the_tobzster
Hi guys, So as you all no doubt had issues at launch, mine was okay. Apart from adding RDR to my list of exceptions in AVG and running as admin (launcher and game) I got it working. Ever since the latest patch however it just crashes at launch "Red Dead Redemption 2 exited unexpectedly"... Same bullsh*t every time. I'm getting pissed off now that a game I paid $80 doesn't even work. Can any of you kind folks on here offer any advice on how you've managed to solve these issues? Everything I try doesn't seem to solve it. Before I have to re-download all 112gb it would be great to have some suggestions on fixes. I have the latest graphics drivers (even the hotfix suggested) and nothing works. I really thought Rockstar Games of all companies would provide better service than this.. My Spec: Acer Predator Helios 300 (2018) I7-8750h GTX 1060 16gb Ram @2333mhz Sincerely, A frustrated customer Edited November 25, 2019 by the_tobzster sppeterson
D1rtyD1g1tal
Make sure everything is up to date, drivers, Windows etc. , turn off any anti virus , verify the game files in the launcher and delete everything in the the settings folder located in your documents. That would be a good place to start.

RedIndianRobin
@Spider-Vice Helped a couple of people with this issue. Apparently if you delete some files in the users/Rockstar Games/Red Dead Redemption 2/settings folder, your game will stop crashing.
