Did anyone CHEAT [jumpjet] to beat the mission “are you going to san fierro?”

I saw the video where they used a combine harvester to beat this mission and made me wonder what other ways you can beat the mission. I want to know if I discovered something new or if this was known

Looks like a pain in the a, tbh.

Also, I love how the flying car fits CJ getting high.

I use the speedrunner method of placing satchels and blowing them up to burn the weed. You need about 20 or so to clear the field providing they're spaced out evenly. You receive some on the Catalina mission where you rob the small town bank, and you can pick up even more just around the back of the alley adjacent. I even go so far as to buy some following the mission Against All Odds because I'm usually flush with money by that point and I despise the flamethrower.

Would it not be simpler to simply grab the Molatov Cocktails from the Grove Street house, and set CJ on fire?  Most players will have completed the Firefighter missions at this point in the story.

I don't think so. Earlier missions replace your thrown slot with satchel charges anyway, so all it'd mean is a lengthy backtrack. Also, this is dependent on the player completing the tags early on. As useful as the reward is, the tags are tedious and might not be very high on the priority list for some players. I don't even think CJ being on fire would burn the weed, so you'd save no time over just using the provided flamethrower.

Satchel charges are the superior choice for thrown weaponry during this mission in my opinion.

I will have to see if a burning CJ sets the weed alight.  As to the backtracking, I typically return often to Los Santos to grab my courier money, restock my arsenal, and boost my crack dealer numbers.

Basically, use a Seasparrow to bait a Hydra into crashing into the invisible barrier blocking the bridge next to the SFPD and then pushing the wreck into the underground impound garage for saving and restoration.

One way of obtaining the Hydra early is flying over to locked cities, particularly San Fierro. The process involves luring a Hydra close enough to the Garver Bridge so it crashes and explodes, and you also have to be in a close enough proximity to the impound garage at the police station. Fortunately, the two are close enough for it to be possible. You ideally want the Hydra to land just outside the gates, or on the grass slope leading down to it near where Toreno's helipad is. You then need to push it gently into the garage where the vehicle will be saved. As it happens, this is sadly right at the back of the garage so it is very tedious, and you run the risk of the Hydra despawning at any moment. When the plane hits the right spot, it'll disappear instantly, but not in the way it despawns. You'll know it's worked when you run away. Keep your camera aimed towards it and you should see it pop back into existence on its wheels, repaired and ready to go. It's important to know that whilst you're pushing the Hydra, you mustn't look away at any time. Having the camera face away will more than likely lead to it despawning.
