haizadimran
Hi Alexander the GOAT, first and foremost thank you for being a legend. Is there gonna be any update on the ScripthookRDR2 for the latest RDR2 latest version (27/04/2022), seems that the current one is not compatible and I've been getting SCRIPT HOOK RDR 2 CRITICAL ERROR. Hope to get the latest ScripthookRDR2 soon. Thank you once again for everything that you've done for us!
quadro11
Hey Alexander, Script Hook is not working with current version 1436.31, could you please update it?
Guyle7
I have a temporary fix for you guys that will enable you to roll back to the previous version of RDR2, thus allowing you to use script hook and mods. 1) Copy and paste the following URL into your browser: steam://nav/console 2) Allow it to launch Steam. This will open the Steam console window 3) In the text box at the bottom of the Steam Console window, paste the following: download_depot 1174180 1174184 5805888981794472260 4)A few messages will appear in the console window--this will take potentially several minutes. Wait until you see the message "Depot download complete :" 5)Once the depot download finishes, navigate to the following directory on your PC: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\content\app_1174180\depot_1174184 a) For those of you who may have installed Steam on a different drive or location, find the root of your Steam installation and continue through the directories from there 6) Copy all of the content from the above directory and paste it into the root of your RDR2 installation folder; allow it to overwrite anything it asks. 7) Launch RDR2 from the RDR2.exe executable in the installation folder Done! I did this myself and it works flawlessly. I hope this helps you guys for the time being. SpaceWise
For those getting a Scripthook error after this update, a similar solution to the one from Guyle7 Just tried and it has worked for me (no error, mods are working) 1) Open launcher with admin rights, click Play 2) Immediately after that replace RDR2.exe with the previous version of it* (I had 1.0.1436.28 in my cloud backup storage so I used that) * prior to replacing make sure your RDR2.exe is Unlocked and set to be always opened with admin rights in Windows file properties This worked for me not sure if it's gonna work for you but maybe worth a try since we got no Scripthook update yet I can upload and share RDR2.exe I used if needed. Although it's best to avoid downloading random exe files from strangers Striipy

Finch_A7X
So I have good news for Rockstar games launcher users, this is temporary fix I just found. all you need is the previous version of rdr2.exe. update the game so you can click play and while it's loading up copy the old rdr2.exe into the main directory. The game fires up like nothing changed. If your having issues with not being able to copy, as it states "folder is In use". Just close out and retry. Only downside is you have do this process everytime untill AB comes out with a new update. Edited April 27 by Finch_A7X
Spider-Vice
New update for both GTA V and RDR2 means that ScriptHook will break, as usual. Please also refrain from sharing RDR2 executables as it's pretty much piracy if you don't own the game. Locking this until it's updated. let your hopes and dreams turn into burning fire! Someone released an alternate scripthook while waiting for this to be updated, and it doesn't seem to have said bug. I know you have said before that you've never experienced this issue, but could it be that myself and other users don't have the correct .NET Framework installed? Just strange is all.
