Awkward movements and handling? Input Lag?

Ok perhaps i am the only one that feels this, but i have this weird feeling that something's wrong with this game whole movement system. I premise that i'm unfortunately a console player, so i don't know if this apply for pc versions of the game, but, long story short: in 2016/2017 i used to play GTA Online a lot, and i never felt issues in the movement system, but i never used the FPS mode, i didn't know why but i thought it was because of the limited "view", which is disadvantageous compared to the classic TPS mode. In the last year i began to play a lot of other games in order to gain a wider knowledge, i played both FPS and TPS: Far Cry 3, Outlast, Cod4, Mafia 2, all the Uncharteds, The Last of Us and God of War. When last week i played GTA online again, gameplay felt utterly awkward in every way, i tried to modify the settings and button assignments, but some issues remained: looking around feels imprecise, movements and imprecise, jumping inaccurate, aiming uncomfortable. It took sometime before i understood the real issue, but i think this game suffer from a heavy input lag, i just found this video that demonstrates my doubts. 

 

i don't know how much it's present but i constantly feel castrated while doing anything, and lack of game mechanics like a simple Shoulder Swap or Crouching doesn't hel or what do you think about this?

Another thing that i don't understand is how poor FPS mode feels, i played some basic FPS online games like Rainbow Six, Battlefield Hardline and COD 4, and GTA 5 feels so bad compared to them, some problems can be the too fast moving speed and recoilless guns, but i think is to impute to the input lag either.

 

P.s I fiddled around a lot in the settings in order to have improve this issues: first of all options are messy and button assignments are weird, enabling different sets enable you to actually run and gun, but sprinting becomes impossible, how the world was this design?

Are you able to post your in-game settings?  

I know you said you've toyed with them, but I'm curious. I have a feeling something is way off.

I heard imput lagg on OG GTA is significantly worse than NG/PC. Dont know if this is a specific OG GTA issue or if theres generally more input lagg on OG. That video is OG so is not related to your issue.

 

Did you by any chance get a new TV after playing GTA last? A friend we race with got a new TV which tried to manipulate the picture of slightly older games (I guess because of resolution) like GTA to make it look better. This caused huge imput lagg.

i had the same problem on a different tv than i was used to. in the a/v or picture quality settings i had to select "game" setting or else there was ruinous lag from the controller to the avatar.  try putting tv on "game" setting. hope that works. good luck.

I always played with the same tv, a 2008 samsung, and never had issues related with input lag with any other game, the feeling i have while playing gta online is the same of the video.

Also what type of button assignment do you suggest for playing in the most fast paced way possible, is still can't find a comfortable one.

Depends what you're aiming for, but for just about everything aside from deadzone, I have it set to either max or 1 or 2 bars down from max.

Deadzone I set to zero.

I like to fast EWO with L3, so I've swapped R3 with L3 in the PS button assignment section.
