Known downgrades, bugs, glitches and more caused by the most recent patches across all consoles (XB1F, XB1S, XB1X, PS4F, PS4S and PS4P).

Yeah i have stopped my current playthrough until this get's resolved.

 

As soon as i saw that update kick me out of the game, i knew the performance was gonna be destroyed and lo and behold they've messed up everything again. I may just double dip and get the pc version.

 

I just don't want to support this garbage company that treats it's consumers like cattle.

Perhaps your thread title should have been something more along the lines of

 

“Patch 1.14 seems to have lowered performance for me on Xbox One”

 

I’ve played for a few hours on the new update on PS4 Pro, and there are no differences in graphics or performance whatsoever for me, as expected.
 

Of course, leave it to a GTAForums member to frantically jump on here after every new update and make claims of a “MAJOR DOWNGRADE!!1!1!” without providing a single shred of proof or evidence to go along with it. 
 

Btw, I’m not saying you’re wrong...but this place absolutely has a problem when it comes to placebo & seeing “downgrades” (that don’t actually exist) with each new update, and the hyperbolic nature of your title doesn’t make matters any better without actual evidence.

Or maybe it's the fact it was working perfectly fine before the update and now it runs like ass.

 

Maybe that's the reason. I'm gonna get tinfoil hat here and assume they've butchered the original consoles performance to sell newer copies and the pc version that's coming out. Otherwise the only reason for this is sheer incompetence.

And it's also broken on PS4 as you can CLEARY see in this video... I will try to record one myself tomorrow as well if I have time to.

Oh man 1536x864 and horrible FPS? Xbox One is a gift that just keeps on giving after 6 years on the market.

I could deal with the pop in, if the game didn't run at 12fps. Areas that would dip before are slaughtered in this update. 25 fps in the swamp area has been halved so it's now pretty much unplayable. What a shame.

I'll stop playing RDR2 until Rockstar fix all this bullsh*t, huge FPS drops, texture glitches, vegetation disappearing and so on... It's becoming unplayable. I wish I could go back to Patch 1.10, the best one in my opinion.

Alright, so I jumped on RDR2 just now (on PS4 Pro) and started a mission replay of “The Sheep and the Goats” to compare it to the footage shown in this thread. I also noticed the same exact foliage pop-in issue from the footage.

 

However, I am not noticing that pop-in during normal 3rd person gameplay; I’m only seeing it in certain cinematic camera angles like you see in the footage above, and also with the handheld camera zooming in-and-out. 
 

So for right now, it seems as though the cinematic camera & handheld camera are experiencing pop-in issues. I wonder if it’s been like this or if the new update actually introduced this issue.

1.10 was the pinnacle for me.

 

Bandoleers weren't broken, john didn't look like a mutant, fps was pretty much a locked 30, the view distance was gorgeous and no broken missions. I think rockstar will fix it, but i doubt we will see a fix for a long time.

Yeah, I’m noticing it when I scope in-and-out of my rifles (albeit to a lesser degree), but not so much with the binoculars.

 

I don’t believe this was intentional by Rockstar at all. It very much seems like a bug, it doesn’t seem to occur at all during normal 3rd person gameplay, which is what leads me to believe that. 
 

I don’t see why Rockstar would even be messing with the single player portion of the game anymore with these new updates, especially after they fixed the bad Ambient Occlusion back in May. 
 

I wouldn’t call this a major downgrade but definitely a very annoying bug. Again, I don’t own an Xbox console so the performance may very well be worse, but on PS4 Pro it’s still a pretty damn solid 30 for me no matter what’s going on or where I’m at.

I can't record it because i'm at work but on the xbox one s it's an unplayable slideshow right now. I'm almost tempted to just take my xbox offline and rollback the updates completely, because i was really enjoying the game. The game itself is good, i just wish the framerate wasn't so terrible. My xbox one x is supposed to arrive here in a week or so, so i guess i'll end up switching regardless.

 

It's just annoying.

I was playing RDO this morning and noticed some really close range pop-in. By close I mean throwing distance, walking normal speed and a shrub would pop up out of nowhere. I'm on a One X

My understand is yes because you need to uninstall the game and then reinstall it offline. If the game sees your current saves it’ll force you to update the game to use them

If you have saves that date after the 1.06 or 1.07 update, they will be corrupted so yes, you would need to start over completely. 

 

I personally did it because I do not care one bit about Red Dead Online, I think it's a horrendous cash grab and a  very shallow experience so I don't mind never connecting my PS4 to internet again. That being said, version 1.00 is not without its flaws but it does come with quite a few advantages, it all depends on what you want as the player.

Only reason I updated was because one of the Rock Carvings glitched, preventing me from getting 100% completion

I am mostly worried, because I am not sure rockstar acknowledges this as an issue. I am worried that I'm stuck with a 20 fps barely playable version that might never get fixed. And this is may favorite game of all time I could complete the story a dozen times and still be amazed. I also own the digital version so rolling back to 1.0 is not an option. Should I buy it for my pc too for another 60 bucks on a game I already bought? Or if it gets fixed somehow, should I worry after each update and pray this doesn't happen again?

 

Couldn't just Rockstar roll back pretty please to 1.13 and never ever touch the single player again?

Do not buy for PC if you already own the game on another platform. These downgrades and “bugs” are especially designed to make our console versions feel and perform even more inferior to the PC counterparts than they already are.

I was inspecting a random camp with binoculars so I could identify the camper's horse breed, medium distance (50 meters I guess) and was the first time I was really disgusted regarding graphics, the horse was polygons only. Never happened before for sure.

 

I didn't even know the game was updated because it's automatic on sleep mode so I didn't care about screenshot, next time will do for sure.

Oh no no no no no no. John has been a mutant since 1.02 and the game has only been going downhill since then

Baffles me how badly they've manage to f*ck this game since launch. Online is utter sh*t and PC launch has been bad too

Don't say the game has been downgraded in ANY way or you'll bring the "There was never any downgrades, the game is perfect now, your just hating on the game and making a fuss over everything " dudes here

Now, I'm not starting anything, but your the guy who made an entire thread arguing against facts saying that the game wasn't downgraded when it in fact was. Don't want to get this thread locked so that's all I'm saying about that.
