Hmmm Beer 46
OK, I was up near Firwood Rise and had just cleared out an O'Driscoll camp between there and the cliff overlooking Cornwall Kerosene. I was riding back up the hill towards Firwood Rise (this was at night) and suddenly out of nowhere I heard a voice say the word "fascinating" - the voice sounded a bit weird and sinister, like someone trying to do a 'baddie' character voice, if you see what I mean. The accent sounded more English than American, the way it does when filmmakers are trying to make a character sound evil. Then, a pack of three Wolves attacked me, luckily I killed them all and survived, but it was very weird. Literally the only explanation I can come up with is that the word was said by a passer-by and the wolf attack was a co-incidence. It did not however sound like normal NPC dialogue. I would however be fascinated if anyone else has encountered this. Edited November 8, 2019 by Hmmm Beer Typo
Holyskin 10
You sir encountered the wolfman :D He is a NPC who will summon or call or whatever a pack of wolves to attack you. An emergent event no different really than when a normal pack attacks you. Occasionally he will run out of the woods to attack you after his pets die. he looks like a toothless hobo in torn and muddy dungarees. Hmmm Beer 46
A-ha! So it was something. Nice to know I'm not going mad. It was spooky, especially the "fascinating" part.

I won't ruin it for you but there is plenty of weird random stuff like that. It happens naturally over time :D

Hmmm Beer 46
Hmm. I have had that encounter (though not yet on this playthrough) yet the one I describe above was not far north of Valentine. Curiouser and curiouser.

Are you not sure you were just close to Deborah McGuinness’ house where she can be heard screaming, laughing and talking very loudly? Just a thought.
Hmmm Beer 46
I was fairly close, but probably not close enough to hear her. It was also a male voice who said "fascinating".
