What do you think would happen to the stations in vice city in the 90s?

Would you think that radio station names like flash would change or certain genres like new wave and post punk would stop playing in the 90s.

Some would fall into total decline while some would start playing more modern genres, simple as that. Vice City is not magical to stay in the 80's all the time :P

Could still see Spanish radio stations playing wave 103 probably dies out and is replaced with a sports radio station or something. Wildstyle still plays rap and flash fm plays 90s pop. Probably some religious or Catholic stations

Flash FM would play 90s pop, Wave 103 would probably die or follow Flash FM's footsteps, and V-Rock would take the Radio X approach.

I would see VRock playing bands like KMFDM, Metallica and Dream Theater etc.

They'd probably change. If Vice City becomes a part of the story in GTA 6, I wonder if the station will stay the same.

Unlikely. Hardly any station from III and SA was brought back into IV or V.

V brought back WCTR and Radio Los Santos. It’s weird how they’re picky about what comes back and how nothing returned in IV

They decided to bring back some things from Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas to Grand Theft Auto V, but they didn't do it with Grand Theft Auto III and Grand Theft Auto IV.

I'm kinda going off-topic, but that's something I like about GTA IV. It wanted to separate itself from the 3D era significantly, but it still managed to share some kind of similarity with GTA III, such as the overall tone, hitman theme, more grounded approach, etc.

 

As for gangs, I like how it wasn't too obvious when it comes to re-introducing gangs that appeared in the 3D era. Spanish Lords/Diablos? Hustlers/Southside Hoods? Yardies weren't much different, but they weren't too similar as are Los Santos' street gangs between the 3D and HD eras at least.
