Not to get into tit for tat but thats not a game breaking bug. Logging into to find your entire inventory and all your weapons have vanished is a game breaking bug.

The camp bug and the animal spawn bug are game breaking bugs.

You need animals to experience the trader role. You need the camp to experience the trader role. When the game stop spawning either when the lobbies reach a certain population, that then means the game is breaking itself, so it is a game breaking bug.

There is no way around it.

I disagree but this is not a topic for arguments.

It‘s been mentioned several times... correlation does not imply causation. I‘m even doubting the correlation.
if my camp is not working, i simply fast travel through the map and 80% of the time it will work after the first travel.
i don‘t even know where you guys find sessions with less than 15 players or so.
Almost all the sessions I‘m spawning in are stacked with people so that not even all of my friends are able to join sometimes. And still the camp works 3 out of 4 times.

i dunno if I‘m lucky, but I‘m assuming there are more people who share this experience.

EDIT: i‘m often forcing a solo lobby to get animals to spawn and still the camp isn‘t working sometimes.

EDIT2: nevertheless I do agree with you that the animal bug and camp bug are very frustrating, especially combined. I‘m always doing something else when it happens, usually it works for me again if I start a mission or fast travel somewhere, or change session in worst case.

That is an interesting question i am thinking about as i find my camp has disappeared again.
Does not really matter as there are no animals to hunt.

Oh well i guess i can go and not do some gang hideouts that are not spawning.

R* can't fix camps and stuff spawning, but they can fubar gun accuracy and fix it so npc's go left of center on their horse just as we pass by.
And don't even get me started about the horrible weather and day/ night cycles.

Overall a RDO game worthy of a subscription or monthly fee has yet to be released.

Lets not mix up opinions and player's experiences here. Anyway, you asked us what would justify a certain paid sub. No game breaking bugs is one of the criteria mentioned. If anyone argued about that, it's you.

...fine.

And I told you that the Camp not pitching some of the time is not a game breaking bug. Let's not mix up opinion and fact here. Nor is animals not spawning some of the time. Permanently losing everything in your inventory and all your weapons with no work around to get them back is game breaking or sitting down in the Barbers chair and all your money vanishing for no reason.

These are examples of game breaking bugs, I am not saying they are bugs currently in this game.

No game breaking bugs is a fair criteria but your opinion on what is "game breaking" and what actually is game breaking differs. RDO is actually quite bug free.

You can‘t really compare these things. Gun accuracy adaption is changing a int/float value somewhere in a script, npc behavior is changing some aspects of a script. BUT these scripts are working fine basically.

camp/animal issues have a more general problem where the whole script is not working properly. That‘s a huge difference.

I would say no.

Given the fact that R* has earned over 8 Billion off of one game alone (GTAV) by not monetizing anything save for the purchase of the game and in-game currency tells me they did something right.

Nothing. I wouldn't pay it. I already have too many monthly subscription services as it is.

IF, AND ONLY IF:

The world was exactly like story mode:

-Stores had schedules for opening and closing.

-We could rent hotel rooms if we can't reach our camp.

-Movies and the Vaudville shows!

- Those same random and wacky NPCs were also included.

-Perfect and abundant hunting areas. Online animals are nearly fecking extinct!

-Blackjack and dominoes would be nice.

-The ability to throw people out of your fecking camp.

But most importantly:

-Cripps apologizes to my doggo every ten minutes by hugging him profusely! He's a good boi!

Then R* can have some more of my money.

(Maybe my character humming along when she hears the harmonica)

Frankly, charging a subscription in a game which already requires an up-front full-price purchase is scummy, unnecessary, and the only reason why such schemes work is because people just shrug and resign themselves to spending more money on something they already bought. :turn:

Subscriptions should be more like a 'rental' model - i.e., you only get access if you keep paying, but you don't need to pay full price in the first place. Doing that with something like Xbox Game Pass makes sense - you can play dozens of games, and yet the cost of a year's subscription comes to less than what you'd pay to buy a new game every month. Such models make less sense when the cost of subscribing quickly winds up as 'false economy' - a subscription service for a single game might look cheaper than an up-front purchase, but how long will it take for subscription costs to outweigh just buying something for the $60 average? In that scenario (like you find with certain MMOs), it's like the 'worst of both worlds' compared to standard game pricing and free-to-play games - because unlike free-to-play, you have to spend money to play, but like free-to-play (and unlike single purchases), there's nothing stopping you from spending well in excess of $60 for what could easily be a $60 experience.

But all of that's moot in the case of RDO and GTAO, because they already cost $60. Even though that's also for single-player, unless R* announced a free-to-download version of RDO, all players have to buy the thing up-front - and then on top of that, RDO also has a second premium currency that can be bought through unlimited microtransactions (and can be used to bypass the rank grind), as well as the recent addition of a FOMO-inducing limited-time, Fortnite-style 'pass' system. There's already a strong argument that R* doesn't even need to monetise RDO to begin with (it's not like they're hurting for money as a company, are they?) - a subscription on top would be taking the piss, frankly, because either it'd be even more of a pay-to-win model than gold or the "Outlaw Pass" (or 'pay-to-have-a-cushier-time-of-it', at least), or it'd be so useless that only total marks would go for it.

Personally, I'd consider some kind of 'VIP' subscription like Fallout 1st a line in the sand in terms of R* taking things too far - it'd be the moment where I'd just "nope!" out of RDO altogether, and I'd encourage everyone else to do likewise...
