I wouldn't recommend turning it "off" but maybe reducing it a bit. I edited the files to show you an example: https://imgsli.com/ODEyMA

 

The game looks much better with the fog.

So, I ended up corrupting my save game due to modding and now I have to Start over. Kind of annoyed that I lost all of my progress, but its not the end of the world.

No actually, I usually save at a new slot every day, but for some reason my game would crash on startup no matter what I did. So I just decided to delete it all and start over
