MrBreak16
Which Gta protagonist have the best and worst life by the end of the game Best : Tommy and Carl, excluding the fact that they are rich AF, Tommy becomes the biggest crime boss of Vice City, owns a lot of assets, is basically know by the whole criminal underworld and he have is own gang... CJ also is very lucky, his gang is the most powerful again, his family is fine, he made a ton of friends and allies, he his Madd Dog manager, he live in a big mansion, and he own a car dealership, a RC shop, a garage, and a casino. Worst : Claude. He may be one of the biggest criminals in Liberty City, but every gangs wants to kill him, so now he can’t drive in the streets freely without getting shot at. Guest Billy Russo
Yeah, Claude has to be the worst by the end of GTA 3. You literally can't drive without being shot at, it makes the game so much harder. Also if you think about, what does Claude really have? He's a mute, doesn't really have any friends or family, doesn't have a partner, he's just all crime and that's it. Makes you realize how mentally strong of a character he must be, even without uttering a word. Second would be Michael for most of GTA V. His family is atrocious, he's hiding past demons and he hates basically everything about his life. Not as bad towards the end though. Also gets cheated on amongst other things. Sure he has a nice ass house, but nothing else to really show for it. Best has to be Tommy Vercetti. Nothing really goes wrong for him, he destroys everyone and unlike Tony Montana, he gets to live it out and enjoy it. TheSantader25
I'd say Michael, Tommy and CJ have the best of it by the end, with CJ edging it out due to his control over an entire state and having more connections in comparison to Tommy. Michael still has to deal with his sh*tty family. The worst is probably between Trevor, Claude and Niko. (If we exclude our dead biker Johnny boy lol). I think despite being insane and completely lost Trevor still finds pleasure in life while Niko is completely f*cked mentally after the incidents of IV so I'd give it to Niko. Claude is pretty f*cked up as well. But I feel like he really doesn't give a damn. Algonquin Assassin
Best: Tommy. He has a nice big mansion and silenced all of his immediate threats. Doesn't get much better than that. Worst: Johnny. The Lost completely cripple at the end of TLAD, the clubhouse gets burnt down and he gradually slips into the world of meth. Poor guy. I would say Niko too, but even though he loses Roman and/or Kate ateast he still has some good friends to confide in so not all is that bad I suppose. billiejoearmstrong8, Lock n' Stock, NightmanCometh96 and 6 others
Grotti Vigilante
Best: Toss up between CJ and Tommy. They both end up pretty well off with few enemies left and with things on the up for them. CJ still had a few threats like the rival gangs and Salvatore’s threat, but he’s pretty much just as well off. Tommy is now kingpin of Vice City and has no more ties to the old families, and no rivals. Tommy has less than CJ, but no enemies left to threaten him in future. Worst: Johnny. Niko might seem like he has nothing left, but he’s got some friends, and in one ending he still has Roman. Since none are confirmed canon it’s hard to say, but we at least know that Niko gives up the criminal life. Johnny though lost his gang and his clubhouse and falls into a world of meth. Nothing good comes to him after the events of TLaD. Terry and Clay are all that’s left for him. Lock n' Stock and Algonquin Assassin

Evil empire
Having only played 3, VC & SA: Best: Carl Johnson ; Grove Street is one of the most powerful Los Santos gangs thanks to him, his assets give him an up to 45000$ daily income, he made a strong alliance with the Varrios Los Aztecas and the Triads, he has up to 6 girlfriends at the same time, owns about 30 houses in the whole state, defeated and killed the leaders or high-ranking members of the Vagos, Ballas, San Fierro Rifa, Da Nang Boys, Forellis and to a lesser extent the Sindaccos. He stole the Leones and the army without any retaliation, destroyed the powerful Loco syndicate and the C.R.A.S.H. What's more he's very well accompanied by a lot of friends and family members like Truth, Kendl, Sweet, Madd Dogg and Cesar. Worst: Claude, apart from the revenge he's been dreaming of for a long time and some million dollars he doesn't win much. 5 of the 7 Liberty City gangs and mafias want him dead, he doesn't lead any gang, doesn't own any company, doesn't control any territory, doesn't have any girlfriend and doesn't even have any luxurious house. To make things even worse all his safehouses are 2 steps away from an enemy gang's territory. DOUGL4S1
Best:Tommy and CJ, see above. Worst: Johnny. He ends the game by pretty much destroying the Liberty Chapter of The Lost, only owns a destroyed house, Ashley is still a mess, and he gets killed in GTA V, where it looks like his situation hasn't improved much. The pro-TRAVIS from GTA 1 , has the BEST Life time plan - from relationships with EL Burro to , Uncle Fu in San Andreas , Samuel Deever , you managed to survive many heists, shoot outs, kill frenzies ultimately leading into a good life away from the troubles of gangs and corrupt cops. Mike SLICK from the GTA Advance who is said to have a close relationship with Cisco and King Courtney soon after many crime sprees, still managed to get to Colombia where he now lives a happy life. The worst life has befallen boys such as CJ in San Andreas where he remained a gangster to this day constantly engaged in criminal activities , aside from the fact that the gangs of San Andreas run broke after the events in GTA 2. DOUGL4S1
For the worst, there's also Claude Speed from GTA 2. Dude gets chased by every gang and killed on his own introduction. And in the game he gets shot by gangs with Rocket Launchers.
