collectibles respawn?

Do collectibles respawn again after a few  hours or do they only respawn when the next cycle hits and spawn in the new spot?

when the cycle changed. you can get ANY collectible from random digging sites though

And may I add, the game very often fills in the missing collectible you would have had to wait for until the next cycle kicked in, so those random digging sites really are worth your time!

Note: pretty sure I was able to collect eggs twice before the cycle changed.

If I may just hijack this thread for a bit, which seems better than creating a new one at the moment.

 

I picked up a collectible tonight, all fine and dandy, but then shortly after I got my other character (close game, log off, log into other PS account, start game anew) and I spawned close to that same collectible so I figured I'd nab it for this character too, but it wasn't there.

It almost seems like RDO links pickups to console or IP as It's happened a bunch of times now. It's weird.

 

Edit: I kept an eye on it and I didn't jump the location-change time.

It's related to your PS membership. If you had a seperate PS Plus membership for your 2nd account, it would've spawned. But since you already grabbed it on your main account, it wont be available for any other profiles on the console.

Actually, it is tied to the console.  I can loot the same item on the same account in the same day on two different PS4's.  However, I can't loot the same item for two separate accounts on the same console even if they both have PS+ memberships.  So basically if I find an item while playing on my PRO I can switch to my old SLIM and get the same item.
