Best role to make gold

I heard that only bounty hunter role actually gets gold from jobs. Collector and trader only take cash. Is that true ? And if not, what role, and what way, is best for making gold ?

Collector and Trader can generate some gold through their associated dailies and awards, but only Bounty Hunter pays out gold for each mission. Check out this thread here for details.

Yes, only Bounty Hunter gets gold from jobs. Personally what I think is the best way to make gold is to play Legendary Bounties on the highest difficulty. If you get it done you get around .50 gold, than you 1 hour cool down. In the mean time you can either grind regular bounties missions or strangers missions. Also doing Daily Challenges is the best way if you can keep up with your streaks. But if you're not fan of it you can pvp, you can make .50 gold pretty quick. Hopefully you find balance so it isn't too repetitive for you.

Honestly you're better off just doing daily challenges if gold is what you seek.

 

.50 gold per challenge if you do the streak(Aka do one challenge and f*ck off if you're too busy/don't feel like playing), and if they ever do another double week(I doubt it lol) 1 gold per challenge! .50 gold is VERY nice on the rare days we get 7/7 easy challanges, and no rigged sh*t like rare animal spawns or FR event spawns

is .50 the maximum? i know .20 is the default and after a week you get a x1.5 multiplier for .30

Daily challenges seem pretty hard, it expects you know the game very well. I don't, I've just started, and I wonder what role to take first. I like collector. Bounty hunter looks like fun, but you are constantly on time countdown. Same with trader, you need to get those animals fast. Collecter seem like the only one which you can do at your own pace. And it seems like nice introduction to the game. But I want something where I can get next 15 gold in reasonable time.

Building up and maintaining a streak of daily challenges is the best way to make gold, there's pretty much always at least one very simple challenge such as cooking a few pieces of a certain meat, changing clothes, eating vanned food etc. and you only need to do one per day to keep your streak going. It's probably a pretty good way to get introduced to new things in RDO tbh, and there's an active Daily Challenge thread here that should be very helpful for you.

 

It looks like you play GTAO, there was an offer which let you get the Collector role for free by collecting a full set of playing cards spread around San Andreas. That's what I did, I'm not sure if it's still possible though. At any rate, you can make some pretty impressive cash and XP as a Collector, a staggering amount if you're willing to really grind it using certain out-of-game resources, but it won't bring any gold aside from associated dailies.

 

Bounty Hunter is the only steady gold role, but you could probably make a similar amount doing the free roam missions marked by a little stick figure icon. They're timed though, as is pretty much everything in RDO, but they almost always give you way more time than needed.

Hm .. some of the dailies will have you cross the map, but if they pay this well .. why even do roles ? Sure, hunting criminal is fun. Doing it 100 times is not. Same with hunting or collecting. They basically force you to do it so much you hate it. Why then ? For the outfits ? Are there some special perks ?

I advice you to check out the role-unlocks for each role-rank. It‘s definitely worth to max out every role. 
 

with daily challenges you only get gold, so if you are really only seeking gold, then yes, daily challenges is probably the most efficient. 
but gold alone won‘t make you happy in this game.

From my experience, do a mix of dailies and role stuff - particularly any role activities that count towards role-specific dailies (use three maps, hogtie two bounty targets, etc.).

 

Not only do you get more gold per daily the longer you keep a streak going, but it's also a good way to make steady role progress without it feeling quite like a grind - sometimes, just doing 'two bounty targets from West Elizabeth posters' is enough for me to tick off that daily, plus any other related ones, and then I can leave bounty hunting and focus on collecting instead.

 

In other words, dailies are the most straightforward way to make easy gold, but roles give you more options than just the regular dailies - as for levelling up roles, focus on whatever gets you the next upgrade you need to unlock more dailies (reinforced lasso, metal detector, etc.), depending on which unlock is closest at any given time (collector is probably the fastest and easiest to level up - was for me, at least).

Yes, this one feels most like the MC businesses, but the money is good once you get the large wagon (a long way off for us new PC players), collector feels like running crates, but more interesting.

I must give the bounties a try.

If new i would start with collector and daily challenges where it would soon become easy to get 3 gold bars a day.
Those 3 bars come from completing 6 challenges from the regular and collector list of challenges.
More than 3 bars is possible, but 3 is what i consider a minimum expected average.
Those 3 bars is a daily base that is then added to from gold earned from game play. More play = more gold.

Trader and Bounty operation ups the daily challenges to 16. Getting gold now getting easy.
