This patch did not change the version in system.xml (I haven't tested it yet but it should mean the settings aren't reset) and is only available on the Xbox One other than PC, so this seems to be a minor maintenance patch.

Just logged in and can confirm: settings are preserved.

Just logged in on PC and can confirm patch broke my game, AGAIN....

 

Getting real old, every patch causes a new crash, can't interact with people, horse, plants etc.. Hit esc to bring up menu all I get is the faded out pic no menus. Graphics set to default.

 

Buggiest POS I've ever owned...

 

System:

I7-8700k @3.7GHZ

32 GB Ram

GTX 1070 Hybrid (Water and air cooled)

Driver 441.34

Build 1207.77

Looks like this is entirely aimed at crashes. Let's see if it helps people, they do say improvements and not "fixed" so expect more crashes.

Alright, never seen before "Game Error" occured, game crashed. I haven't had a single crash since last week (when I switched to vulkan), now after the update, I got a crash after 15-20 mins of gameplay.

 

Let's hope it was just a coincidence and they did not introduce any new issues.

How broken can a game be when using the default input device crashes it? 😨

Used to be able to run this game without any major issues. After this update every time i load into my save i get "Game Error. Reboot and restart blablabla."

 

So a patch whose only function was to fix crashes breaks my game and makes it crash... What a job!

Perfect, I verified game files and now it crashes on startup...

 

When it first came out I played for hours with zero issues, since then every patch causes new problems!

So since I played red dead 2 on my pc I only had 1 crash. 

 

Now since this new update has rolled out. I wont be able to even get in the game. As Soon as I choose to play story it keeps loading and crashes after a while.... 

 

man this game is so great, but this crashes ruins the whole thing.

 

hope to get a fix very Soon

Just like last patch, this one made some improvements on performance in my case.

 

I gained +5 FPS on snow and marshland areas in the benchmark. Valentine and Saint Denis remains unchanged though. 

 

I had some minor artifacting sometimes in some locations and those seems to have been fixed with this patch.

Has anything been done to address the low frame rate issues with the i7-9700k? I understand it was mostly an issue with the game at 1080p, and I anticipate I'm gonna run it at 4k, but I was hoping the entire situation would be resolved.

The game for me only crashed with dx12 so let's check this patch out...
UPD: so far no crashes after intense 20 minutes gunfight in Valentine, next up - Missions crash test

I think this is a Windows 10 thing. Games like Shadow of the Tomb Raider also have 1 GB reserved for me. (only shows 5 GB VRAM) 

 

Might depend on how each dev implements the VRAM counters.

RS:

 

Game FINALLY ran...and ran fine once the 1st patch came out.

 

Since then, as others above note, the newer patchs are causing MORE grief, not less.

 

-Once 1207.73 came to me,,,crash on 'last loading graphic screen' of story mode, and some newer patches keep changing my gfx settings!

 

aaarrrgggghhhh,,but yea, I'd say its worse now, than since 1207.6X

 

Plz keep working on this

 

My system(medium hardware i'd say)

 

AMD FX 8320 8 Core @ 3.5 ghz

16 gb ram

1 TB SSD

Nvidia GTX 1050 Ti (Running Vulkan was fine in the 1207.6x series..but since 1207.7x,,,MORE ISSUES!)

Win10 Build 18362

Still random crashes in DX12. I could play 2 mins after installing the patch and verify files before the game crashed.

Because people with quad core i5s are stuttering on it lol. 

 

For Vulkan you need either a 6c minimum without HT or 4c with HT to run smoothly without stutters.

Lower fps on Vulkan. With DX12 I manage to stay above 60 fps all the time, but with Vulkan I go under.
