Should I buy a house in Paleto bay?

It's usually quieter down there, as an addition to a home, there's a few business properties in relatively close proximity such as two Motorcycle Clubhouses, Biker businesses, Paleto Forest Bunker & Facility if you want to make it your home....away from home. You can also anchor a Yacht there (if you have one) and endlessly enjoy spectacular views and sunsets.

A bit of extras to Paleto Bay - convenient access to personal aircraft on the beach, Pegasus aircraft beside the Police Station helipad, sometimes rare vehicles parked by Beeker's Garage such as a modified Rat-Loader, various truck trailers, and occasionally a bulldozer to toy around with in the construction yard. The general Paleto Bay area contains some of Dynasty 8's best and most unique individual properties.

Buy a house, sure, just make sure you never buy any businesses. It's a lovely part of the map for just chilling out, but you wouldn't want to source/sell to and from the city as it takes forever.

Yes.

Gives a good reason to fly, drive the open roads and explore the rest of the map.

Dock a yacht, buy a safehouse, customize cars and take advantage of the local ammunition and Pegasus spawn. Nice place to pass the time when you want some space from griefers.

I used to own a 6 car safe house there. It's quiet when you wanna shop around and just chill. But since it's not a realtime spawn, it becomes useless after a while.

I swapped my Sandy Shores Facility for the Facility there and it's been great. Changed my house there to a nice stilt house when the sale was on last week.

The area is nice but the novelty will wear off in a week.

If you have spare money, go for it. It’s a nice, quiet area,

Literally this. It’s a very nice place. I don’t have apartment space though unfortunately myself.

You could also say the same for Grapeseed, except it lacks a nearby Yacht location. Sandy Shores is usually pretty hectic compared to the rest of the  County, but it’s still relatively quiet.

Buy a house in Paleto? Sure, it's a nice place. There is a car mod shop, clothing store, barber, tattoo shop and ammunation all within walking distance from your house.

Buy Bunker/MC businesses in Paleto? No. Sandy shores is better for the missions, which tend to take you all the way to Los Santos. You will be hard pressed for time, and longer exposed to griefers while on your way with product/supplies if you sell to Los Santos from Paleto.

Buy Doomsday Facility in Paleto? Only if you regularly do the Bogdan glitch.

Best MC business locations are those in the middle of the map of course, but I would prefer the Paleto Bay businesses over those in the city since heli, planes and boats sale missions are better and your Titan (or Bombushka without updates) spawns nearby for transporting bikes. Only Post OP and Trash trucks are not possible to do solo (when full product). Bunker: hell no, buy Chumash! Having a house in PB is nice, unfortunately the biggest garage is only for 6 cars. Buying the MC clubhouse next to the heli port at the police station is also not the worst choice if you don't own personal aircraft, since a Maverick, Buzzard or Annihilator will always spawn there that you can use for the clubhouse missions.

I had one there for a while. It’s honestly my favourite part of the map. I ended up selling it though as I mainly play to collect cars and I needed the extra garage space.

That being said if they ever release a house there with the option of the ten car garage I’d buy 2. (At the least)

Such a shame that apparently the people of Paleto Bay arn’t wealthy enough to have a house and more than 6 vehicles..... peasants!😛 (joking I love it there)

With a Stromberg, you can travel from the door of your house to the sunken crashed UFO in just a few minutes! Who wouldn't want that?

It must surely push up local house prices a little.

I've tried it a couple of times but it's so far from everything.  It's just exactly like a city apartment inside, there is no view when you're in the apt.  I can't believe they don't have oceanside stilt houses with a view up there.

You could wait for Yachts to go on sale or if you have one park it up there.  Would be much better than one of those houses/apartments.

Got a house up there on my secondary character and my facility and biker clubhouse on my main char.

If you want an additional home (not a replacement) I'd say go for it. Very nice place, quiet, gunstore, clothingstore, modshop and pegasus/aircraftspawns conviniently close to the homes and the general store is just a short bicycle ride outside of town. You can easily stock up on everything before traveling towards the city or just enjoy the peace of the chiliad mountain state wilderness.

Yes.

I sold off my old stupid high end apartment not only to shut Lester the hell up but also cause it's sweet up there. The drive from and to there is amazing and if you need car space just buy the 10 car garages to store you're stuff.

Just ask the kind souls of the Paleto Bay Mayor's Office. They'll help you settle down properly.

I used to live there. It's a nice little town and the houses are the best mid-end properties in the game. But eventually you'll get tired of the long commute downtown, and let's face it, downtown is where most of the fun is at. Also Paleto Bay's not as peaceful as it used to be. It has the cheapest bunker and that brings the wrong kind of people up there.

I used to have a house there, but sold it because being a collector, I needed more space and no house up there has a 10 car garage. But it's a nice little town to get away from everybody in.

