MrBreak16 Posted November 5, 2019 Share Posted November 5, 2019 (edited) I hear a lot of people saying that Gta 6 needs to happen in the 80s for reasons like : there is more gangs, there is more crimes, it have a better atmosphere...etc... That’s what I was thinking, One of the reasons I enjoyed Gta 4 and Gta 5 is because both games happen in modern times, Gta is basically a criminal life simulator and for that It is better if it is at our era because we can relate. I feel like most people want Gta 6 to happen in the 80s because of nostalgia, and that is just not good. We can’t relive nostalgia and that would just feel out of place... It's too early to tell what the 2020s will be like, the actual aesthetics and feel of the decade won't set in until three and a half to four years in, just like previous decades. The PS5 is to be released late next year, and realistically I don't expect another GTA until 2023 - 2024 so who knows .... If it is set in the 2020s it'll be interesting to see how they portray it to be, like, self-driving taxi rides, VR minigames, home assistant at your safehouse, doublespeak/throught crimes being the major theme in the talk radio stations, lots of muslim presence in the city with Radio Del Mundo making a major return, guns are extremely difficult to obtain (thanks democraps), references to cryptocurrency, agenda 2030 and NWO a major theme on talk stations ..... On his profile, lists a game set in f*cking 1899 as his favorite by R* but says a game set a few decades ago he cannot relate to. Are you serious? Also I heard most people say they want 80s Vice City for Gta 6... This would be the 4th time Vice City is set in the past : one time in the 90s, two times in the 80s. If when the next Gta game come out, it is set at Vice City and it’s not set in the 80s or 90s, do you think most people will be mad/disappointed ?
