Hi people, simple and quick question, I've been playing on pc since tuesday, currently at lvl 22, one thing I noticed is that my character is always with low weight, and sometimes I got red stats because of  weight loss. I'm mostly of the time hunting, so Iam always cooking meat at the campfire, am I missing something?

Cores and stat bars are known to be buggy at times, is this a constant thing or just here and there?

Basically just eat food (cooked meats typically fill all 3 cores unlike item wheel food items) anytime your cores start to drop but not so often your character becomes overweight (unless that's your goal). Also since you mention a campfire are you talking about your player camp? Cause resting at your camp will refill your cores as well with each rank up to your personal tent affording you a higher regen rate while resting at camp.

Unless PC has a bug with player cores I'm unaware of.

Cooking food and eating it beings cores back up. If you wanna gain weight, eat bisquits and candy a lot, while also eating self cooked meats.
Also, the weight stats don't update very often, so you may think you haven't gained any weight while the next RL day you're toon is overweight all of the sudden.

Its why I really love the stew pot upgrade for your camp. Spend two minutes eating bowl after bowl of soup and your weight will increase quickly, easily, and without eating tons of whatever food you got in your satchel.

Just one piece of any kind of meat you get from hunting is all thats needed. After eating a bunch go and enter the donation menu with Cripps and your weight will immediately update.

On that note I love that the special recipe gives you gold cores for 3 in game days.

I didn't think the special stew gives you gold cores that last three days, but rather they give you gold cores and the stew lasts in the pot for the next three days.

Both of the gold stews (cripps and superior [to be clear all stews last in the pot at camp for 3 days, just wanted to clarify]) last in the stew pot in camp for 3 days, while the superior stew effects last for 1 in game day the cripps special stew effects last for 3 in game days.

Yeah, you have to "eat" it. The option to eat it is there when you cook it, or "stow" it. The OP might just be hitting "stow."

When I redid this character, I made it "skinny." This is because I'm ALWAYS max overweight; You can be max overweight, on a character that you created with "skinny", while still looking average/thin. So it is funny when NPCS insult me, with "SKINNY WOMAN!" Before I made her as "skinny", I looked like I was "with child" in game.

Yes, I was always at under weight, and with red stats when I don't eat between one mission and another. I bought the stove, and managed to get weight to perfect, but I had to eat a lot of soup, like 50's of it and drinking beer together lol.

Yes, I noticed that eating "suggar" foods get your weight higher in a faster way, and good to know about the stats updating right away, I guess the current way makes more sense anyway. Thanks for the tip.

Yes guys, I was eating 😛    I just didn't know that we're supposed to eat often.

I'm confused by the weight system. My character is a stick so I tried making her gain weight. I got her from underweight, to average to perfect, reclogged a few times but she always looks like a stick insect.

Is the weight system only tied to stats, or should they be making a visual difference too?

Do you know if you selected "skinny" or "average" when making her? It DOES make a visual difference (see the complaints on many boards, about "much fatter face!" )

When I did "average", in the free redo, while my character was "Max Overweight" (from in game play):

I was a fatty who looked preggers!

I paid the gold for a redo then, selecting "skinny." The Skinny one is the one I like, since I always look thin (more like average, at MAX Overweight, but still thinnish.) Since I like to constantly be optimistic, eating Cripp's special stew recipes (as many as 3 times in a row, before stupid disconnects, if there is a daily for that) this is the one for me; So I'm pretty much ALWAYS max overweight.

I also heard that "relogging" makes you LOSE weight, so you don't want to do that ;) As in, if you are overweight, then join a new lobby you will have lost a little weight.

Here I am at "Skinny", when character was created, then max overweight while in game:

I chose skinny as a preset because it was the most visually pleasing. However, I was hoping to be somewhere between the average and skinny preset if that's even possible.

But again, even when my character is average, she certainly doesn't look average. She's still just as thin.

Go for max overweight then (since character was made as "skinny"), you should look about right like I do ;)

Once there, you maintain it quite easily (bouncing around between Overweight and Max overweight.)

You suffer a tiny stamina max, or something, but have the max hit points.

Ohhh I see. So the build you choose in character creator effects your appearance as well. So an overweight 'skinny build' is actually different from an overweight 'average build'.

Doesn't make sense, but I understand it's to reflect on your CC choice. Okay, so I've force fed my chick tons of game meat but she seems to be gaining weight so slowly. Is there any way to quicken the pace? Do I have to keep relogging?

No, It just eventually says "overweight" "max overweight."

If you just cook the food, then eat it whenever your health stamina barely is down/you lose the buffs from the seasoned ones (especially with Game Meat), you'll eventually hit max overweight.

I stay at it just making cripps stew, eating that, before I get disconnected again =/