I purposely bought my Weed Farm at Mt. Chiliad because it reminded me of Oregon (randon fandom of mine); but it's a stone's throw away from Paleto Bay I'm wondering why didn't they just call the Weed Farm at Mt. Chiliad Paleto Bay?

Isn't a yacht up there with opting for chrome rims then deciding you like the stock ones better on the top 10 list of buyer's remorse?

I don't know, I don't own yacht, but, based on what I've heard, I'd probably be fine doing without.

I hope "wait" means "wait until they're ~75% off on Black Friday (or other sales)", otherwise it's a big ol' waste of money.

Maybe because of this thread? IDK, I just traded in my two car garage apartment in Grapeseed for that one two car garage apartment in Paleto Bay. I was saving up for that six car garage apartment in Paleto Bay for $165,000.00 (not the six car garage apartment in Paleto Bay for $155, 000.00) wondering what to trade in; My two car garage apartment in West Vinewood opposite my huge warehouse, or my 10 car garage by LSIA (the big airport in Los Santos)... When I realised Paleto Bay fit my wants and needs better than Grapeseed did when I moved into Grapeseed; I wanted something, thought I found it in Grapeseed (I wanted a certain vibe)... - Then I realised Paleto Bay really had this vibe and the vibe I got from Grapeseed wasn't doing it for me after that... I was wondering which I liked better out of the two six car garage apartments in Paleto Bay, but then after seeing what I had in Grapeseed, seeing the two six car garage apartments in Paleto Bay, I saw the two car garage apartment in Paleto Bay that I liked its location in Paleto Bay the best (for some reason/closer to the high way/mechanic/my weed farm in Mt. Chiliad)? - something I liked about the location; but when I saw the ascetics of the property; nice looking house, American flag (what's not to like); I bought it trading in my Grapeseed apartment for it and I couldn't be happier; You could hear the music from the radio in shower better? (Maybe that's my imagination)? but also; It's got a working driveway! - you try parking in your driveway or even stepping into it in that Grapeseed place; you go into the garage; this cool looking Paleto Bay apartment I got has a drive way I can sit in my car in; I looks a lot nicer outside; and the vibe of Paleto Bay has that vibe I wanted that I thought I found in Grapeseed. I never thought I'd give up Grapeseed or buy an apartment in Paleto Bay, but that's exactly what I've done this morning and I couldn't be happier about the move.

TL;DR: if you're looking for peace and quiet, buy it and take some vacations in there from time to time, sometimes you want to slow down and there's no better place for that than there, but don't stick around for too long because the novelty wears off.

Don't set up your businesses in there unless you know what you're doing.

My secondary character is a biker who lives there, his MC clubhouse with 10 custom bikes bought with money earned from his MC businesses, and his MC businesses are all there too but that was my own choice(I know its not the smarter one, but I'm not a fan of using the META for everything, I play the way I like to play).

The place is quiet with rarely ever another player per session, and most of them are peaceful too, the Pegasus spawn point in the police station is very handy and I'm borrowing their helicopters constantly(I call Lester and ask him to locate the helicopter for free, so I don't get a wanted level), the train tracks right besides the city means I can hitch a ride all the way to LS without paying a dime for it(taxis are expensive).

MK2 are incredibly rare to come by here, jets sadly aren't so rare but at least you can tell when they are coming(if you're on Paleto Bay and see a jet blip in the radar, that blip has no reason to be pointing towards you for more than 10 seconds unless the pilot wants to come after you).

Sadly when it comes to business sales, most sales with slow vehicles(post op vans) are not viable to be completed in LS, which forces me to switch sessions when selling, with this being said though I only sell Coke and Counterfeit Cash for now, looking to upgrade my Meth production and start selling that too and make some extra money, I don't spend money on security at all since I don't product sit in there, Coke sales are always a single vehicle if I sell only a full bar of supplies, easy peasy.

Sometimes I swing by LS to checkout the Casino or my mid-sized apartment with my 6 car garage with nothing but free Lucky Wheel cars...But I'm constantly reminded of why I choose to not live there, too much chaos, awful traffic, Mk2 everywhere, tryhards picking fights with anyone...

With this all being said though, I form stick around there all the time, mainly because the novelty wears off after a while and I want some action, so I drive down to LS looking for it...Plus there isn't much stuff to do there yet besides the businesses.

Confession time; I bought the Criminal Enterprise Starter Pack and with it got that I got the Paleto Bay Bunker...

I'm looking to swap this at some point for another one, maybe.

There's this other one that looks kinda cool that's taken my eye; I'm okay with my 'get away from it all' apartment and weed farm up there, but with my bunker already in place, IDK, looks kinda crowded up there on my map.

It might be counter-intuitive but, if I can't amuse myself with my game, then what's the point? lol
