menus had not registered. I successfully avoided 5 players trying to collect my bounty. You have to be willing to constantly deal with npc bounty hunters to attain and keep a high bounty which is very annoying and not worth the effort. Also, you cannot do a lot of activities when you have a high bounty. I think over $10. A player must have over a $20 bounty for other nearby players to receive and be invited to hunt the player. When another player is hunting you, you are given a large yellow circle in which to move about. Other players cannot see you while you are in the circle on their minimap. I think if they find you, you appear on the minimap. So, its kindve critical to check the players on your minimap, before you accept the hunt a player invite. Out of the 5 hunters I avoided, I only saw the hunter on my minimap 1 time. Edited November 27, 2019 by CosmicBuffalo Ragnar Stalheim
LooseCanon
So I click on the invite then start looking for a yellow circle or something on the map?

LooseCanon
Dunno what happened on mine then, I accepted invite then nothing At least I know now
Ragnar Stalheim
I've seen a few since the update. They usually disappear before I can even acknowledge the invite. I did get one however, the wanted player had just spawned in and didn't know what was happening so I shot him and hauled his body to the jail. 8 hours ago, CMCSAVAGE said: I'm amazed you've been able to get 10 player bounties! That was my first player bounty ever, besides an earlier one that didn't work when I tried to accept. I haven't seen one since. CaliMeatWagon
Are you supposed to be able to bring them in alive? I heard that you could and they spend time in jail. Edited December 1, 2019 by CaliMeatWagon

I've been thinking of starting a second character just so I can be a "player bounty". I wonder if the bounty is erased when you are killed. Constantly maintaining a $20.00 bounty would be a chore though. I did bring in a dead player bounty today! Some jerk was griefing people at the Tumbleweed butcher. I was shooting it out with him and his posse and he acquired the bounty during the action. I was actually moving in to close on him with a shotgun and slow and steady, the bounty notification went up and I acknowledged and shot him and hauled him to the jail within 10 seconds. Sent a message to him,... "Your griefing pays well.....for me!" Edited December 2, 2019 by Ragnar Stalheim CaliMeatWagon and No Homing
No Homing
I don't know if they fixed this yet, but there is or was a glitch when accepting an invite to a player bounty it sometimes won't start the hunt, but the player with the bounty will lose their bounty when they join a new session. There'll be a message saying you have been charged for leaving jail early (the game thinks the hunt started and you tried to avoid it by leaving the game) But I have been helping friends with player bounties when there was a daily to do so, we had no issues so far. I also found out that like with NPC bounty hunters you can use L2 onto the bounty hunter and surrender, but with player bounty hunters this is actually just a way to show you're willing to come peacefully. Once they hogtie you there's a 2nd prompt to surrender and this will actually teleport you to jail without having to be put on horseback and carried to jail. What's even better about this, other than saving time, your time in jail will be doubled. If you surrender with a 20$ bounty to a player, you'll spent 40 seconds in jail. This is extremely useful for the award that requires you to spent 20 minutes in jail. With that being said, whenever there's a daily to do a player bounty or if you just want to try this out, and you're on PS4, hit me up, my name is MrCostari. I'll take any chance to make progress for that award. Ragnar Stalheim
zibies
This does NOT work on PC! I have tryed with a friend several times now!! I have a 20USD bonty, he is lvl 20 bonty hunter (lvl 12 required) Once I got close to him, he got the inv for the event, but nothing happened, and next time i logged in my bounty was gone. The last 2 times we tryed, he never got the inv. is anyone having the same problem? (On PC)
