I know this has probably been asked x100 but the last GTA worked pretty smoothly on my PC and i only have a 32mb TNT Riva 2. But for Vice City mininuim requirments are that you must have a 'Geoforce' or better. I was wondering whether it is worth buying VC PC with my TNT 2 card or is it worth buying a new graphics card.

Can somebody tell me how much a Geoforce 2, 3 or 4 Card would cost. And for anyone living in London could you tell me where to pick one up.

Well, Geforce is the recommended graphics card to use, so, of course it would be good for you to get hold of one. However, if your current one delivers a good picture for GTA3, I'm sure it'll do just the same for Vice. Check out some online Computer Stores to check out some prices.. or visit your local store..

ahh yes, the good old tnt2.

i used to have a TNT2 M64 on my computer and it ran GTA3 with a pretty good picture, while it definitely wasn't flawless, it was certainly playable. i think that yes, it is worth getting vice even with your tnt2, BUT, i would also reccomend that you do upgrade to a better video card to get the better gaming experience.

i don' know about prices.. but i do know that on the other computer we have the Ge force 4 mmx440 cost $256 australian. i don't know what that amounts to in American dollars.

I think you should get a Gf3 or Gf4ti4200 if you are short in money. If you have some in your pocket, pick a Gfti4600 or a Radeon 9500/9600. That should run the game fine ;).

The important thing is to keep away from MX-cards. Get any card over MX because you are going to regret if you get one.

I got a Geforce3 ti200 and it runs Gta3 like it was meant to.

BTW could you give us more info about the rest of the specs you have?

Only few more weeks and we are there :).

I have an Intel Extreme Graphics card with 64mb shared memory. As well as a 1.8ghz celeron processor and 512mb of ram. Should I still get Vice City. Will run hardly at all.

The way i see it is that my geforce runs gta 3 fine. I am not really keen to shell out $ 300 for a new video card to play just one game. If my card ran gta3 fine then it will run gta vice city fine too.

System specs

pentium 4    2.0 ghz

1 gb of memory

80 g harddrive

geforce 3 ti 200

6.1 channel monsoon flat panel speaker system

stay away from the mx cards. They are just a cheap version of the real thing the titaniums. Listen check out this website. www.pricewatch.com , they have video cards at really good prices.

I dont see why it shouldn't work . But you have to remember that this game has a lot more polygons than the other game and runs at a higher resolution for a better experience. I think it will run but that card will struggle to process the graphics.

You guys should really think Radeon 9100 128mb, instead ANY sh*tty Geforce MX card.

Much more powerful, than any "mx" card, and also cheaper, than most of 440-460 mx cards.

I just wanna warn u guys, Geforce mx isnt very fast/good.

I have GF4 4200ti with 128mb, but i can honestly say in these days:Radeon is faster, cheaper and better picture quality.

GET THE RADEON 9700 pro or 9800pro

BETTER THAN GEFORCE FX!!!!!!!!

Why??? cause uit says it on the main page huh?

Dont trust that..nvidia payed rockstar to say "works best with geforce". It does not matter.. A radeon 9800 pro is much better than an fx and will therefore be better with vice

Over and out!
