Steam release speculation thread!

Here’s to speculating when steam release will happen next month? Hopefully around 4 weeks from now we get it. Also hopefully it’s nice and patched at that time lol.

Probably December 5th. I hope there's preorder bonuses there as well, but my hype died after the botched launch. RIP Rockstar.

Even with steam it will still need to go through rock stars messed up launcher , so you will need to run steam and the Rockstar launcher at the same time or the game won't load

The 3rd I'm guessing, going by the Steam ToS stuff. Tues/Fri releases are the standard so, think a 3rd release is more likely than a 5th unless there's some contractually obliged stuff from EGS that is has to be a full month, if that was even a deal in the first place and not just Rockstar prioritising the stores that gave them the better cut.

Yup. It’s there. Probably won’t be shown until December when they release it. I’m hoping they announce in the next few weeks when in December it’s coming. They haven’t announced anything yet.

At this point now I'm just hoping the game gets fixed before we Steam folks get to buy it lol

Now they are busy solving and fixing a bunch of bugs !
I am very glad that I am waiting for the steam version and I am sure that it will already be fixed. I think the last week of November is a great opportunity to add a page and pre-purchase.
Honestly at least the date would have said !

You dont need to open launcher separately.. When you press play on steam it opens it by itself and I feel thats a better option than you opening it before hand..

 

But yeah hopefully a pre load period and maybe pre order bonus for the mess created with launcher and game issues..

hopefully they optimize the game and fix it till it comes on stram otherwise the negative reviews will bomb rdr2

theres a chance but who cares about rockstar editor atm theres a sh*t of tons they need to fix crashed bugs fps drop stutters optimization hopefully we get thosew fixed before steam release

I would hope by then they have it sorted out. Digital foundry has a nice in depth video how to get a solid 60fps I found interesting.

19 november. I wounder, what will happen, if i buy rdr2 in steam also (who cares, i already has bought it for X1X and RGL (GTA V - PS3,PS4,Steam)). Could i use same RGL  account and Online? What will happen with preorder gold