Americana
Claude can just move from Liberty City. Nobody forces him to stay there. I would say.. Niko has the worst life. He says he wants to be like Roman, a good person, he wants to be happy... but I don't think he will ever be happy. Niko is a good man, but.. his past destroyed him (That's why I would never spare Darko). When it comes to who has the best life... I would say Luis. He seems to be that guy who just doesn't care and enjoys the life. billiejoearmstrong8, 2L8 and Lock n' Stock
Copcaller
Best- CJ he has ownership of a casino, a chop shop business, an airstrip, fighter jet, multiple assets and is second in command of los Santos most powerful gang Worst- Johnny his best friend is dead, his gang clubhouse burnt and by v he's killed by the guy who's banging his gf. Hell at least Vance got to rule vice city for 2 years that makes him better than Johnny. Tao Cheng
Best life- Tommy Vercetti before the events of GTA Vice City, he's stuffing his fat face in St. Mark's Bistro everyday. Worst life- Huang Lee, despite being rich from the start, 80% of anyone reading this probably never heard of him.
LloydGTA3
Best: Tommy and CJ. Needs no explanation Worst: Vic Vance. His mother's a cokehead, his brother's a moron, his other brother's sick with asthma, he got discharged from the army for something some corrupt sergeant did to him, the woman he loved got killed, and two years later, he gets killed in the end. Tragic character if you ask me. Evil empire, Copcaller, Lock n' Stock and 2 others
GTA-Biker
Best-Tommy, CJ and Franklin are all rich and seem to have no problems left by the end of their stories,Luis possibly also gets rich if he's still working for Tony (not to mention all the chicks he bangs). Worst-Johnny lost several close friends, had his club almost destroy itself in a civil war,got addicted to drugs, and got killed by an insane drug dealer who just banged his girlfriend (it's also implied in TLAD that he had a motorcycle crash in his youth, which is usually painful and takes a long time to recover from).Niko had a pretty bad life too, spending his youth fighting in a war and later smuggling people, and even after trying to start a new life in America he gets involved in crime and loses either his cousin or his love interest.Vic's life was bad too,he had a junkie mother,a sick brother he had to take care of,another brother who got him involved in the drug trade,he got kicked out of the army for something he didn't do,his love interest gets killed by the cartel, and he also gets killed two years later. Lock n' Stock
For the 3D Universe, I'd say the best is Tommy and Carl. Tommy has full control over VC's criminal underworld and CJ holds a substantial amount of wealth across an entire state, with the Grove Families more powerful than ever and managing a top-selling rap artist to boot. One could argue that Carl has it a little better than Tommy is this regard, though I'll give the upper hand to Tommy since Carl doesn't have a fancy Scarface-like mansion overlooking a tropical paradise (though Madd Dogg's mansion is probably more than good enough). As for the worst, Claude comes to mind, having no real allies left and most of the city's major gangs wanting him dead, but in the grand scheme of things I doubt he really cares that much. Besides, I can see him taking the money he got back and "retiring" in some tropical paradise, leaving the torn-apart LC behind him (funnily, this is how it works out for Mike in GTA Advance). Vic also qualifies, having familial problems and losing various loved ones but still having built up a good fortune from the empire he ran, but as two years later show, that doesn't seem to matter in the end. No mention of Toni here, interestingly. Maybe he has it quite good as well? He's helped to elevate the Leones to a higher status of power and solidified his relationship with Salvadore as a result, but he doesn't really seem to have earned any major reward from it. Well, I suppose $500,000 is good enough, and GTA III shows that he's a well-respected member of the Leones (though the weight gain hasn't done him many favours). Onto the HD Universe, all of the GTA V protagonists (not counting the alternate endings) seem to live fairly good lives by the end of things. Michael finally seems to have sorted sh*t out with his family, Franklin owns a big house overlooking LS and Trevor controls a strip club (though doesn't seem to have moved on much from living in a sh*tty trailer park). In addition to that is the hefty amount of wealth they've obtained from the Union Depository, and the fact that all of their enemies have been eliminated, so yeah, I'd say they all have it alright. On the East Coast however, it's a different story. Niko kind of seems to be an emotional wreck by the end of IV (even more so in the Deal ending), but he still has plenty of friends left and is quite financially well-off (as well as being out of the crime game), so things aren't a total loss. On the other hand is Johnny, the entire clubhouse burned down (with only a sh*tty dilapidated house to sleep in) and only a few remaining Lost members remaining, while his best friend is dead and Ashley is still a mess. That's not even putting into account the pathetic drug-addicted wreck he dies as years later. Huang and Luis have it a little better. Huang has some wealth and is now the new Triad leader, though he doesn't seem to care all that much, having been forced to kill his own Uncle and having never gotten laid. Luis however seems happy enough. No major reward but of course all the heat is off him and Tony's back and the latter's club business is restored to past glory, and of course there's all the girls he likely gets to bang. So overall, the best I'd say? Tommy. The worst? Without any doubt, Johnny. Edited November 24, 2019 by Lock n' Stock billiejoearmstrong8

Nasloye
Best: Carl Johnson - Well let's say that our little Carl here is going into a Time or Forbes magazine. He started as a hood rat into a rich man. He can buy any properties and can buy your own land. He co-owns a casino, owns the $60,000,000 jetpack (or let's say stolen). Tommy Vercetti - Notably same as Carl but he is now a boss and a crimelord, I mean he can squash Salvatore's mafia though. Worst: Claude - Well, left for dead, and all of the gangs want him dead. Because Catalina is a stupid moronic b*tch who desired money and many more. Johnny K. - I think we get to the point where his gang was just nothing and the person he was trying to protect will stab him in the back (Ashley, I know it's you you cheap mustard). Kaname Madoka
CJ and Tommy have the best life, they are extremely powerful and rich since both pretty much own their respective areas (Vice City and SA), their enemies are mostly dealt with, they also have strong connections with other organizations. Claude owns nothing aside from his name and apartments, his girlfriend shot and left him to die, doesn't have any friends and i doubt he trusts people, no connections since i doubt powerful people wants to be associated with him for long, no businesses and to make matters worse, his head must be worth more than gold since the whole LC wants it.
