Ok, This worked better. Snipe the camp first. leave the bears. Do the cutscene, tie up Nik, THEN release both bears & escape in the confusion.

If you want to save the marshal you gotta shoot Yukon in the shoulder several times in order to do so. You're not disarming him but making him succumb to the pain from the rounds you're putting in him and fall to the ground. When a red X appears on your crosshair it means you severely wounded him and he will drop to the ground. Avoid putting additional rounds in him to avoid accidentally killing him. He will bleed out and die if left too long so hogtie him immediately. It cancels out the bleed out when tied. Be careful what button you press because there is an execute option, the button you don't want to press for obvious reasons.

That is two good tips!

Need to save those bears then!

Just be forewarned that sometimes the standoff bugs out. What happens that despite pumping several rounds into Yukon the Marshal still somehow dies despite the sawed off shotgun never being fired. His body also glitches out and stays in the kneeling position. What I also noticed is that time doesn't slow down like it should, it remains at normal speed. Don't know what causes it but its clearly a bug. You're doing nothing wrong, its all the game's fault. I second guessed myself for a long time before I put two and two together.

Oops… Well, I came in late then… Been playing since Nov... I guess they'll weekly recycle them, just like the TT in GTA online? Us, PC-poayers haven't had many of these legendary bounties up till now.. Three? I remember the train guy and now the Bearlover...

So they better recycle/reissue them...

Good tips for sure.  I have been releasing only one of the bears at the beginning(sneaking in and releasing) and then releasing the second one after the cut scene.  It's helped tremendously while doing the 4 and 5 star solo.  Has any one tried the lock pick on the cages??  Have they come up with a use for that waste of $ yet?

I experimented further and find his right foot to be a much better thing to aim for. Its a lot more exposed than his shoulder, also completely avoids the risk of accidentally shooting the Marshal or accidentally landing a headshot on Yukon.

The bug however as of late seems to be active almost nearly all the time now. No matter how perfectly you down Yukon, the Marshal still magically dies and just floats in the air.
